GREAT vacation rental - we loved it!

  • 5 of 5

GREAT cabin. Very comfortable and cozy and private, yet a mile from a grocery store. This property is perfectly set up as a vacation rental. Everything we needed was in the home, beds were comfortable, linens and kitchen were clean, there's a great BBQ, super fast Wi-fi and a big DVD collection. Docking a boat is easy and all the lake toys are here - bikes, kayaks, paddleboats. Hosts were very responsive and easy to chat to. We didn't want to leave!

Five Stars: Chris and Terry were absolutely great hosts!

  • 5 of 5

The home in Mineral, VA was very warm and cozy. All amenities listed were functional.

Terry and Chris were very accommodating as well as available to answer any questions. All inquiries were promptly responded to.

The Jones’ and their home should be considered as a highly sought after as well as a viable option within the VRBO association!

Great house. Great lake!

  • 5 of 5

House was perfect for long weekend of fishing. Circle driveway was great for bass boat and trailer. Firepit was relaxing. Only thing that could have made it better would be to spend more than 3 nights there!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND PERFECT!

  • 5 of 5

I love love love this place! Everything was just amazing! The location was perfect. To begin.... The house itself was very simply decorated. It gave you that cabin in the mountains feeling and look. Very cozy... The beds and bunk beds were very comfortable. They even have a pull out sofa! The couches were comfy. They had everything available to use just as if was your own home. We had breakfast, lunches and dinners on the deck and out on the dock! Just so peaceful! We definitely used the fire pit which was cozy and relaxing! And the slide!!! Oh my the slide was so much fun! Made you feel like a kid again! We used the kayaks and the canoe which is fun. They also had 2 hammocks which are very nice! We couldn't have asked for better weather! There was lots to do around the town. Like wineries, restaurants, little shops, local grocery store to shop at, places to rent pontoons, etc. This was our first time renting a place from this VRBO site and we picked the perfect place! Almost everyday we had cute whitetail deer come through our yard! We also explored lake Anna state park! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place! Great communication from the owners! They were very detailed about letting us know instructions and for everything! Amazing! Amazing! I cannot thank the owners enough for this wonderful vacation!! Thank you!

The pictures of this rental are deceiving .

  • 1 of 5

The pictures of the house makes it look great . However it does need some work . We were expecting a lake view and you could barley see the lake . There is not a lot to do in Lake Anna so 7 days was way to long . It was a nice place to visit but will not go back .

what a great place

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic place. We came for the weekend as my wife was doing a triathlon. It was raining hard all night but we were warm and snug. The next day was beautiful, and the children loved kayaking around the lake. Sitting on the Deck by the lake on Sunday morning as the sun came up was really special. Great location, really well equipped cabin, and Robin and Brian were easy going and a pleasure to rent from. I'll be recommending this place to our friends for sure

About Terry & Chris Jones

We both grew up in Illinois, but we have lived in Florida for many years. We have two sons, one who lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife and two children, and another who lives in Washington, DC. After retiring from our jobs in teaching and real estate development, we decided to look for a place on the water where we could relax, fish, enjoy beautiful scenery and most importantly spend time with family and friends.

Terry & Chris Jones purchased this cabin in 2017

Why Terry & Chris Jones chose Mineral

Our youngest son introduced us to Lake Anna several years ago and we began spending our vacations there. We loved being on the lake and enjoyed the many amenities and historical significance of the surrounding area. When we found White Tail Hollow, we were immediately taken by its tranquility and beauty. It is the perfect place to relax, recharge and reconnect with loved ones!

What makes this cabin unique

This quiet property offers an easy walk to the water where there is a dock from which you can launch a row boat, canoe or kayak (all provided). We also have swimming, bicycles and hiking. There are several marinas where you can rent a pontoon boat, or you can just relax on the deck and bird watch (during the winter months it's not uncommon to see a Bald Eagle gliding up the cove looking for a meal). Whitetail Hollow really is a special place.
