Lovely stay

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was small but very cozy and felt like home. Owner was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions very timely. Would definitely recommend this property and may even stay again myself.

Beautiful home on the lake

Such a perfect house for our weekend getaway. Mares was very responsive with everything. The house is very clean and well taken care of. Beautiful views! I loved the the lake just a few feet outback. Seeing the deer every morning was so cool! Next time we go away, we will definitely be contacting Mares again. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Getaway in the Woods with Lots to Do!

We have a great 4-night stay and would recommend! The house was clean and as described. A but rustic but great for a woodsy retreat. Sitting in the comfortable living room almost has a treehouse feel as you are nestled right in the woods. The property is great because it is large and secluded/private being on the creek, but also has the convenience of the dock on the lake. My kids loved using the canoe provided to row over to one of the beaches. We visited 3 of the 4 beaches - all clean and all had fun playgrounds for the kids. Island Park is a close drive and has a great pool as well. Mares the owner is very communicative and helpful. There is plenty to do in the community and we also ventured out for an awesome hike with a waterfall (Austin T Blakeslee Natural Area, 20 min drive) and Kalahari indoor waterpark on a rainy day.

Great stay

We stayed for 4 days for my husbands birthday.. this was our second stay here.. my husband loves the fishing here and with such close proximity to the water and a dock on property it was easy to launch his kayak.. the home is very clean.. the owner is also very easy to reach if and questions should arise. The property is within easy access of my things to do.. looking forward to a return stay

Comfy retreat in the woods with amazing views

We stayed at Mares' wonderful cabin for a week in mid-March and thoroughly enjoyed it! It's great that most of the windows look only at trees and the stream just beyond so you get a wonderful feeling of seclusion. We loved just staying in and having a fire in the great fireplace alternating with going on some of the many many hikes nearby. The living room is really wonderful and feels open with lots of sunlight streaming through the two walls that are mostly sliding glass doors. If it was a bit warmer, we would have been hanging out on the two decks so we're looking forward to doing that when we come again in the summer! Mares is incredibly attentive and joyful and has lots of good suggestions for nearby hikes and other things to do. The kitchen has most everything you need with pots, pans, utensils, plates, glasses, a blender, and more! We definitely want to go again!

Cozy weekend getaway!

The house is super cozy for a weekend getaway. Celebrated my mothers 50th birthday. There was a bottle of wine and a card ready upon our arrival which was such a sweet touch. The host communication was amazing. Very informative and quick responses. Kitchen was great for hosting a big breakfast. Community center hosts daily activists, Check in was easy and convenient. Lake view was nice to wake up to. Would stay again!

House was comfy for a quick weekend getaway. Small but spacious enough for 4 adults. Host was amazing with communication throughout the whole process. Celebrated my mothers 50th birthday and a bottle of wine and birthday card was there for her upon arrival! So sweet. The community has daily activities. Check in was very easy and convenient.

Perfect Getaway and Then Some!!!

First, the owner Mare is extremely polite and made everything so easy to head down and enjoy our stay. The fire pit by the water was the best part. Just steps away from the house. So quiet!!! The house itself was extremely clean and organized. The kitchen was perfectly set up to accommodate all cooking needs. The fireplace in the house was so relaxing. There is beautiful scenery all around . Me and 2 friends enjoyed the heck out of the place. Would highly recommend to anyone wanted to get away and have a the perfect accommodations. So lucky to have gotten to stay here!!

Beautiful location and home

The home and location was wonderful!! The owner was a pleasure to work with. So many hiking places within 30-40 minutes including Bushkill Falls which is a must see. The community looks like it would be a great place to spend a long weekend or week during the summer specially for kids.

Perfect winter getaway

House and property were great. Located close to multiple ski mountains and not far from a scranton day trip. The woods surrounding it were great for the kids to play in.
