Our condo is located in the sunny Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii. It's not nicknamed the Gold Coast by coincidence. It is the sunniest part of the island with the least amount of rainfall. The Waikoloa Beach Resort is 25 miles from Kona and 18 miles north of the airport. You will be minutes away from some of the world's best rated beaches. Hapuna, Mauna Kea and many many others.

You will have everything you need in our fully equipped 2 bedroom / 2 bath condo for your vacation. BBQ and relax on our lanai with dinner and drinks. Master bedroom has a NEW king bed and on suite master bath. Guest bedroom has 2 full size beds and a NEWLY remodeled guest bathroom with a walk-in shower next to it. There is beach gear, everything you need to make a gourmet dinner/bbq and beautiful unique island decor throughout. Waikoloa Beach Villas is a perfect location and walking distance to the Queen's and Kings' Shops and the famous A-Bay Beach. You are a short walk to the two swimming pools, two hot tubs and fitness center, and A-Bay Beach is a short 15-minute walk for an amazing time snorkeling, swimming and watching a beautiful sunset. Unit also includes FREE WIFI and PARKING. Waikoloa Beach Villas POOLS are now HEATED!! 5/2024 UPDATE - NEW AC INSTALLED.

Home away from home

This condo is in a great location in a beautiful resort. It is very well cared-for and was very much a home away from home. We enjoyed our stay immensely and highly recommend it for couples or families who want to stay in Waikoloa Resort.

The beaches in Waikola are beautiful! You couldn’t ask for a more beautifully decorated unit that is very homey and comfortable to stay in. Everything you need is here including beach chairs, noodles, and umbrellas.

Welcoming upon entry! Nicely decorated villa, great location across from Kings and Queen Shops. Gourmet market and Starbies a very short walk! Very quiet complex. Garage was complete with chairs and umbrellas, boogie boards, ice chest for the beach. Being its on the 3rd floor there is an elevator. Kitchen is very well stocked with everything you would need to cook. Grill on the lanai is a plus also! Michelle was very quick to answer any questions we had throughout the stay. Much needed get away.

Beautiful well appointed condo with everything you need!

The Condo was up on the 3rd floor so we got great exercise going up and down (no elevators) but the 3rd floor had nice views over the property from the lanai. We used the great gas BBQ that was on the lanai a few times and ate out there as well, which was wonderful :). The bed was comfortable as were the pillows so we slept well and the bathroom was spacious, clean and had all the basics for our needs! The location was great as well and we could walk to many places including 2 different beautiful beaches, a few restaurants and some shopping. There was one short hiking trail too, right behind the complex that took us over the "Kings Highway" over old lava flow. The pool was lovely and there was a hot tub too but we did not use it as other people were using it at the time. We would totally stay here again! Really a beautiful condo!

Convenient to shops and restaurant. Nice to have both third floor with our friends. Nice to have all the amenities both inside the house and in the garage. Nice to have a garage to park our car. Michelle was great to work out any issues that we had during our stay. A few constructive feedback: the elevator was a little scary and made strange noises that made us uncomfortable to use. We did miss having music at the pool. We were asked to turn off the music when no one was there, even though we were playing soft music. Overall a very nice place to stay but we wish it was closer to the beach. We are use to Resort stay and missed having easy access to the beach.

Great location and nicely upgraded

Overall we had a great stay. Right next to the Queens and Kings (literally across the street). Nice surprise was the elevator up to the 3rd floor. Very helpful after twisting my ankle pretty badly while hiking. The master bed was comfortable and the apartment overall is very nicely upgraded. 1 unwanted surprise was the thermostat is restricted to a low of 72 degrees. We are used to a much cooler nighttime bedroom temperature. If i had known up front I would have brought a mini fan. The pillows are a little flat for a big guy like me, but I just combined some from the guest room and all was well.

Updates are needed

Air conditioner wasn't working for 1st few days. Street noise is pretty loud if you have to leave windows open. Ran out of dishwasher pods and laundry soap. Property grounds are really nice. We used one of the pools and had no complaints. Wished there was a walking gate at our end. Was not easy to walk all the way down to the one exit and then go across the street. Condo did have a ton of things for us to use. The king bed really needs and upgrade as well as the pillows. The size of the unit was perfect though. Basically we were satisfied, just thought some of the furniture was getting tired.

Good and bad

I've rented many VRBO properties in Hawaii and Europe, so I've had some experience in what to expect. The beds and the cleanliness were excellent. The location was fine--a top floor, corner unit close to the beach and two shopping areas with restaurants. The view from the lanai is less than ideal but I've rented several times in that area and knew that a parking lot and gas station were the most prominent features you'd see. Still, it's shaded from both morning and afternoon sun which can be bothersome depending on what time of year you're there. Within 10 minutes of checking in, we noticed the poll controlling the blinds in one bedroom was broken off. I reported it immediately and was told a handyman would be there to fix it the next day. That never happened. We had another problem with the hot water--it died before the last day and would not be fixed until after we left. Things happen but spending a day without hot water when a shower before a 6-hour flight would have been nice is bothersome. An offer of a refund for the day would have been nice since it couldn't be fixed till after we left. But that didn't happen either. The furnishings were okay. The living room had two sofas--one was great and one was not and never used. I thought the heavy high, wooden chairs on the lanai were uncomfortable but my companion liked them. Just know that if you like to have your feet on the ground, that won't happen on the lanai or dining room--high table and chairs there, too. The unit had plenty of supplies. The building was quiet. Parking never a problem. I've been in this complex before and it's nice to have 2 pools to choose from. The onsite manager seemed to always be making rounds and checking on the property. One last thing, the front door has a keypad. I wish every VBRO unit used one. It's much nicer than dealing with a key and it works great.

I was hoping the pic was correct and it was! Both of us were happy as the wife loved the bathtub shower option and well I like my own bbq on the patio WE WILL DEFINITELY COME BACK 💯🤙🏾

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed in the Waikoloa Beach area multiple times in the past, but this was our first time at the Waikoloa Beach Villas. To be fair, the complex is not on the beach, but is a 10-12 minute walk away. Check-in / check-out were seamlessly easy via the management company's mobile app. The unit and garage space were very well equipped for all of our vacation needs. For full disclosure, I would like to point out a few minor issues/observations during our stay: 1) after our first night in the unit, we were awoken to the sweet sounds of chainsaws at 5:30am across the way at the King's Shops as work crews were trimming trees in the area (I guess it makes sense, given how hot/humid it gets during the day, so maintenance creaws have to get their jobs done before then. And, if you walk through the WB complex, you'll notice it takes an 'army' to maintain the vision of 'manufactured Hawaii' all around you), 2) the bed in the master bedroom was big, but severely sagging on each side (think inverted 'V'). The severity of the sag on either side was quite comical, but navigable. And 3) there is no door to separate the master bathroom from the master bedroom. So, if your partner uses the bathroom in the middle of the night (separate water closet with a door), then goes to wash their hands, unless they have night vision, they will need to turn on the bathroom light, flooding the bedroom with light in the process. Again, these were very minor issues that did not diminish our stay one bit. If we were to visit the Big Island, we would not hesitate to ask for this unit/complex again.

A Good Overall Experience.

The property manager Michelle was wonderful, very responsive, very professional, for her, a 5 - star rating. All of the mattresses definitely required an update. And there were still trash in the trash bin in the master bathroom under the sink by the door which the cleaning staff might have forgotten to take out. The property is a bit far from the places we wanted to check out but that is my fault for not doing enough research before booking.
