Welcome to Beaver's cabin at the House of Beaver. Nestled one block off Main Street in Talkeetna, this historic log cabin is a convenient and cozy retreat for guests looking to enjoy all downtown has to offer. We are within walking distance to the confluence of the Susitna, Talkeetna and Chulitna Rivers for a spectacular view of Denali as well as all the restaurants and boutique shops in town. With 1 queen bed and 3 twin beds this cabin is the perfect space for a small group. The kitchen is fully furnished with dishware, cookware, a Keurig, microwave, toaster, four-burner stove and full size refrigerator for guest use. Coffee and teas are provided. The quaint living room is the perfect spot to gather the family, visit, play a game or have a beverage. The bathroom has a shower with soap, shampoo, conditioner and linens provided. Beaver's gives your family an authentic Alaskan cabin experience. Kickback, relax and enjoy all that is Talkeetna!

The location of the cabin cannot be beat. It is within walking distance of food, shopping and many activities. The cabin is historic, but definitely needed to be cleaner. The floors were dirty with bits of food in the rooms, the shower curtain was moldy and smelled like mildew. Other than that, the check-in and check-out process was easy, the beds were comfortable, and the location was within walking distance to just about everything.

This place was fantastic! Spotlessly clean, right smack in the middle of Talkeetna, one of the cabins with a lot of history and personality but also has everything you need. The original cabin has been added onto sometime recently for extra room. Very comfortable. Even has high quality all-cotton sheets! Could not have been happier. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at the Beaver cabin. I would suggest that the owners put curtains in the back bedroom. With the sun going down so late it was difficult to sleep. It was cute, solid, quiet. We enjoyed all the games in the family room. Also, the Wi-Fi was not reliable, except standing at the back door. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Kitchen was a bit deficient if you’re planning on cooking. The location was totally 5 star. Rustic cabin it is as advertised. Our group loves that type of home though so we fit right in. Had a minor issue late in the day, which the host very quickly resolved for us. Much appreciated that.

Super cute and rustic cabin - well equipped and walking distance to town. Exactly as described. Second bedroom has three twin beds, so it’s perfect for a family of up to 5. Nice selection of games. We appreciated the coffee and tea provided and ready to brew!

Beaver's cabin was built by my grandfather in 1950 and is where my mom grew up as a young girl. We have a second cabin built by my grandfather's friend in 1928 which we also rent out. We love sharing these cabins and all the history of Talkeetna.
