The Space

With approximately 3,200 square feet of living space, this home is thoughtfully designed for indoor-outdoor living. The great room opens to the lanai through dramatic pocketing doors, allowing ocean breezes and panoramic views to fill the space. Guests can unwind with movie nights on the 70-inch TV, challenge each other to a game on the 12-foot shuffleboard table, or gather in the gourmet kitchen featuring Thermador appliances, mahogany cabinetry, and granite countertops.

We had a wonderful time staying at this house with my two kids and grandparents. the main living area is spacious and comfortable. Very easy inside/outside living made occasional rain no big deal. The kitchen has everything you could need to cook elaborate meals, the pool and hot tub are well maintained with lots of toys for the kids. Beds were comfortable and the house was clean. No complaints and would stay again!

This was by far and away the best property we have ever stayed at. Unbelievably great views from all over the house. The open floor plan opens to the outdoors and the beautiful infinity pool and waterfall hot tub and the stunning view of the ocean from atop of the hill. Wonderfully situated, well-appointed, very clean, very distinctive. A true sluce of paradise. We did not want to leave.

Amazing Views and Fabulous Amenities

Our stay was fabulous! Highly recommend. Well appointed kitchen. Comfortable beds. Outdoor space incl. pool, hot tub, grill, tv, dining area, hammock, as well as resort style pool lounges. Gorgeous outdoor shower, koi pond. Quiet neighborhood. Indoor space fabulous for gathering and hanging out with our group. Bedrooms roomy and private. No air conditioning. Great Spaces for a Group!

We had 6 adults and one small child in our group the the house had great spaces for everyone. The hammock was a hit! The kitchen seemed much larger than the photos and allowed multiple people to do what they needed there. We saw whales out in the ocean (at a distance) every day. The neighborhood was quiet (except for the tree frogs) and we enjoyed taking a coffee tour/tasting nearby.

Absolute Perfection!

My family of 8 stayed here for our Hawaii vacation and it was perfection! It literally felt like our own private resort. We spent countless hours in the incredible infinity pool and hot tub. The kitchen was fully stocked and easy to manage. Quiet neighborhood and close to the beach, restaurants and shopping in Kona. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of linens and towels. 10 out of 10! Highly recommend and will book again!

BEAUTIFUL AND EVER CHANGING SUNSETS EVERY DAY….

Beautiful property with fantastic views. It was a family affair with all of our kids, which made it the most memorable, best holiday ever!!!!! We had a couple of issues with the property, but the staff at Kona Coast resort properties were exceptional and quick to reply to our needs. Leah and the team were extremely pleasant to deal with. Loved this “home base”

We enjoyed this home immensely for our 9 days on the Big Island. Location is great, close to Kona/ kid friendly beaches, very quiet neighborhood, unreal sunset views. We especially loved the pass through window from the well stocked kitchen to the pool area. Pina coladas anyone? Another thing we all loved was the hot tub being warm all the time and the tropical outdoor shower. The kiddos loved the koi pond, waterfalls into the pool, and appreciated pool toys and DVDs. Beds are comfy and there is good separation of space. Also, David was amazing with recommendations for date nights and all the activities! We would gladly stay at this property again.

The house and the outside pool and hot tub and yard was beautiful. However house was so hot no AC and only a few fans that were left actually worked. It was difficult to sleep and you had no choice but to leave all windows and doors open. That I think is a safety issue but had no choice. Would not stay there again. Bedrooms should at least have AC.

Breathtaking

The property is a dream. The views can’t be beat. The home is spacious and was perfect for our two families, both with younger age children. Second to the view we really loved the shuffle board! We spent many hours in the hot tub. My only complaint if I could have one, is that the pool is not warm/heated. The home is up in elevation and it’s a bit cooler than at sea level (which is nice after a day at the beach). I realize this is a luxury request and may be relative for many and may vary with the season. I only mention it in case it’s important to someone else too. We made great memories in this home and we were all very comfortable. We would stay here again.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything at this home was immaculate! The views were amazing, property management and support were top notch. The built in grill had some issues, so before I even arrived they had a very nice grill already there gassed up and ready to go as a replacement. Would have been nice to have the whole house sound system - but I understand the neighborhood has noise rules, and renters can abuse those. The biggest problem we had was lounging around and enjoying the house too much, and not seeing enough of the island!

Very nice BUT ….

This property was beautiful, but needs a good cleaning. Floors & carpets dirty and were sandy, dead centipedes & other bugs in the corners, sand in the dryer, and BEDBUGS in the room with two twins. We spent our first day cleaning floors. Kitchen area was spotless, so were the bathrooms. Broken screens on some of the windows- again in room with twin beds. Pool was sparkling clean, spa was wonderful too. Unparalleled views of ocean and the twinkling lights of Kona. Note: pool faces west so we really couldn’t swim until mid afternoon when it warmed up. The kitchen has everything! If you can’t find a utensil, bowl, etc etc you are not looking hard enough! Restful and relaxing if you don’t mind dealing with a little nature in the house.

A perfect slice of paradise!

This property is gorgeous. From the breathtaking views to the large, open concept common area with comfy sectional, large table and fully retractable wall to the pool area, it was the perfect place to celebrate our daughter successfully beating cancer! (Woo hoo!)We had 7 adults and the space accommodated us perfectly. The bedrooms were spacious, comfortable and three of the four bedrooms had their own bathrooms. The kitchen had a large refrigerator with a second refrigerator on the patio. We cooked several dinners at the home and had everything we needed. We even had a chef prepared dinner the last evening which we highly recommend. The views from the back of the home are spectacular. Stunning sunsets and a gentle breeze make it the perfect location. You can go "up the hill" a mile and there is a quaint town with coffee shops, gift shops and a restaurant. Going down to Kona takes about 10 mins where they have a Safeway, Walmart and other groceries and restaurants. It is also close to the ocean for snorkeling, charters, etc. and beautiful golf courses. The property includes access to a concierge service, Kona Concierge, and David was extremely helpful in setting up adventures and making recommendations. Everything we did was incredible and it was nice to have someone help us make reservations.The only downside was that the kitchen faucet was finicky and didn't always stay on, we reported it and it sounded like they would replace it after our stay.

Kitchen infested with termites

This house has a severe termite issue. I get that this happens in Hawaii but there is no excuse for us not being notified that the infestation is that bad. I would have liked the option to stay somewhere else rather than live with the termites and their waste. The main refrigerator and freezer inside the kitchen also does not work which was quite inconvenient. We lost hundreds of dollars worth of food because the refrigerator does not cool to a proper temperature for food. The property manager sending someone over to flip the breaker and declare that it is cooling now was quite inadequate considering the bottom drawers only cooled to 55 and 67 degrees. We will not be staying here again and could not wait to leave.

Absolutely Gorgeous Place

This property was one of the best I've ever stayed at. Me and my friends had a fantastic time! Was a little worried with the no A/C but during the day we were either in the pool or not at home. At night with the windows open and a fan blowing it was great. Driveway was big enough for 2 SUVs The view is absolutely amazing. It was like something out of a movie and we have never seen anything so beautiful before. Just for the view alone would be worth booking this house. The house is stocked with every cooking utensil and appliances you can think of. Met all of our needs. Outdoor grill was very nice spot to hang out while we cooked some steaks and watched some football. Four king beds was perfect for all of us. Pool was amazing and nice and cool. Great way to cool off during the day or at night. The hot tub was very relaxing at night just before bed. Bathrooms were very clean and stocked well. Master bath shower and Jacuzzi were amazing. Didn't know a shower could have so many shower heads! Not sure I can go back to having just one! Only complaint would be that the cold option for the showers would be warm and not cold. Hard to take a cold shower. Not sure if that is a Hawaii thing or the house never having been here before. One other thing would be that the night stands were a little dusty. But that was easy to wipe down with a towel. Otherwise we had a great 8 days here in Hawaii and we can't wait until we are able to come back! :)

OMG the views!!!

IO Way was beautiful! The most amazing sunsets and 180 degree view of the ocean. The weather was completely different at the home from Kona town. My 10 year old was in the pool non stop and we were outside the majority of the time (bring bug spray for mosquitos!). Home was clean except for some walls (hard to reach) and one of the guest baths had a clump of hair. Floors could use a good scrubbing but I guess that's indoor/outdoor living (shoes are never allowed in homes for us). Neighborhood was quiet except for some construction nearby If I had the option to change things, guests would be able to control the waterfalls - sometimes peace and quiet was preferred. No sunscreen or sitting on the patio furniture wet. That's a silly one! The ability to light the Tiki torches - ambience! Sliding doors are incredibly hard to move. Some don't close all the way (master). I'd also add shower doors - water gets all over the place. The gardeners were incredibly kind, announced themselves first. The garbage collector grabbed the cans for us when we forgot to put them out. Would have preferred the pool cleaners to announce themselves before helping themselves to the backyard with their conversation including f-bombs. They also showed up an additional day which wasn't shared in the guest book. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Praying for the islands and its people during this incredibly difficult time.
