Great location

Great location within walking distance to downtown. Owner was very prompt with getting back to us with a few problems we had. Overall, a good experience and we would stay here again.

Lovely cottage

We just returned from a week at this lovely home. Perfect for getting to the bike trails and walking into Edgartown. The beach was a quick bike ride away too! The house was clean and very cute. Our oldest daughter stayed in the little guest house, and loved it. I would love to have an outdoor shower like the one at the house. It is fantastic! The owners were very responsive when we had a question. We would not hesitate to rent this house again when we return!

Fabulous family cottage, great location

We just returned from a week at this beautiful cottage and could not have had a better stay. The main cottage is nicely renovated- we loved the bathroom and very well-appointed kitchen. However, I don't think we used the indoor shower once all week because the outdoor shower was so perfect! The new, separate one-bedroom cottage was perfect for our extra guests for a night, and for the kids to hang out in the rest of the week- and that extra half-bath was a nice feature. The owners were very kind and responsive, and even checked in mid-week to see how things were going. We grilled outside nearly every night and loved using the charcoal grill in the yard. Loved that they also supplied beach chairs. The absolute best part of this home was the amazing location. It's just on the edge of the main part of Edgartown. We were able to walk into town easily, or walk over to the huge playground and courts at the school basically across the street. There are a ton of great places just around the corner on Main Street as well- Stop & Shop, Edgartown Seafood Market, Lucky Hank's, Dairy Queen (ok, our 8-year old liked it!). We barely used our car all week since we rented bikes, including a toddler trailer, and biked nearly everywhere, including State Beach, Oak Bluffs, Wasque Beach on Chappy, and just down the road a mile to Morning Glory Farm. We loved staying here and hope we're able to do so again next year! Thank you, Bridget and Family-

Really convenient to bike, swim, restaurants and hang out on the porch!

Really wonderful time hanging out on the beautiful deck for family dinners, walking into town, biking,biking , biking and swimming!

Location, location, location!!

We have spent a lot of summers in MV. The location and cleanliness of this home was perfect. The house was 1 block away from the bike path and a short walk into Edgartown. Driving and parking around MV during the summer is challenging. Fortunately, we only had to get in the car once the entire week. We biked to the beach to Morning Glory Farm and many other places on the island. The house had everything . From glassware for our evening cocktails to towels and linens. We had everything we needed.

Friend vacation

We had the best experience renting this property for our vacation. We had two families both with 2 little kids and this property was perfect! Had all the amenities you could want and a lot of the property was newly renovated and beautiful! The owner was so responsive and checked in to make sure everything was going well during our stay and was available any time we had questions. Highly recommend this property and it’s location for a great vacation!

Close to Edgartown, Bring Linens

We had a wonderful time staying here. The property is an enjoyable 10-15 min walk to Edgartown and the house has everything you need for a lovely stay. The owners were responsive and kind. The deck area is open and relaxing. However, the house is quite small so we spent most of our time outside and the front of the house faces a storage facility (which was not a problem but also not what we expected when booking). IMPORTANT to note, you need to bring or rent linens. This was stated in the property details but we missed it. Consequently, we were scrambling for sheets at 5pm on a Saturday. To our knowledge, Takemmy Linen Rental is the only place on the Island to rent linens and it does not have good reviews.

Best week ever!!!

We just spent a week in this charming house! Located on a quiet street with an easy stroll to downtown and our 4 kids went on countless bike rides... this lovely home is conveniently located ride near the bike path too. Even Better the Second Time Around!

This summer, our family returned to this quintessential island home for the second consecutive year. Previously, we had spent several years "rental-hopping" trying to match location and space, plus amenities, to our needs. We are thrilled that we found the perfect match for us and our young boys (now ages 6 and 4) and hope to continue to rent as long as Billy and Betsy will have us! This home has it all: location to our favorite spots (walking, driving, and biking), indoor and outdoor space, a cottage which accommodates for outdoor napping for young children (and admittedly, an adult on occasion) and possibly a little independence for kids in their pre-teen+ years. A short walk, even with young children, to Edgartown, proximity to the grocery store, local brewery, ice cream, play ground, museum, and more!, short drives to our favorite beaches (we tend to stick to our favorites: Long Point Cove and South Beach), and our trips to Aquinnah and Menemsha direct and super easy. You honestly cannot ask for more! Billy and Betsy are very transparent and quite easy to work with; they are truly eager to help you make the most of your stay.

Fantastic ... everything!

The home and cottage were ideal for our family consisting of two children, aged five and three. Our boys were thrilled with the large, private yard, "ring game", and the ability to hang out in the loft. The beautiful deck offered opportunities to dine and relax at all hours of the day ... especially with our day beginning well before 7:00am! The amenities offered within the home and cottage were outstanding and very much up-to-date; with the extra half-bath proving to be most useful! We all especially enjoyed the outdoor shower ... never once using the indoor shower! A very short walk (even with young children) to the grocery store, ice cream shoppe, fish market, bike shop, and playground were also perks! The walk to Edgartown was fun and allowed us to further explore the town as we were not constantly worried about parking - finding it or staying beyond our time limit. We frequent Long Point Pond and Menemsha on our vacations and this house location could not have been more ideal for these trips! Lighthouse Beach, South Beach, and Right Fork Diner are our other favorite destinations and we were able to enjoy all several times throughout the week because of their close proximity to the house; well under 10minutes. The kind owners are amazing; their attention to detail in addition to renters' satisfaction is unmatched. The boys are still talking about Betsy and Billy's home. We are already looking forward to returning next year!!

Great Edgartown Rental!

We have stayed in this adorable home two summers in a row and could not have been happier. The owners are great to work with, the house is very clean and the guest house, large back deck, and outdoor shower are amazing! The house is conveniently located near State Beach, downtown Edgartown, and a quick walk to a school with multiple playgrounds for different age groups - what more could you look for in with a reasonably priced rental in Edgartown! I highly recommend this house to anyone looking to vacation on Martha's Vineyard. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Adorable, super clean cottage in an amazing location!

I am in love with this cottage. It's the perfect size for 2-6 guests with the perfect combination of modern amenities and Vineyard charm. We prepared many meals in the small, but well-appointed and super clean kitchen. It was recently renovated and lovely -- we appreciated the great dishwasher that made clean-up a snap while on vacation. The bathroom is small but also renovated -- but it was the outdoor shower we really loved! Speaking of outdoor space, the deck is to die for -- the back yard feels very private. Lots of comfortable seating. A wonderful place to relax! On top of the charm of the cottage, it's located in a perfect place. 10-minute walk to Edgartown or to the grocery store. Super close to bike paths in all directions (we brought our bikes and did lots of great biking throughout the week.) It's also really close to a couple of great beaches -- State Beach and Katama Beach are within a 5 minute drive (or a 15-20 minute bike ride on well maintained bike paths.) I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone that wants a great Vineyard vacation -- already thinking of renting it again next year!

Great place to stay in a great Vineyard town

We rented the house during one of the most impeccable weather weeks in July. This house was everything we wanted and more. Communication with the owners during the initial steps of renting was easy and smooth. The house is a beautiful, clean, and cozy cottage, with a beach feel. We immediately felt like we were at a home away from home. The deck is a fantastic space to hang out when you aren't at the beach, which is a short drive, bike, or run away. The house is even more close to the town which is just a short walk away. The house has many amenities that typical beach rentals don't have like AC in the bedrooms, laundry, tv, wireless, and cable (not that you want to be watching TV while on the Vineyard); all of which added to our satisfaction with our stay. Thanks so much for such a great rental as it certainly made our vacation more enjoyable!
