Great location, walk to Magazine St. Garden District

  • 5 of 5

Tastefully decorated beautiful kitchen + living + dining room + half-bath on 2nd floor with 3rd floor having 3 roomy bedrooms, 2 full baths. Great for a family. Lovely hosts immediately fixed any minor problems that arose. This location is actually walkable to the French Quarter (40 min. -- see note about streetcar, below) and a much more convenient 5 min. walk to the Garden District's Magazine Street with its less-crowded, classy, and quirky shops and restaurants. In middle of a safe neighborhood south of St. Charles and north of Magazine, with a spacious park 1/2 block away. Also 2 short blocks from 24 hour Walgreens for convenience. St. Charles-line streetcar stops in front of Walgreens, but schedule is inconvenient and irregular, and don't plan on it having any seats available for the city-bound direction if it ever does decide to show up. But you CAN get an outbound ride back home from the French Quarter since the trains empty out on Canal St. for the return trip.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for such a lovely review. It's so helpful for future guest's as well. And it's sad that the streetcar can't be more reliable and frequent, ,,it's so packed all the time, ,,it goes right past my house, ,so I've seen. Come visit anytime, ,,thanks karen

Loved this place! Definitely coming back.

  • 5 of 5

Karen and Paul were wonderful hosts! They communicated very well and added so many nice touches to make our stay extra special. One morning Karen brought us a box of amazing donuts and a note saying she hoped we were enjoying our stay. The home was beautiful and located about a mile from the convention center, which made it very easy to attend the conference our group was in town for. I highly recommend!

Great place in the Garden District

  • 5 of 5

Nice apartment in the garden district. Conveniently located 2 blocks from the trolley. Karen and Paul made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed to enjoy our stay. Karen gave us great suggestions of good places to eat and what to see while we were in NOLA. Overall, a good time was had by all during our adult family reunion trip to NOLA.

Spacious comfy property in the middle of everything

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at this place. Our two (grown) sons had never been to NOLA so were happy to fly in from CA and UT to join us for a mini-reunion, and this was the perfect setting. Lots of space, lots of great neighborhood walks and joints, and close to both the freeway and the St. Charles streetcar. We used it as a base to go to French Quarter, City Park, walking tours, the Destrehan plantation and restaurants all over town, but we also just hung out there. Hosts were very helpful, wireless worked well, and the NOLA-style potato chips that greeted us were fabulous.

While we were in the Orleans on business this property was very convenient and a short Uber ride away from the convention center. It's also very near the trolley and convenient to everything New Orleans. Beds are very comfortable plenty of kitchen appointments and even some extra toiletries too. Would definitely stay here again!
