The unit was clean and tidy with scenic views of the mountains. I gave it a 3 star rating as it took some time to check in. The front desk could not find our reservation and had to create a new one. The toiletries (hair conditioner & body lotion) were empty.
When I ski, one big requirement is a hot tub. In my opinion the inoperable hot tub should be clear in the listing, as it is a material amenity. The listing did NOT note that both hot tubs were inoperative. However, it was disclosed to me subsequently via text. The tubs did not just recently break, and they had no idea when it would be repaired, so no excuse not to disclose in the listing. Telling me after I made the nonrefundable reservation is not acceptable. Overall, the property is what you see in the photos. It is nice and the location is good and I feel the price for what you get is fair. I saw the hotel manager daily and he was always extremely nice and always asked if we needed anything. I also do not consider this to be ski in/out. This hotel sits below the base of the ski area. So, you get your skis from the ski valet by the pool, walk out the back gate and start the uphill trek for around 300 yards to the bottom of outdoor stairs. Here you climb up 50 of them (I counted) to the area where the Gondola is located. At the end of the day, the good news is you get to climb down. Was it a huge deal for just me. No. If I had kids with gear to haul up it would be. Also, the town bus leaves from the bottom of the Cabriolet chair, which stops at 6:00 pm, so to go into town at night, you Uber or drive. This location is not for me, but if you are on a budget, you will have a hard time finding a better place.
