The ad clearly states coin laundry is across the road. Unfortunately the guest did not bother read the ad. There were only two guests there for four days...-nobody has ever asked to change towels every day- this is not the same thing as staying in a hotel. I have been running properties for 15 years and this is the first complaint I have ever heard about this. There was a full set of forks...it seems that the guests did not look in the right place for them.. and never bothered to contact me. The knives were fine. As far as someone smoking in the next unit- why not contact me, and I would contact the owner of the other unit to alert them about their guest and it would have been rectified. Communication is key!

This was an elderly couple who unfortunately had some problems, health (physical and otherwise) and could not stop writing to me. The wife, in fact, had a problem before she arrived, and tried to negotiate the price down even though I charge half of what my neigbours do!Unfortunately, I would not accept them back again and have warned my neighbours about them. On the first day, she complained about a lightbulb that was out, on the second day she complained about a lack of cutting board, then on the third day, other minor items. I told her that I would be happy if she could go buy them and and I would reimburse her, which she did. On the fourth day she complained about the cleaning- after she had been there four days! I told her I would send my cleaner, and she said it was okay, never mind. On the fifth day she complained about the bed- and said it was old. I can confirm that there was no dent in the middle, as the bed was brand new and I showed her the receipt, and I personally stayed in the unit three weeks before and everything was great! Since they only complained about the bed in the fourth night, they must have broken something in the frame. I offered to send a new frame, but they said it was okay, never mind. Obviously had these been real issues, they would have accepted a cleaner, and a new frame! I think they were just very gumpy and negative people and liked to complain ! I asked my cleaner to rectify the frame the guest broke after she left, which the cleaner did. There were also other guests who stayed before them and after them and who had no issues! I must say though, in fairness to my other great guests, about 90 percent of my guests are indeed great, and often my guests return every year, although from time-to-time I do get guests, who just like to be negative, like these guests. Unfortunately the AC went all of a sudden which was out of my control.There was a part that needed to be ordered so it could not be fixed immediately.The tenant was given a full refund . .There were also back up ACs there and ceiling fans so it should not have been an issue if they were well. The ceiling fans worked fine and all the tenant needed to do was turn on the light switch that controlled them..There was toilet paper and paper towels as always so that was not true.. My neighbors reported they appeared elderly and perhaps quite unwell so I believe they should have been staying in a hotel to begin with. It is interesting to note that the next tenants did arrive a few days later a nice young couple who had a young child and they told me that they would prefer that I not send the ac guy down with the part as they thought the unit was fine without the AC and cool just fine with the ceiling fans. They gave the unit a high rating.

I am really surprised to hear about the cleaning comment...as the place was thoroughly cleaned before the guest arrived and he stayed for a month! Had I known there was a concern, I would have sent the cleaner back. However, I never heard from the guest the whole time he was there, and for some reason all he mentioned was the cleaning. Glad he liked the location and gave my unit 4 out of 5 stars. Thanks! :-)

This is a surprising review, as I checked with Karen during her stay and she reported everything was great! Unfortunately , there were some problems with this guest, and true to her name, she turned out to be a real "Karen." :-) She broke one of my portable acs- I did not charge her for it. I do stay in my unit four times a year, and the bed is fine, however, she had a bad back- hence her problem with the mattress; to avoid this situation in the future if there are other guests with bad backs, I decided to add foam toppers to the bed after she left. The fridge is only two years old, and is fine, so it appears she did not know how to regulate it, as none of the guests after her had this issue! She knew that the couches were covered due to a previous guests damage-and she also knew that it was illegal to sleep in the living room due to Florida's new fire regulations, but she did it anyway! Not cool-overall I rated this guest 1/5. Regarding the cleaning- if this was indeed the case, this could have been easily resolved,by a simple email to me alerting me to this, and I would have sent the cleaner back to reclean while she was there-however, nothing was said to me! After she left, all my reviews have been 5/5 so perhaps that tells you something ! So, please consider the other reviews... Monica

The previous tenant who was there told me there was a small drip, when you flushed and I didn't need to send a plumber. Wendy never told me the leak was bad, nor indicated a plumber was needed and in fact when I did send a plumber after she left, there was no water "pooling" around your feet- it was very minor the plumber told me and only had a small drip on an -occa - sional basis when you flush.. Further the tenant stayed 5 out of her 7 days , so how bad could it have been and then wanted to stay at a high end hotel down the road, and asked me to refund four nights stay when she only missed two days,or she will post a bad review? My other 5/5 reviews will speak for themselves.

Unfortunately this couple had all kinds of allergies including asthma, dust, feathers, and staying by the water is generally not a good idea with any kind of severe allergies or illness such as asthma. Some people prefer fresh air since it is right by the water, rather than the AC and that is probably why other units had windows open. The deck to the right has four tables on it with umbrellas and is huge-so it seems that the tenant was looking at the second deck on the left, and did not turn right when leaving the unit.
