Perfect location for outdoor activities! Just across the street is Crystal Lake. Tippy Dam is a short drive. There are many snowmobile trails that run through and around Wellston. Caberfae Peaks Ski and Golf Resort is only 20 minutes away. Nestled between Cadillac and Manistee, this cozy cottage sleeps eight. There are two sets of bunk beds, one queen bed and 1 pull out sofa. High speed Wi-Fi internet access and basic cable. Plenty of storage space for your gear in the dry basement. Washer and dryer. 4 kayaks available for use. Well equipped kitchen includes coffee maker, electric griddle, toaster, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, etc. Front patio is great for grilling or simply enjoying the view of Crystal Lake!

It was a great place to stay. Had 5 guys staying for the week for salmon fishing. Nice rooms, plenty of space for us and our gear. Sara, thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your place. We will be back next year.

Manistee has so much to offer. The lake is great for swimming, and many hiking spots are nearby. The cottage felt like home and I really enjoyed myself. Would definitely return to this spot.

Clean, with good amenities. Loved the coffee set up with pods and creamers in fridge. Owner said to use the condiments too. 3 adults in the house so the kitchen banquette woked out great for meals and card games. Wish the fire ring was in a more private location we often felt like we were being watched by neighbors. More exterior privacy from neighbor/hood would be a positive.

Cottage was perfectly clean with lots of nice extra amenities, including some condiments etc to make cooking easier. Very cute inside. Location close to the lake was perfect for little kids. nice to also be a close drive to lake michgan and manistee river. Husband was able to do lots of road biking in the area. My kids swam a ton but did end up getting swimmers itch from the local lake so renters should maybe take that into consideration.

Nice little place.

We enjoyed our stay. We all loved the paddle boat. All enjoyed the Kayak's and beach. Nice slow traffic street and quiet neighborhood. Parks were close by.

Great view of the lake!

We loved our stay! Sarah was awesome. House was clean with tons of extras for the whole family. It was so nice to be able to let kiddos play on the swings and beach and still keep an eye on them. Perfect for families. I'm hoping we can get the time off to stay again!

Comfy, clean home in a great location.

I stay in Wellston a couple of times each summer and this home is now my favorite. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable living room seating and deck. The house is across the street from the lake and beach which I loved. Waking up to the fog on the lake was so peaceful and I could walk my dog around the lake multiple times a day. If you love the north woods, this home is for you.

Great family weekend

The place was as advertised. Perfect spot for a small family to be able to stay comfortably. Neighbors welcomed us and were friendly, which is nice because the places are close together. Lots of water activities right across the street and many other things to do within a short distance in all directions. Would recommended to family and friends to stay here. Thanks for being great hosts and allowing us to “move in” for a few days!

Perfect location for Secluded family getaway

This cute home makes great use of space, has a well-stocked kitchen, and is amazingly located - close to ski resorts, close enough to Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and state and national parks with hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, right by snowmobile trails, and maybe most importantly right across from a tiny lake with a public beach and non-motorized boat access directly across the street. We set up our ice shanty and went ice fishing over our stay (no luck unfortunately.) The owners responded to messages quickly and kindly. We're going back for a summer trip next!

Cabin in Wellston

Our stay in Wellston was wonderful! The access to temperature control was a necessity for us since we have an infant, so the upgrades to the property were very useful. The cabin had all of the kitchen appliances and utensils plus more as well as the bedrooms and bathroom. If you need extra space for storage there is plenty in the basement as well. The lake (and small beach) were right across the street with the nearby Dublin store only a few minutes away to get any forgotten items. The store is also a jerky lovers dream.

Last minute ski weekend

Property was exactly what we needed for our last minute ski trip to Caberfae. The mountain was only a 15-20 minute drive from the location. Being able to bring out dog was a bonus. Communication was easy. We even considered skiing Sunday morning before heading back and asked for a late check out so the dog had a place to be warm before we left. Our host had zero issues with this, even though we changed our minds in the morning. Great experience, would definitely book again.

Vacation 2023

We had a great Vacation at this home. They had everything we needed except food which is normal. The beach is across the street, about a 2 minute walk from the house. They even had firewood in the shed, which we didn’t realize until we bought our own cuz we didn’t think to check first LOL! We left our leftover firewood for the next guests and a couple things in the fridge and cupboards :)

Winter getaway

The house was great for our needs. Very clean and neat. Simple but well-appointed. We came in the winter so didn’t use many of the provided supplies but looks like it would be great for summer too. Nice storage for gear which was great. My only complaint was that the walk and entry weren’t cleared of approximately 8” of snow so initial entry into the home was challenging. We shoveled off the porch and stairs ourselves and it was great after that. We would love to stay again.
