We loved our stay. We also loved that the top of the steps had built in baby gate so our wild 2 year old couldn’t get down freely which was nice lol. The only recommendation i could think of would be adding a few cleaning supplies or vacuum. I felt bad for all the crumb trails the broom may have left LOL
This is such a quaint spot in the heart of Massanutten. The host was great to work with and was very responsive. The property backs up to quiet woods and we enjoyed the many amenities. I am looking forward to our next stay!
We had a lovely getaway . It was so beautiful and peaceful . We enjoyed reading books on the deck and watching deer come up on the yard . Close enough to a larger town that had plenty to do . We shopped and ate and enjoyed visiting with the locals . We will definitely be back !
We selected this cabin to help our son and his Appalachian Trail friends slack pack parts of the Shenandoah National Park (SNP) section. It had everything we needed and the AT through hikers enjoyed having a house that felt like a home to rest in after 90 on the trail. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and pans so we could cook them a meal most nights with ease. Erin was quick to respond to any questions and made sure we had everything we needed. This was not a reflection on the place, but rather poor planning on my part. The house is 15 minutes from the entrance to SNP but as the hikers got further up the trail, it was an hour drive to get to them. If you are using this place for access to the park, be aware of how large SNP is and plan accordingly to get to places of interest. Despite the drive, I would stay here again to explore more of the area.
