We absolutely loved this property

  • 4 of 5

A group of us girls did a weekend getaway at this property back in the fall 2016...we absolutely loved this was so relaxing yet we had so much fun...we all agree that we MUST return soon and continue to build fun memories in this cozy house. The backyard is absolutely breathtaking....could use some upgrades but it's perfect for our budget the way it is.

Thank you Mrs. Sally for making our dream a reality!!

House falsely represented in ad. Disappointed.

  • 1 of 5

In a nutshell - the lift is made for a small john-boat, is dangerous and at risk of falling. I called prior to renting to verify that it was good for a ski boat (19ft. i/o), and was told it was. I even called after the flooding to double check that it was still good. The dishwasher doesn't work (she came out and messed with it and finally got it to work for her after many, many attempts, but it worked only once for me), there is a serious electrical issue (plug something in the wall and a random light in the house or outside comes on), a stove burner sometimes works, the deck has nails sticking up all over it; the sliding glass doors, up and downstairs,(all but the back one) have signs taped on them to not open them, the back one is all fogged which blocks the lake view from most windows, and the management does not respond if you call more than once. The first time they responded quickly. After the first time, my texts and calls were ignored completely! I gave the manager an opportunity to make it right by giving me a partial refund because things were not as advertised. They would not. We have rented many times in many locations. This is the first negative review I have ever posted. We are easy to please renters (so don't believe it if she responds differently). We rented for 2 weeks. The neighbors indicated many long-term issues with the lift, so this was no surprise to the management when I called. There is much potential for the house, if only... I would only recommend this property if they repaired the lift, fixed the electrical danger, fixed windows/sliding glass doors so you can open them and see through them, repaired the decks, and upgraded the stove (1970's) and dishwasher. It really has a lot of potential. If I were the owner, I'd hire new management as well. Poor customer service.

Owner's Response: Poor customer service? When property management co. was first notified of issue with boat lift a boat dock contractor was promptly sent over to rectify and at considerable expense to owner, adjustments were made to better accommodate their boat. When told of trouble with dishwasher, manager personally went over and showed guest how to operate. Had been working fine prior to this guest and after this guest. Property manager was asked to provide an additional unscheduled lawn service and went ahead and provided as an act of good will. Management company overlooked the fact that there were more guests staying at property than signed rental agreement. One free night was included in the original vacation package. This is an older lake home and priced at the lower range of comparable vacation rentals in area. All efforts are made to keep well maintained and kept clean for guest enjoyment. The home has "character" as we like to say in this business. A million dollar view in a lovely setting of grass, shade trees and waterfront! Nothing falsely represented here. An excellent track record with many a satisfied guest, that we are sure would be quick to disagree with "easy to please".

Great Stay!!

  • 5 of 5

I totally recommend using VRBO in helping locate homes to stay in during vacation. Our experience was great! The manager of the home we stayed in was great about answering questions in a timely manner, the stay was great and cozy, and we received our deposit back in a week from our departure date.

Family stay

  • 4 of 5

We had a great stay! The large shaded yard was great for our family to spend time together playing games and had a great view of the lake. The yard was well lite with flood lights and had several tables and chairs to sit in with a large deck. The home was comfortable, clean and well stocked. The boat lift was to small for our 21 foot boat and we pulled it out of the water nightly. The boat ramp is in town a few miles away. We enjoyed our stay and would return again!

Family Time!

  • 5 of 5

We found the house to be very comfortable and home-like. The yard and lakeside deck are shady and the view is awesome. My girls enjoyed the swimming area which had a nice combination of shallow and deep water with soft ground. The neighborhood was quiet and the location on the lake was great. Having a boat lift was very convenient, as well.

Awesome it is!

  • 5 of 5

The Awesome A-frame is everything it appears to be, and more. The house is clean, comfortable and very well-stocked. It's a great place to escape the hassles of your every day life. The deck is the best place to be morning, noon and night. With the shade trees, it's always cool and comfortable. It's location on the lake is perfect. I can't wait to go back!
