Relax in this peaceful, well-stocked cabin near the Deschutes River.
Our well-equipped and well-maintained cabin sleeps 6-8, with three bedrooms, one of them a loft with bunkbeds. It combines log furniture and craftsman touches with the convenience of modern essentials such as Wifi, flatscreen TV, DVDs, and cable TV. Eight free SHARC and recreation passes are provided.
The cabin is located in the quieter northern end of Sunriver. You'll be near the river and bike paths, in a large and peaceful forested lot, but with easy access to pools, golf and shopping.
The cabin has one bedroom with queen bed is on the ground floor, next to a large bathroom. The master bedroom is upstairs with queen bed and newly-renovated bathroom with a gorgeous tile shower.
The loft closes with a screen door and has log bunkbeds that are perfect for children. There is an additional double futon mattress and a sofa-bed in the living room. The cabin ideally sleeps 6, but if you have small children 8 works well (4 adults + 4 children).
The vaulted living room is full of light from the roof-to-floor windows, offering views of the pine trees surrounding the cabin. The living room is overlooked by a log balcony upstairs, and contains two couches, reclining armchair, gas fire, flat-screen TV and DVD player. There are log cabin touches throughout.
The large and newly-installed deck offers peaceful seating, dining, and a gas BBQ.
The cabin is cozy enough for a couple, but works well for two families. We thoughtfully provide what you need for a perfect vacation, from a well-stocked kitchen to games cupboard and hiking/biking books.
The cabin has 6 adult bikes and 2 children' bikes you can use to ride around the pathways in Sunriver, including the trails in the Deschutes National Forest over the nearby bridge.
The Deschutes River is a very short walk away, with lovely views from the bridge at Cardinal Landing. (By the way, the Google map isn't quite accurate - the cabin is nearer to the Abbot Drive end of Whistling Swan Lane). It's just a short bike ride to the nature center, observatory, Marina, and horse stables. Within a mile you will also find Woodlands golf course. The North Marketplace store is within easy distance, and SHARC aquatic center is 1 3/4 miles away. The SHARC passes give you access to the pools and tubing hill, all tennis facilities, and the parking lot & boat launch at Sunriver Marina.
Take advantage of the cabin's location near a natural boat take-out on the Deschutes River. You can hire different craft at the Marina, or put your own boat in the river at the Marina (or further up-river) and bring it out close to the cabin at Cardinal Landing bridge. You don't have to worry about transport to bring your boat back upstream!
When it snows, remember you can cross-country ski from the cabin door onto nearby forest trails across the bridge at Cardinal Landing, or around the resort. Skiing at Mount Bachelor is a firm winter favorite.

Jon and Katy live in Eugene, Oregon with our two children. We have owned the cabin since 2008, and have enjoyed using it summer and winter for family vacations and outdoor activities. This is the first year we are renting it out to the public. We hope you enjoy your stay. PS. You will find some British DVD's in the cabin, because we were from England originally!

Once again, a great place to stay in Sunriver
This was our second stay at this cabin. Again, everything was perfect for our purposes. The kitchen is nicely equipped. Unlike some rentals, there is a huge dining room table for groups. And the bed rooms are nicely stocked with lots of extra towels and sheets and have decent bedding. The cabin was well cleaned and in good order when we arrived. For those not familiar with Sunriver, this is a nice location right next to the foot bridge that leads across the river to trails. All of Sunriver is pretty much the same so don't stress about finding the perfect street or location unless you feel the need to be across the street from the pool or shopping complex. We don't. So this cabin suits us just fine.
Perfect place for our family!
This cabin is very clean, well furnished, and wonderfully located. We loved our stay!
Clean and bright. Nicely equipped with cooking items and cushy towels.
Would stay here again!
Clean and comfortable- A nice place to stay!
Well stocked with the essentials! Even extra toothbrushes in the bathroom for “just in case”. Nice touch! Do take spices with you for cooking. The mattress in the down stairs bedroom needs to be replaced - Ouch!
Please don't bring any spices - there are SO many in the kitchen corner cupboard! I haven't had any complaints about the bed so far, but I'm happy to consider an upgrade.
This house is in a quiet location of Sunriver. Near the river, great access to the bike paths. The bikes provided all worked. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. The house is very clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed! Thanks!
The place is great and as advertised, the pictures are accurate.
The property and house and located in a quiet section of Sunriver and near the river. The kitchen was loaded with many essential items plus the bikes and SHARC passes make this place excellent!
Sunriver is a perfect for family vacations, with an average of 300 days of sun a year and 33 miles of paved pathways for biking and walking. Sunriver offers the SHARC aquatic facility with pools, waterslides and a tubing hill, golf, tennis, horse-riding, rafting and fishing, cross-country ski-ing, a nature center and observatory, restaurants and village amenities. Mt Bachelor ski area is a 40 minute drive away and provides excellent winter ski-ing. The Cascade area around Sunriver boasts plenty of hiking, biking, and boating opportunities.
