a fine home base for exploring N.O.

A bunch of us came in for a family wedding and used this unit as our home base. The location is great, the unit has been nicely re-modeled, the backyard is a super place to relax amidst a nicely sculptured garden, and Cindy is an attentive and helpful landlady. Couldn't ask for more

Perfect location for a NOLA vacation

I was raised in New Orleans and lived Uptown prior to moving. Cindy's home is a perfect spot for a perfect stay in New Orleans. We were there for 7 nights - 2 parents, 2 teenage daughters, and one spoiled chihuahua. This vacation spot is so convenient to everything you want to see in the city, very quiet and secure, and completely stocked with everything you might need. It's spacious, bright and decorated with Cindy's lovely art, three very comfortable queen memory foam beds, and we really liked the separate kitchen downstairs as we get up in the morning at different times. Walk the neighborhood to the grocery, great restaurants, beautiful neighborhoods and homes, fun retail, and public transportation, whether to Tulane/Audubon Park or Downtown/FQ. If you're driving, parking is not a problem, though I do suggest hopping the bus or streetcar to go downtown - so cheap and easy. My husband grabbed a cab from the City Park golf course - very reasonable rate.

We enjoyed a fantastic summer rate, but if you're planning for Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, or any other special event, Cindy's place is worth every penny.

I woke up today homesick for Cindy's home!

Great location in the Garden District, and wonderful space

This duplex is a couple blocks from Magazine street, which features an eclectic collection of independent restaurants and shops, and the bus line which will take you directly to the Quarter.

Our teens enjoyed having their own bedroom, and the living space was very nice to relax or stay in during a rainstorm. The unit was very clean, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the back yard patio was very quiet and peaceful.

If you want to be away from the Quarter (and I'd recommend that to everyone), this is a great location and a great home-away-from-home.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location. Great private backyard setting. Highly recommended

Cindy was a fabulous hostess!! Everything was exactly as described and then some. We were a party of 5 and everyone was extremely comfortable & cozy in the house. The bathroom upstairs is huge! All the bedrooms are good sized. There was pleanty of seating in the family room for us to sit together comfortably. Everyone in our group couldn't say enough good things about how wonderful our stay was. It was in the perfect location. Cindy has all the necessities right on the property. There's a grocery store within walking distance. Close to Magazine St where there are lots of cute stores and great restaurants. Beautiful walk through the Garden District to the streetcar, which you could take into the city. We will definitely be looking forward to staying here again in our future travels to NOLA. ALL was PERFECT!

Thank you Cindy for everything and being so helpful in all of your recommendations to us!! We just arrived home yesterday and can't wait to come back!

The property was great! A quaint, well-appointed cottage in the Lower Garden District.

We had a wonderful experience. Cindy is a great hostess. Her place is better than advertised. The cottage is very comfortable and clean with a great layout. The backyard is awesome, great for early morning coffee or an evening drink. The location is very convenient but away from the hustle of the French Quarter. Convenient to the shops and restaurants of Magazine Street and among the beautiful homes of the Garden District. We would definitively stay with Cindy again.
