Located in the heart of Northern Michigan, Camp Garno is a 4 season destination! Enjoy beautiful summer days canoeing, rafting and fishing, just a few miles away, on the majestic Manistee River! Chippewa Landing canoe livery is only a short drive and will have all the equipment you will need! Tee up at Emerald Vale and Missaukee Golf Courses, are top notch and within a short drive as well! Check out the local "hidden treasure" known as the bubbling springs; a natural spring in the woods that "bubbles" as it comes up! (Map included at the cabin). With state land across the street, you can trail ride with your ATV, ORV, dirtbike or snowmobile! There are trails for miles and miles in all directions,... the trail head is just a mile up the road! Fall brings beautiful colors to our area making it a great destination for color touring and hiking! Looking for hunting property?? Our cabin has been enjoyed as a hunting camp during deer season by several groups! Our guests have had great success in the woods across the road from the cabin and look forward to coming back again and again! Winter time is beautiful at the cabin, curl up with a book or strap on your snow shoes and go for an adventure! Snow shoe to the river or other scenic views along Michigan's North Country Trail! Interested in down hill skiing? We are within an hour drive of several ski resorts as well! Manton and Lake City have great festivals throughout the year including Manton's Labor Day Harvest Festival and Lake City's Greatest Fourth in the North! Feel free to ask what is happening locally,... there is always something! If your looking for good food and fun, 308 Bar and Grill (Manton) offers comedy night and live music on various weekends along with wood fired pizza, burgers, wraps and steak night on Friday nights (a local favorite)! If you are looking for a fun place to shop and grab lunch, Latitude 44 is a eclectic and tasty coffee/ice cream/ sandwich destination with retail shops that are sure to keep you coming back again and again! Looking to venture out for the day? We are within an hour of wine country (ask for details on the wine tours), venture to Sleeping Bear Dunes or spend a day sunbathing on Lake Michigan! Whatever your style, adventure awaits!! Northern Michigan really is something special!!

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to consider our cabin as your vacation getaway! My family and I have made many memories at Camp Garno!! My husband Jeremie and I grew up in Northern Michigan and can't imagine living anywhere else! We are business owners and are raising our 3 amazing children here in Manton!! We try to stay very involved with our community and enjoy the small town feel! We have a love for our area and spend much of our free time out on the Manistee River fishing and enjoying it's beauty! We also enjoy hunting and trail riding our Jeep and Polaris Ranger, which was the reason for purchasing the camp in 2016! We feel that our cabin offers something special, a place to relax and take in nature, but also a central hub for the outdoors!! The adventures are limitless!! We want you to feel at home when you are at camp and we would love to help you plan the ultimate vacation. We understand that vacations do not come as often as we would like, so we've set up camp to provide everything you will need to have fun and enjoy your stay!

Why they chose this property

This property is surrounded by public land,... which means it's ours to use!! Who wouldn't love 100's of acres of property to explore, hunt, hike?? We also love that we are centrally located,... we can be to Traverse CIty in 30 minutes and to Lake Michigan in an hour!!

What makes this property unique

My favorite time at the cabin is morning! Waking up to the birds chirping and the leaves rustling,... I grab my book, my cup of coffee and go lay in the hammock and take it all in! At night we enjoy laughs by the fire pit, roasting marshmallows and talking about the day's adventures.
