Fantastic house, fantastic location, great for groups

Our group of 16 had an incredible time at the Massanutten cabin. There were plenty of beds for all of us, everything was clean and in good shape, and the fireplaces, deck, grill, and especially hot tub were all great amenities. The location is fantastic, we went for a hike to watch the sunset on Saturday afternoon and the views were spectacular. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to get away!

We really enjoyed our time here. We enjoyed the furnishings and surroundings, including seeing 7 to 10 deer at the nearby small lake. Fun things to do with family are a very short drive within the resort from this location - mini golf, go karts, snow tubing. We really liked having the board games available that are kept there by the owner. Great stay!

We had a great time. There were beds for everyone. Everything we needed worked. We fit 2 cars in the driveway and 3 cars off the street.

Our family trip

Our trip was very nice We had a good time the location was perfect. Our only problems were the parking was dangerous and insufficient and there were not enough towels and washcloths even after we requested more , we had to keep on rewashiing the same ones over and over to have enough.

Great Getaway Minutes from JMU

We rented this cabin as six couples celebrating Homecoming at JMU. It was the perfect location, lots of seating, and we each had our own room. All in all it was a nice, cozy place to stay. The driveway is very steep, we all had four wheel drive, so it wasn't an issue, but I can see it being hard to park in the winter without four wheel drive.

Great vacation home for big group

This home was perfect for our large group. The host was in a difficult personal situation, but set up the correct avenues so that we were helped in any situation. The house was in a great location such that we could access the Shenandoah easily and also get groceries and go to a movie theater. Would love to come back!

Great Place! Owner Elliot was👍 Had a wonderful time! Plenty of room!!

Just want to say we had a blast, 14 adults and 5 kids and everyone could move and be in their own space!! Double kitchens were a bonus!! The property is gorgeous with a bubbly brook at the bottom you could hear and peaceful view!! Owner Elliot communicated Well and very welcoming! He was a big help!

Family Fun!

We wanted a home where my large family would all be comfortable and this was perfect! From the water park, which I thought would just be for my grandkids, to the tubing hill and skiing! Everyone had a blast! The house gave us ample room to all have our space and eat our meals together as a family! Perfect weekend! The owner was quick to respond to any questions. Reunion get-together

I rented this house for a brothers reunion and it turned out to be the perfect place. It's very spacious for gathering everyone together or for people to have their own space. The setting is beautiful with the woods off the back and it is close to everything. The pool table provided much entertainment as did all the media devices. The deck was nice for hanging out and/or barbequing.

My friends and I stayed at this home and had a great time. The home was spacious, clean and well equipped. The hot tub added a great touch and the spacious deck provided for wonderful evenings under the stars. It was my first time in Mansanutten and I found it to be a beautiful area with lots of options for nearby dining, wine tours and outdoor activities. The owner, Elliot, was a pleasure to deal with. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.

House Exceeded Expectations, Great Location

We were a fairly large group of 20 people, and we were able to fit comfortably in the house. The amenities were nice and more than exceeded our expectations for a vacation home. The weather happened to be perfect, which made for a good time hiking at the Shenandoah National Park and taking photos of the fall foliage. The hot tub was an excellent touch. Elliott, the property manager, is very timely and responsive to your needs and requests. We would recommend for any group!

Great, Relaxing Place

The property is a great place for a bigger group to stay and enjoy the weekend. My group was about 12 people plus a baby and a dog. The two floors let us spread out, cook big meals, and not get in each other's way. The back deck is amazing! The creek in the background and the trees make you think you are completely getting away. Being in a bigger resort also allowed us to explore the area more as well as enjoy a beer & wine festival being held there. The owner was also really great to work with. Can't recommend this place or him more!!

Great Stay!

House and location were very nice - plenty of room for 9 adults/grown children. The driveway is a bit of a challenge, especially for the number of people the house accommodates, and 5 cars is a stretch - there is space for a car or two at the top of the driveway so that helps. We were not able to get the coded entry to work, so a second set of keys in the lockbox would be helpful with a large group. The house had everything we needed and the owner was accessible and very prompt to assist with any questions we had. The hot tub was great!

Lovely weekend getaway

This was a great location for a group of friends to meet up for the weekend. We enjoyed the hot tub, views of the creek, and nearby hiking. The house is spacious and well-appointed for cooking meals, playing games, and hanging out. As others have said, the driveway is steep and narrow, best for small cars with rear-view cameras. There is overflow parking elsewhere in the resort. Also, fair warning that the HVAC unit outside the window of the downstairs master bedroom is VERY noisy - don't put a light sleeper in that room!

A terrific space to get away

This was the perfect space for our large group! Lots of sleeping space, very tucked away and cozy, and a wonderful view of the trees and mountains from the back decks. Elliot was extremely easy to communicate with, even calling to double-check a few details before confirming everything. We only had one tiny snafu with figuring out where to park, but the driveway fits 2-3 cars and we managed the rest without any problem. We had such a lovely time getting away from it all! This property is beautiful, spacious, secluded, and divine. Perfect!

Hello! We’re Sarah and Evan. We met in Nashville in 2022 on a snow storm Bumble app date a few months after we both moved there (Sarah from ATL, Evan from Hawaii!). We both love the outdoors, traveling, exploring new cities, and hanging with our dog, Mika.

Fun Fact: Evan is originally from the D.C. area and graduated from JMU nearby in Harrisonburg, and grew up vacationing in this home with his family. It holds a special place in our hearts and bring us so much joy to be able to share it and this beautiful area with others.

We continue to make new memories here with our family every year and especially enjoy the perfect coffee sipping view on the back deck and all the hiking trails, dog friendly restaurants, and wineries nearby!

We take pride in our mountain home, have been slowly but surely updating it over the last couple years (its a work in progress!), and are so excited to be able to share this wonderful relaxing space with you!
