Fabulous family Mardi Gras!

  • 5 of 5

We could not have had a better trip, thanks in large part to this absolutely gorgeous house. From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. Everything was spotless sand beautifully decorated, stocked with the essentials: dishes, appliances, pots/pans in the kitchen; hotel-style products in the stunning bathrooms; and even cleaning supplies just in case. The neighborhood is residential and quiet, but close to other areas with shopping, dining, and more. We did have a car, so the gated yard and driveway were great. We didn't have any small children, but with the play house out back and the toys/games in a few of the closets, we know this house would be a great place for young families. We went for Mardi Gras and could not have asked for a better home base after long days of parades and parties. The beautiful porch was even decorated in Mardi Gras tulle and beads! Kerri was incredibly responsive and accommodating, giving us a very flexible checkout when a few plans changed. We can't thank her enough for her wonderful hospitality. We're already planning our next trip!

oh my gosh - we had such a great time! The house was perfect; pure New Orleans charm. My 2 granddaughters loved the play house and the slide :). We had so much fun exploring the neighborhood and the whole city. Thank you Kerri!

The perfect house for a girls getaway

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough positive things about this home. I booked this property for my friends bachelorette trip and it couldn't have went any smoother. The house is in a great location (about $15 uber fare to get to French Quarters). Also, the house was in a safe location which was important to me. The house is well equipped with any nicknacks you might find yourself needing. Mrs. Kerri was always quick to respond and provided all the details to ensure we had a perfect trip. When I visit New Orleans again, I will defiantly be booking this property!

Wonderful time in this Uptown-Carrollton home!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here March 2017 for a girls getaway/birthday trip and it was honestly the most beautiful home. The fence is a nice added touch of privacy. Owner is very responsive and helpful.

Car: recommended

The house is in a great neighborhood close to all of Uptown and the French Quarter. (1 mile to Tulane, 1.8 miles to Audubon Park and Zoo with water park, 1.5 to St. Charles streetcar line, and 3 miles to the French Quarter. Less than 5 minutes to the Superdome and New Orleans Arena, 3.7 miles to City Park for boating, mini golf, storyland, sculpture garden . . . )

The house is 2 blocks from a city bus line that goes to the French Quarter.

Go to the norta site, for New Orleans Regional Transit Authority, and look for the Claiborne line.

The house is in a residential neighborhood, but within one mile there are many coffee shops and restaurants.

About half a mile away is the hot, new Freret Street strip with Cure (bar), The Company Burger, High Hat Café, and several other bars and restaurants.

Less than a mile away, on Calhoun, there is a block of restaurants and bars including Ted’s Frostop Diner, The First Cup, Pyramids Café, Bud’s Broiler, and more.

About 1 mile away, are famous restaurants Pascal's Manale and Gautreau's.

1.7 miles away are two of New Orleans best, Upperline and Le Crepe Nanou.

For coffee, there is Village Coffee about 3/4 mile away on Jefferson, and the Rosa F Keller library on Napoleon (.7 miles, nice 10 minute walk) has a great little coffee shop (not open on Sundays).

There are lots of restaurants that deliver to the house including the best sushi in town (Mikimoto), pizza, Mediterranean (Pyramid Café), and plenty more.

Just 2 blocks east, there is a CVS pharmacy with good wine, liquor, beer selections.

Taxi service to the two main tourist areas: to the French Quarter is about $12.37. To St Charles Avenue (streetcar line) and Garden District is about $7.38.
