About Stephanie Challender
We grew up downstate near Lansing, but have spent many weekends and vacations in Grayling at the parents place nearby. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter there is always something that we love to do up there!
Stephanie Challender purchased this House in 2017
Why Stephanie Challender chose Grayling
The property is close to the lake, but far enough off to not be overcrowded. There is a nice size backyard for outdoor games and fires. It is also adjacent to a large wooded area that is absolutely gorgeous to sit on the deck and look out over. Its at the top of the hill, so the deck looks down and over the ravine. Lots of deer, two foxes, and other various creatures are seen in there regularly.
What makes this House unique
We like the seclusion of being on the private road, but a quick walk to the lake and a very quick ride to the snowmobile trails, ORV trails, and everything else to do in the area. Located just outside of town, it is close enough to Grayling to do everything you want to!

Already talking about coming back next year.
Very nice place. Has a lot of room to spread out.
Winter: Snowmobile from the front door to the trails! Or located just a short ride from the trailhead. Hansen Hills skiing and snow tubing located nearby, many Friday nights are just $2 rentals and ski tickets. Ice fishing brings in 20"+ walleye, panfish, and is considered one of the best bluegill fishing lakes in northern Michigan.
Summer: Summer is meant to be enjoyed by the water! Located 2 blocks from the lake (short walk), with road-end access. Close enough to the lake to enjoy it, but still secluded enough to have a nice campfire and family cookout. Boat launch is a short drive away. Two rivers (one in each direction) go through Grayling, both offer excellent canoeing/kayaking experiences. Great fishing in both the lake and the rivers. ATV trailhead located close by, great trails all around.
1.2 miles from boat launch
2.5 miles to trailhead (or through the neighborhood to nearby trail) for snowmobilers. ORV's must use trailhead as the connecting trails are not ORV friendly.
5 miles to downtown Grayling with restaurants, breweries, shopping, movie theater, canoe/kayak shops (AuSable River launch point), etc.
2.9 miles to Manistee River launch point.
