About the property

4 Bedroom, 3 Bath Home Close To Stratton

Our home is located 2 miles from the Stratton access Road, 20 minutes to Manchester and 15 to the Weston Playhouse and Vermont Country Store. Great for families or several couples and large parties but works for just a couple of folks as well. A long private winding driveway takes you to this home where you have pretty local views and are surrounded by woods. Four Bedrooms are fully furnished and ready for a short or longer vacation. The open cherry kitchen, dining and living room enjoy a fieldstone fireplace and wood and tiled floors. There is a main suite bedroom (Queen bed) on the second floor with a fireplace, wood floors and a bath with oversized shower. Two additional bedrooms up share a full bath (with tub), each of those rooms has two twin beds. On the main floor there is a full bedroom with a full bath that is shared with the common rooms. A family/rec room on the lower level (with ping pong table and tv) makes a great retreat for kids to enjoy. This is an ideal seasonal rental for either the full ski season or the summer months. Great sliding hill in the yard, hiking trails nearby, Lowell Lake, Gale Meadows and the Stratton pond are all just a short drive for summer fun. In the winter you can be on the slopes in minutes. The kitchen is fully appliances, has all the silverware, dinnerware and cooking utensils needed. There is a pull out sofa in main floor bedroom for additional guests, beds sleep 8.

Why Lee Brown chose Stratton Mountain Area

It sets on 90 secluded acres in the mountains close to skiing and the Green Mountains of Vermont. Not far from Manchester, the Dorset horse show, Weston Playhouse, Lowell Lake and more.

Still a fantastic place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We haven't been to this house for a few years, but it was still great. Lee is a great communicator who responded in a timely manner to our initial inquiry and and additional questions.

The house was just as we remembered it. Fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful living room with fireplace. A play area in the basement for the kids. Clean bathrooms and bedrooms.

The location is great as well. Only 3 miles from the Stratton Access Road. Why pay an arm and a leg to stay on mountain when you can have way more space at a far better price.

Thanks again Lee. We will be back.

Excellent Getaway

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had an excellent time staying here for a long ski weekend. House has everything you need and is super close to the Stratton access road. Definitely will look to rent the house again in the future. The Lee's were great to work with and made the renting process smooth.

The Perfect Place

  • 5 of 5

My family recently stayed in this beautiful mountain cabin for a long weekend. There were six of us and two border collies. The cabin was beautifully maintained with plenty of room for all. The master suite has vaulted ceilings, a stone fireplace, and a private bath. It was quite something. The outdoor property was fantastic and gave our dogs the chance to play outside off leash. The cabin owners were thoughtful and very generous in true Vermont fashion. We will definitely be back!!!

We are just a few minutes from skiing at Stratton Mountain, Bromley, Magic and a little further to Okemo and Mt.Snow ski areas. Manchester is about 20 minutes away and provides outlet shopping and a wide variety of fine restaurants to choose from (about 10 restaurants within 5-10 minutes from the house too). The Weston and Dorset playhouses are favorites and the famous Vermont Country Store is nearby as well! If you enjoy antiquing there are shops galore and if you'd rather a brewery tour then VT has many micro-breweries to visit. There are great local swimming holes, rivers to enjoy, paddle boarding, Kayak, Canoe and mountain bike rentals, hiking trails, Lowell Lake, Snowmobiling, Paintball, ATV tours and more, just ask for details on what you are interested in and we can direct you.
