Fabulous family Mardi Gras!

  • 5 of 5

We could not have had a better trip, thanks in large part to this absolutely gorgeous house. From the moment we walked in, we felt right at home. Everything was spotless sand beautifully decorated, stocked with the essentials: dishes, appliances, pots/pans in the kitchen; hotel-style products in the stunning bathrooms; and even cleaning supplies just in case. The neighborhood is residential and quiet, but close to other areas with shopping, dining, and more. We did have a car, so the gated yard and driveway were great. We didn't have any small children, but with the play house out back and the toys/games in a few of the closets, we know this house would be a great place for young families. We went for Mardi Gras and could not have asked for a better home base after long days of parades and parties. The beautiful porch was even decorated in Mardi Gras tulle and beads! Kerri was incredibly responsive and accommodating, giving us a very flexible checkout when a few plans changed. We can't thank her enough for her wonderful hospitality. We're already planning our next trip!

Wonderful Home -- A true home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

This is my family's second time renting this home, and it truly is our home away from home. We enjoy the character of the home, the neighborhood is great, the space is great -- my family always enjoys the yard for fun and games. The location is great - easy access. It is always clean and I came back because I knew what I was going to be coming to -- no surprises. We really enjoyed sitting out on the porch. It is just such a nice place -- my family enjoyed everything and we will be back. Mattresses could be firmer -- but maybe I did not know how to work the gadget. Thanks for everything.

Simple elegance! This home was beautifully & elegantly decorated.

  • 5 of 5

We LOVED our stay here. The house was so beautiful with plenty of room for all of us. The neighborhood was quiet, and we felt safe. We will definitely recommend this property to our friends & family. Next time we travel to New Orleans, this will be our first choice for a place to stay.

Perfect blend - What a great trip!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures don't do this home justice. It is so beautifully decorated...filled with charm and lots of style. Easily spacious enough for 6 adults. The location makes is so easy to visit the various sections of the city and then head back a bit to escape the heat and get some rest. It really does offer the perfect blend for a New Orleans vacation. We stayed for 5-days while dropping off our college bound son. We never grew tired of the home. We felt so at ease.

The house is in a great, historic neighborhood close to all of Uptown and the French Quarter. (1 mile to Tulane, 1.8 miles to Audubon Park and Zoo with water park, 1.5 to St. Charles streetcar line, and 3 miles to the French Quarter. Less than 5 minutes to the Superdome and New Orleans Arena, 3.7 miles to City Park for boating, mini golf, storyland, sculpture garden . . . )

The house is 2 blocks from a city bus line that goes to the French Quarter.

Go to the norta site, for New Orleans Regional Transit Authority, and look for the S Claiborne line, Napoleon line.

The house is in a residential neighborhood, but within one mile there are many coffee shops and restaurants.

About half a mile away is the hot, new Freret Street strip with Cure (bar), The Company Burger, High Hat Café, and many other bars and restaurants.

Less than a mile away, on Calhoun, there is a block of restaurants and bars including Ted’s Frostop Diner, The First Cup, Pyramids Café, Bud’s Broiler, and more.

About 1 mile away, are famous restaurants Pascal's Manale and Gautreau's.

1.7 miles away are two of New Orleans best, Upperline and Le Crepe Nanou.

There are lots of restaurants that deliver to the house including the best sushi in town (Mikimoto), pizza, Mediterranean (Pyramid Café), and plenty more.

Just 2 blocks east, there is a CVS pharmacy with good wine, liquor, beer selections.

Taxi service to the two main tourist areas: to the French Quarter is about $12.37. To St Charles Avenue (streetcar line) and Garden District is about $7.38.
