Overview

About the property

Town House W/ 2 Queen Beds, 2 Queen Sofas & 2 Baths Across From The Yellowstone

Our vacation getaway is located in the historic little town of Emigrant, MT. People from all over the world come to paradise valley to enjoy world-class fly fishing and easy access to Yellowstone national park (30 miles). Paradise valley is nestled in the Gallatin national forest surrounded by spectacular mountain views of the absaroka mountain range. To the east, majestic emigrant peak dominates the view at 10,921 feet. Emigrant is a quiet country town with a hospitable western atmosphere! Conveniently located within walking distance there is a bank, post office, bakery, general store, gas station, fly shop, gift shop & ice cream emporium. There are numerous public fishing access sites for the Yellowstone river, national forest access sites and Dailey lake which are all only a short distance away throughout paradise valley. When you arrive at the townhouse, you will have access to free wi-fi. Please contact us, prior to your arrival so that we can answer any question you may have about Yellowstone National Park and the surrounding area. we are minutes away from Chico Hot Springs Resort and day spa where you can enjoy the hot springs pools and 3 restaurants (fine dining, saloon & pool side grill). Also available at Chico: live music every fri. & sat. Night, a variety of horse back riding options, white water rafting & dog sled treks in the winter.

Just a short drive north on 89, you will find Livingston, MT. Featuring gourmet restaurants, museums, community theaters, a movie theater, art galleries (summer art walks) and uniquely western shops.

The north entrance to YNP is located 30 miles south on 89 in the town of Gardiner. Gardiner is shadowed by the oldest and most historic entrance into YNP through the Roosevelt arch. In our opinion, YNP is one of the most spectacular and scenic places on earth. This historic town is home to a variety of restaurants, gift shops, two gas stations, a grocery store and adventure based companies. The north entrance is the only entrance open to the park year round. This is a great little town to simply walk around and explore!

At the townhouse you can relax at the end of the day on the upper deck or lower patio, watching the sun work its magic on the face of Emigrant Peak. While there are numerous activities available to you, you can also simply relax and enjoy your picturesque surroundings. The townhouse was built in 2003 and is approximately 1200 sq ft. Amenities are:

*air-conditioning (master bedroom ONLY)

*free wifi

*fully equipped kitchen

*living room, with 2 queen size sleeper sofas, flat screen tv w/ direct tv and blu ray/dvd player

* large assortment of movies

*washer and dryer

*2 full bathrooms, 1 downstairs and 1 upstairs.

*2 bedrooms--master bedroom has 1 queen bed, a full bathroom and a sliding glass door to the deck! Second bedroom has one queen bed, TV w/ direct TV and VCR.

Excellent Stay Excellent Location and Excellent Hosts

  • 5 of 5

Dear Ken, Debbie & Tyler

Thank you so much for our very comfortable stay at one of the best appointed places we have stayed at through Homeaway/VRBO.

You have thought of everything to make visitors feel they are at home and we really appreciated all the niceties. We stayed through Jan/February when temperatures were down to -15 Celsius and we were always comfortable inside.

The place is spotlessly clean and very spacious. It is very handy to Gardiner, Yellowstone NP and Livingston and yet far enough away so we were able to soak up the peace of the beautiful rural Paradise Valley and meet some of the very friendly locals.

Definitely recommend this stay for lovers of outdoor activities especially nature and landscape photography, fishing and hiking. We almost managed to hike up Emigrant Peak, but heavy ice pack halted us about two thirds of the way up, which only means we will have to return to KDT Ranch in the summer to try again : )

All the best.

Yours sincerely

Lorraine and Mark

Very comfortable place to come home to after hours of hiking in Yellowstone.

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our family of six. Great location right off the 89 with a general store right across the road and two miles away from Chico Hot Springs. It is a beautiful drive through Paradise Valley to Yellowstone and the home itself has a beautiful view of the mountains. There are two bedrooms upstairs with one bathroom and ample closet space. There are two sofa beds downstairs and the converted garage downstairs gave us plenty of room to store all of our backpacking gear. Very clean home, we are looking forward to coming back .

Unseasonably Warm Outside But Condo Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Our party of six rented this condo for five nights. Although it was located about thirty miles from the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park, the drive down Highway 89 along the Yellowstone River and through Yankee Jim Canyon and Gardiner was beautiful and entertaining. Scenery was spectacular, and we saw lots of animals along the way. The condo was comfortable. The enclosed garage area was a bonus for our two grandsons. The kitchen was well equipped and up-to-date. There were more towels and linens than anyone would need because a commercial grade washer and dryer were provided. We were unable to use the outside grill because of windy conditions. There weren't many television channels, but who comes to this area to watch tv anyway? Internet service was good. Beds were very firm. Master bedroom had a floor-type air conditioner...it was noisy because it kicked on and off but we just cooled the bedroom before bedtime and used the fans that were provided the rest of the time. We didn't need to fold out the sleeper sofas in the downstairs living room. We just used sheets and sleeping bags on the sofas. We loved the little town of Emigrant. We have rented through VRBO several times and have always been satisfied with our rental.

Owner's Response: Thank you for choosing our vacation home for your stay in Paradise Valley. We have been having some hot weather on and off but we are glad you and your party were comfortable. While it can get hot during the day, the nights normally cool off and are very comfortable for sleeping. Sorry you were unable to use the grill; as much as we get some hot days, we also get some windy days. Enjoy the rest of your summer and please feel free to contact us in the future should you decide to visit YNP again.

KT Ranch Townhouse, Your home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

We enoyed our stay at KT Ranch Townhouse. The owners go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Everything you need is at your disposal, even a dozen fresh eggs! The view is awesome and loved all of the variety of birds that devoured the seeds provided by the neighbor. After a full day in Yellowstone, it's a great place to come home to. I don't know if we'll come your way again, but if we do, we'll check for availability!

Convenient location, spacious condo

  • 4 of 5

We found this condo to be clean and spacious and well located about halfway between Livingston and Yellowstone Park. The sofas are a bit worn and the kitchen is stocked with functional cooking and dining supplies. We paid a little extra to get more channels on the satellite TV. The AC in the master bedroom worked well on several warm September days. There was some road noise from Hwy 89 if the windows were open. Food and drink are nearby at the Wildflour Bakery/BBQ, at the Livery, and wonderful Chico Hot Springs. This condo is a good value in a beautiful part of Montana, and the owners were responsive to our questions and requests.

30 minutes from Yellowstone

  • 4 of 5

We were two couples that stayed in Debbie and Tyler's vacation rental while exploring Yellowstone. The house is part of a row of attached homes in a quiet neighbourhood. Once in the house it feels very private and the view from the back windows and patio is lovely.

The house was very clean and had everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

Both bedrooms are upstairs, the master bedroom is an ensuite with an air conditioning. The second bedroom was warm, but cooled off in the evening with the window open. The second bedroom bathroom is downstairs.

Debbie was very welcoming and a pleasure to meet. She brought us some farm fresh eggs which were wonderful.
