About Robin or Brian Barnard

We enjoy traveling and being with friends and family, Lake Anna is one of our favorite places to be. We look forward to each time we're here and we believe you'll see why, the first time you visit!

Robin or Brian Barnard purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Robin or Brian Barnard chose Central Virginia

We fell in love with Lake Anna the first time we visited, and it wasn't long till we started looking for the 'perfect place'. Well, we believe we've found it, and we think you will too! We love it more each time we are there.

What makes this cabin unique

This quiet property offers an easy walk to the water where there is a dock from which you can launch a row boat, canoe or kayak (all provided). We also have swimming, bicycles and hiking. There are several marinas where you can rent a pontoon boat, or you can just relax on the deck and bird watch (during the winter months it's not uncommon to see a Bald Eagle gliding up the cove looking for a meal). Whitetail Hollow really is a special place.

what a great place

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic place. We came for the weekend as my wife was doing a triathlon. It was raining hard all night but we were warm and snug. The next day was beautiful, and the children loved kayaking around the lake. Sitting on the Deck by the lake on Sunday morning as the sun came up was really special. Great location, really well equipped cabin, and Robin and Brian were easy going and a pleasure to rent from. I'll be recommending this place to our friends for sure

Cozy Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We spent Spring Break at White Tail Hollow. The cabin was clean, cozy and had everything that we needed. Loved the cabin, lake, kayaks and the peace and quiet. Floozie's Pie Shop was awesome!

Stress Free Get-Away

  • 4 of 5

February is not our top choice for a vacation, but we were looking for a place to just get away from the stresses of daily life. White Tail Hollow proved to be the ideal location. As it turned out, we were blessed with a beautiful weekend, but the house had everything we needed whether inside or outside. During the day we enjoyed the deck, the dock, and nearby Lake Anna State Park. In the evening, we snuggled in with games and books. We found the peace and solitude that we wanted. The owners were very prompt with their response when we made a contact to rent the property and made the arrangements very easy to complete. The focus of the area is the lake and related activities, but it is also an ideal location if you are just looking for a comfy vacation house in a serene setting.

Thanksgiving Getaway

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed moving our family Thanksgiving to Lake Anna and this awesome cabin getaway. The living room is great with big window and lots of morning sunlight. We made good use of the kayaks and the firepit. Kitchen was more than sufficient for cooking a Thanksgiving meal.

The only real knock was that we were a little tight in the bedrooms with four adults and two kids, but we knew that going in.

Autumn escape

  • 5 of 5

My family and I could not had asked for more. We had a wonderful fall escape from the norm to relax and spend some family time together. My 3 year old will not stop talking about her rides on the kayak and fishing from the dock. Even my 16 month old had a blast rolling around in the leaves. We all had a great trip to this wonderful property set in the perfect location.

Best lake front property that we've ever been to!

  • 5 of 5

White-Tail Hollow is so beautiful and well maintained, it’s by far the best lake front property that we’ve ever been to. Every little detail whether for convenience or mood is taken care of. Even though the pictures and property description tell a lot about it, the moment you walk into this property, no words or photos can relay the real experience!

Sitting inside the house with the massive window view just puts you in an amazing mood as you experience the warmth and quality of the wood that the house is made of and the lighting further emphasizes the ambiance. Then you look at the little details and your eyes are just so happy to see the table lamps with the bass trying to catch the lure, the carpets with bears and moose, the dining table chandelier that matches the carpets, the wooden art pieces all over the house, the Christmas decoration in the kitchen, the cute sign on the way out to the deck that reads “great fishermen have passed through this door”... all those touches contributed to the incredible experience that we lived :)

Stepping outside to the deck, is yet another experience, we used to have breakfast out on the deck with the beautiful view of nature and the sounds of the different birds singing, I even recorded their sounds to capture the memory and take it back home with me!

As for the dock, this is yet another masterpiece on this property! We fished everyday; even the rain didn't stop us! We kept our lines in the water and sat under the conveniently located umbrella on the dock and waited for one of the lines to drag. We caught lots of catfish on a bottom rig, some white perch and lots of bluegills on a bobber. There were so many kayaks and boats, we couldn’t decide which one to take out! We took the fiberglass row boat out for a blissful tour in the lake :) My boyfriend took one of the bikes out for a ride too. We saw many turtles popping out of the water, and so many birds roaming the sky, ducks diving into the water and even a fawn paid us a visit when we were fishing on the dock! we turned around and there she was right behind the dock :)

The owners were very accommodating and great to deal with. Thank you so much Robin and Brian for everything. We can’t wait to be back already.
