Guestbook comments from the owner

This house was perfect for a New Years weekend with friends! We had one three-year-old who was in heaven with all of the toys in the downstairs playroom (along with six 30 year old men who had a ping pong tournament that lasted a whole day). The rooms are a good size and the whole place was clean and easy to use. Daniel was a great host- he was easy to get in touch with before and during our stay and even sent restaurant recommendations and information about nearby grocery stores, etc. Altogether this was a wonderful experience!

Plenty of space and things to do with a great view too

  • 5 of 5

Meet some long time friends from across the country for a weekend of fun and relaxation. The open floor plan, dinning and living room areas are highly conducive for spending time together and provide a beautiful view of the lake. Outside their is a small private beach and a brand new boat house that we enjoyed jumping off into the water. At night you can play pool, ping pong or air hockey in the basement. We never had to leave and we we're never bored. The host very helpful and promptly responded to all queries.

Everything was awesome!!

  • 5 of 5

My family planned a 5 day vacation for spring break. Daniel answered every question we had from booking to check in. He was very responsive even on the day of arrival he answered any question I had within minutes. Upon arrival at the home my family loved it. From grandparents to grandchildren, everyone had a blast. No one was ready to leave. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out but also room for everyone to gather together. We loved having our meals together at the large kitchen table.

Everyone wants to return to the lake and this will be our first choice.

Thanks Daniel for opening your home and allowing us to have our most memorable family vacation.

Beautiful property with lots of great amenities

  • 4 of 5

Great waterfront with a huge sand- covered beach area. Kitchen mostly well- stocked with the exception of large frying pan. Mattresses were too soft for most of our group. Plenty of games (indoor and outdoor)and books to entertain wide range of ages. We had large family gathering. Would recommend.

Owner's Response: I'm so glad you all had a good time!! We do have three sizes of non-stick skillets at the house, but don't have an oversized one because most families prefer to use the large electric griddle. Maybe you didn't see it on a shelf in the pantry? It will cook about a pound of bacon at a time and has a drip tray so much less mess than using a huge skillet!

Amazing property right on the water!

  • 5 of 5

This house is incredible! Right on the water, amazing views and a gorgeous house. We had 8 couples come here for a fun couples weekend and we had such a great time. There is a great winery about 15 minutes away and plenty nearby for whatever you need. We had a great time playing pool and ping pong and the back deck is fantastic. Can't recommend this place enough!

New Years' Weekend at the Lake

  • 4 of 5

Our children and their families enjoyed a fun weekend together. The house flowed very well with room for the children to play and room for the adults to visit. The kitchen was large enough for several "cooks" to work together. The dishwasher's upper shelf was broken, but still functional and the corner molding on the end of the counter was loose. The dining table seated all of us very comfortably.

It was an off season weekend, December 29th through January 1st, and temperatures were below freezing. Although we paid for linens, some of the towels smelled moldy and blankets were not available. We were never able to get the house to feel warm, so most of us were cold the entire time.

Late at night, a full moon shone through the upper window of the vaulted living room. And the lake views were lovely. We would enjoy a summer stay when the outside amenities could better be enjoyed and the weather would be warmer.

Owner's Response: Thanks again Tony for choosing my home to celebrate Christmas with your family. Linens were laundered the day of your arrival so I'm not sure why any would have smelled moldy but I'm sorry about that! As for the temperatures, yes we definitely aren't used to lows of 11-13 degrees like they were that weekend!! Since we now have so many offseason renters, I am making plans to address that issue. I'm going to order electric fireplaces to put in the downstairs bedrooms which, based on their heat rating, would be capable of hearing the entire level on their own even without the regular central heat in the house. It normally isn't an issue, but I have noticed that the heat pump has some struggles keeping the lower level at 70 degrees when overnight lows drop down into the teens so hopefully that will help.
