Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just got home from spring break in Destin with friends. We each rented our own condos at Sandpiper. It was the perfect little getaway. We spent lots of time walking across the street to the beach, eating meals from “The Sand Flea” on the beach, going to the heated pool, etc. Overall a great experience and we plan to go back next year. Our condo was in great shape and very clean. My only issue was that our bed was basically so uneven that we sunk into the middle immediately every night. Everything else was great.

Unexpected but Lovely!

Reviewer Comments: So we booked this on Expedia, and looking at the ad, you wouldn't know that these condos are two stories, and have other condos to the sides. However, they were great. You really couldn't hear any of the neighbors, and the beach was a super short walk away. The first night we were there, the AC went out in our place, but they had it fixed in no time. Checking in was super easy, even if you dont make it by the 5 pm deadline. The only issue we really had was a sliding glass door to the back porch that was almost impossible to open, but that wasn't a big deal at all. The property, including the beach, was very clean, and every employee that we spoke to was super awesome. When we go back down to Destin, we will absolutely book with these guys again!

4th of July Stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was wonderful. A few things I would change was that the private beach is very over crowded with rental chairs. Also, the unit is not supplied with necessities like toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back!

We are happy that you enjoyed your stay! Unfortunately the beaches all over the Destin area are very crowded especially during the fourth of July! We do have a linen exchange everyday that is free for you to use. You can exchange your linens and towels for fresh clean ones and you can also get extra toilet paper, dishwasher soap, and extra garbage bags throughout your stay. You should have had this and extras upon your arrival as well. We hope to see you again soon!

I apologize that you had this experience. The condos should be fully equipped with all of your basic cooking needs, After doing an inventory there were two a stainless steel skillets, one medium and one large. Thank you for letting us know about the blinds, they have since been replaced. If you ever need anything when visiting please feel free to come to the office for any of your needs.

Family Vacation

From the booking process to the check in process to the stay, it was all great. We never had communication with the property management company so I guess that was a good thing. The only things that I would have changed were the bunk bed mattresses were incredibly hard, very uncomfortable to sleep on and the television in the living room was extremely hard to watch because it would play a show for a few seconds then it would buffer. You could barely watch the tv. I know being on a beach vacation the intention is not to watch tv but at night while relaxing it would have been nice. Other than those 2 things, this was a perfect place for our family vacation and we would stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I've stayed at Sandpiper Cove ~ a dozen times and this wasn't my favorite stay. The unit is as described but upon arrival our AC wasn't functioning and the wifi/TV weren't connecting. Because this was a girls trip, the wifi and TV weren't a huge issue but by day 3 we had to report the AC because the unit got so hot. Maintenance fixed it immediately (bonus). The unit is convenient to both Louisiana Lagniappe and the beach as well as the water taxi.

Me and my family were told at the laminate before leaving for the property that the unit # had been changed due to leaking above, however when we arrived we had to wait outside the new unit for 20-30 min in the cold outside due to the code not working that we were given for the new unit. Then when we got in the unit was not comparable to the previous unit we actually confirmed, as it did not have the sleeping options we requested to accommodate our family. I was told that for customer service recovery that they would look into a discount on my rental bill due to the inadequacies with the situation and that they would get back to me, but I have been checked out for a week and heard nothing back. Disappointed...

Detailed review

Overall we enjoyed ourselves. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and serene. The pools are nice and thankfully there are enough of them so they aren't crowded. The condo was super clean and I never saw a single bug. There are plenty of blankets. There is even closet space to hang clothes (most places I've stayed only have dressers and the closets are reserved for owners). The pull out couch was comfortable. There were some downsides. The condo is not a one minute walk to the beach. It was more like 3 and you have to cross a road. We had small children so we ended up driving. The patio furniture was awful and not even usable. It was so rusted a leg was missing on the table, and another was taped on with electrical tape. The dining table inside wasn't much better. They definitely need two new dining sets. The mattress in the bedroom had a foam topper which helped, but it folds you like a taco into the middle of the bed. I like my husband,so not too big of a deal. They do however need black out curtains in that bedroom. It's super bright in the morning so no sleeping in. The water pressure was good for showering. They need to put extra trash cans and trash bags in the condo. Frustrating because we ran out on check out day, but the exchange that gives more doesn't open until an hour before you're supposed to leave. The dryer is terrible. I dried one load 4 times and they still weren't dry. The decor in the living room is terrible- way too much mismatched stuff.

Cozy stay

We were there playing softball, so I was thankful for the washer and dryer. Wish the walk to the beach was a little closer, but it could have been worse. Lots of channels and options on the TV. The upstairs neighbor had a water leak, which affected our bathroom, but it wasn't anything that could be helped. It was expensive, so I don't think we will stay again but, we had a good time.

The only downsides are as others have mentioned, the dryer does not work which is a pain for an extended stay and the king bed is not very comfortable--it's really soft, and with two people we both rolled to the middle of the bed. The management was very cooperative when we needed to shorten our 6 week stay to 4 weeks. Only complaint would be the mattress on the king bed and getting out of it.

Disappointing

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is in a nice location and checking in was easy. Our condo had sand on the floors which we swept up when we arrived. Bed was not comfortable and dryer did not work. (We looked back at previous reviews and both were noted). Maint. Came and tried to fix dryer - no success. Construction began on decks in our area and we asked to be moved or reduced rate. This was not offered but they offered to refund if we left early for dates we did not use. We took advantage of this and departed. Getting the right refund took several rounds but we had our original receipt to verify dates. We are exploring long term snowbird plans and this will not be considered.
