About this property
Blue Pine Lodge - w/ Hot Tub - What a Mountain Cabin Should Be!
Blue Pine Lodge - what a cabin in the mountains should be! All new furniture, linens, kitchenware, etc... Natural wood trim throughout makes you feel like you are truly on vacation in the woods (but with granite countertops of course) .
Master bedroom with en-suite bathroom. Bedroom #2 - Queen, Bedroom #3 - Queen, Bedroom #4 - Bunk Room w/ 2 bunk beds - both are twin over full size mattresses. The HD TVs have Roku boxes with DirectvStream for regular channels.
This home was originally built in 2012 as a 2nd home for a couple. We purchased it in 2019 and hired the original builder to come and remodel it to be an even better vacation home rental.
We have a variety of games and toys for kids of all ages, such as Giant Connect 4, Uno, Phase 10, imaginext play sets, and assortment of books.
We have a dedicated Retro Atari spot, which we call the arcade nook, which has a 42" HD TV with Retro Atari game system.
The bedrooms come with clean sheets already tucked in for you, and a towel and face cloth for each guest to use. We even have toothbrush holders by the sink. The bathtub and shower have shampoo, conditioner and body wash so you don't need to bring your own. You might want to bring your own pool towel if you plan on visiting the Massanutten Water Park, as they don't supply towels. There is also a classic bidet from TUSHY in the upstairs bathroom!
TVs in the Living Room, Master Bedroom have DirecTV Stream. The TVs in the Bunk Room and 2 Queen bedroom TVs do not have DirecTV Stream but do have other TV apps.
The dining room now has 2 dining tables that each seat 6 people or pull out the foldout leaf and each table seats 8.
The bunk room TV also has an Xbox 360 game system if the Atari isn't your thing.
Outside on the patio is a gas bbq grill, picnic table, lounge chairs, and a huge Connect 4 standing game. In the yard is the new hot tub, a propane fire pit and rack of wood for the fireplace after a day of hiking.
Most of the time you can arrive at the house before the 4pm posted time, unless it's busy, like summertime. Ask us if you'd like to arrive early, so we can check housekeeper schedule.
* Sorry, we can not allow animals at this home, no matter how small or well trained because our kids have crazy allergies.

House was great! Most places are missing some kitchen items, but this had everything I needed to make my son’s birthday dinner. The large master shower was a hit with our teens. Beautiful view and you can hear the stream from the hot tub!
This home was amazing. The ownera thoight of everything! The home was large and well laid out. Lots of space for everyone. It was clean and very well maintained. It was in the perfect location at the resort and close to literally everything. We will be renting this home many times in the future.
This was a great place to stay for a winter break! The house was cozy, clean, and comfortable. The house had everything needed for a family including plenty of comfortable beds, TVs, and game units. Would definitely recommend.
We stayed here with 7 guys for a long weekend. Besides the spare old water bottle we found, the place was absolutely lovely and accommodating! Couldn't have asked for a better stay.
This home was perfect for our group. It had everything we were looking for. Although we didn’t get to ski due to the warm weather, the waterpark was great for the kids as well as local breweries and wineries for the adults.
This place was immaculate. Truly felt so comfortable and cozy. Fireplace was such a nice touch. Hot tub was clean and perfect as was the view and all the other amenities!
Lovely home with plenty of space, in great location. They have clearly put a lot of effort into making this place comfortable and fun for all ages, with every amenity one could need.
We ski with another family every year. This cottage has a great eating space and it’s well stocked. We’ve got six kids and four adults and it was plenty of room for us.Awesome deck and hot tub and when it snowed the owners had the driveway cleared for us. A teen left a purse and they were kind enough to make sure it was returned. Great stay!
Our stay at Blue Pine Lodge was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean and well-maintained the property was. The cabin itself is cozy, beautifully designed, and has all the amenities needed for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring, and the peaceful mountain setting made for a truly serene experience. The hosts were attentive and made sure everything was just right for our stay.If you’re looking for a charming, comfortable, and spotless retreat in the mountains, this is the place to be! We can’t wait to return.
We had a wonderful time at Blue Pine Lodge. It was the perfect space for the six of us. The house was very clean and the decor was warm and inviting! We had fun exploring the area and especially enjoyed our time we spent on Skyline drive. Would definitely come back again!
We had a great weekend enjoying the fall weather and catching up at the cabin. It was clean and well appointed. We had plenty of room for our group of women. Communication with the host was great! Would definitely stay here again!!

About the host
Hosted by Marshall
Moved to Virginia in 2017 and have fallen in love with the whole state, from the ocean to the mountains. In 2018, we purchased our first vacation home in Massanutten - The Pool House (vrbo # 1410173). We updated the home and made it as 'walk in ready' as possible for us as a 2nd home, and for guests too! We enjoy Massanutten so much and being hosts that we now have 4 vacation rental homes in Massanutten Resort area, and a beach house on the Chesapeake. I'm now managing these full time as Highlight Homes. HighlightHomesVA 'com

Why they chose this property
We loved the uniqueness of this home and all the woodwork. It was originally built in 2012 by a couple living in Virginia Beach that only occasionally came to visit. Since this home was not previously a rental, that means the original owners took all the beds/silverware, etc... with them. SO, we have furnished it with all new furniture, mattresses, linens, coffee maker, glasses/plates, etc....
What makes this property unique
View of the slopes from the huge front balcony.
