Great house, very nice, love the back porch to sit and relax on. Quiet neighborhood as well. Owner so nice and helpful. Easy to get to freeways and shopping. Close to the canyons. Would like to stay next year when we go back. Best place to date.

We only stayed here one night

  • 1 of 5

Now take this review for what it is worth. This was our experience but it may be fine for others, but not us. We are a family of four, 11month old son, 5yr old daughter, my wife and I.

First, there is no AC. A swamp cooler does not count as an AC by any stretch of the imagination. We happened to be staying during a hot stretch. It was 100 degrees when we got into the house. When you have a child with a medical condition, the heat is not your friend. The house is not infant/toddler friendly, so that was a bummer.

They provide the absolute bare minimum in towels/linens. We are a family of four, but they gave us two wash clothes, two towels, and two hand towels. No extra linens. Doing laundry on vacation is not our idea of a vacation. Oh and if you do laundry you cannot leave the house (per the owner) because washer tends to jump out of the closet apparently. So that was awesome. Everything provided was the cheapest quality. You know how most owners provide you with a binder of instructions and such? Yea, not here. Instructions on what to do when leaving? yea not here. Giving a nice experience is basically an afterthought.

In the end, we couldn't stay there for more than one night. I spent all night looking at other HomeAway properties and finally found one that we moved into the very next day. So I basically had to eat the cost of week at this place for nothing. Now if you are a group of adults during the winter, this place is probably awesome. But not for a family during the summer. We stay in HomeAway properties all the time, and this was hands down the worst experience we have ever had.

Beautiful home, and very comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

My family and a couple friends rented this home while we were in town for a business convention. The home was perfect, and the back deck made it a great spot to sit and relax after a long day. The drive to the Salt Palace was not too bad either, about 20 minutes. The owner is very responsive, and answered my emails pretty quick (usually within an hour). I highly recommend this property, and we will be renting again if we go back to SLC! Thank you for the use of your home!

Very nice, comfortable home

  • 4 of 5

Great property in a nice neighborhood. Close to shopping, restaurants and hiking. There is a beautiful waterfall just 6 miles away. layout of the home works great for relaxing and visiting.

My only reason for 4 stars is it took quite a while to receive my credit for the $400 security deposit. I had to send a couple of emails to get the process started.

What you see is what you get, but....

  • 3 of 5

We stayed at this vacation rental for a few days in late December 2016.

The location info provided on vrbo site is accurate.

It's in a 1970s middle class neighbourhood, houses are

generally well-maintained.

This particular property was renovated somewhat recently. The kitchen

and living room areas are pretty up-to-date and cozy.

The kitchen is pretty basic in terms of utensils available, it misses basics

like a beer bottle opener and a corkscrew. Don't expect a gourmet kitchen.

The cable tv is pretty basic, only a few channels were available.

The master bathroom is surprisingly small, no bathtub, just shower,

it's closer in size to a half bathroom.

We arrived right after a snowstorm, the driveway was cleared of snow

but the access from the street to the driveway was not adequately cleared,

the clearance was not wide enough to drive a car through it, so I had to

shovel snow to widen it.

The owner was late in providing both property access info and refund my deposit

after my stay, in both cases I had to prompt him to take appropriate action.

About 3-4 weeks prior to my arrival date I was asked to pay the balance of the

amount due for my stay, I indicated that I was ready to pay but I also mentioned

that I'll need to leave two days early and asked the owner to adjust the

remaining balance accordingly. They asked me to pay the full balance and

indicated they were open to work something out with me in case we leave early.

I did pay the full balance, left two days early, asked them to consider

reimbursing me for the two days, but they ignored my request.

I also offered to share my experience with them privately but they

did not seem interested.

I'd suggest you make sure your schedule is firm before

finalizing the reservation.
