The cottage was great for my wife and I and our granddaughter and her girlfriend joined us for three nights, too. Room for all of us. Easy in and out. Great location…quick ride to Hollywood Star walk and we’re actually to walk to Paramount Studios from the cottage. We didn’t find the couch comfortable at all but if you don’t plan on just sitting around watching TV, you’ll be fine. The beds were super comfortable. Awesome water pressure in the shower…like potentially also exfoliated! LOLHost left snacks and water which were greatly appreciated.

The good things: excellent communication with hosts and very spacious and cute house on the inside. However: the hosts seem to be new to VRBO and haven’t quite perfected the home yet in my opinion. I have already messaged them with my list of things that I think would make the home more comfortable, but also there are some things that are totally out of their control that I think really make this house difficult to rent. The biggest issue was parking. There is ZERO street parking unless you fight for it. It’s a small street and it’s packed with neighbor’s cars. The “garage” that was listed in the ad is not a garage. It’s a very small side yard with a locked gate. I tried to squeeze my Hyundai Ioniq 5 in there multiple times (mirrors folded in). It fit, but I could not get out of the car! One night I actually found street parking and in the morning I looked out the window and saw no cars on the street!! I ran out and realized I had to move the car because it was street sweeping day. Keep in mind, there is no parking for blocks and blocks. The neighborhood is also ridiculously noisy. The houses on the street are almost touching each other. If you open the drapes you’ll be looking in your neighbors house. And the dogs barking across the street!! OMG, for hours one morning. This home is really adorable inside and the hosts are clearly nice people, but it was definitely not worth the 400 a night that I paid and i would not book here again.

We would like to clarify that the property does offer private, gated on-site parking, which is a valuable amenity in central Los Angeles where dedicated parking can be extremely limited. As noted in our listing, the space is best suited for standard-size vehicles, and larger vehicles may find it tight. Street parking is public, and availability as well as posted street-sweeping restrictions are outside of our control. The home is located on a usually quiet residential street in the heart of Los Angeles. As with any residential neighborhood, occasional noise from neighbors or pets can occur, but this is not typically an issue at the property. We make every effort to provide a clean, comfortable, thoughtfully maintained home and transparent information so guests can determine whether it is the right fit for their stay. We appreciate the feedback and are glad you enjoyed the home itself and our communication.
