Awesome on-site amenities and an unbeatable beachfront location are ready to welcome you to this Place at the Beach condo! The resort's outdoor and indoor pool, hot tub, and sports courts provide plenty of opportunities for recreation and relaxation close to home. When you're ready to venture out, you'll find all the best of Atlantic Beach within easy reach of the condo. From the world-class fishing and fresh seafood to the museums, the aquarium, and all the local eateries, breweries, and shops - there is something for everyone in this charming Crystal Coast town. Fort Macon State Park is less than a half-mile from the property.

At home, kick back in the living room to watch shows and movies on the smart TV or head out to the private patio to soak in the views and cool ocean breeze. The convenient kitchen area makes it easy to plan and prepare meals at home. Additional perks include central air-conditioning and free WiFi. Shared laundry facilities are available on-site.

Awesome Location

This was our third year at A Place at the Beach and our second in this specific unit. It is by far our favorite community that we have stayed at on Atlantic Beach. The amenities are the best and everything is well cared for and maintained. We will continue to stay here in the future.

Wonderful Stay

Comfortable and peaceful. Away from the crowd. Enjoyed thr amentities and the view of the beach from the balcony. A.C. worked Great! Considering we were on the 3rd floor an extra elevator and more luggage carts that are sturdier but we managed and got plenty of exercise.

It was ok....

We love A place at the beach! There is a lot to keep our young children busy, and the pools are lovely. This was our first year in this room. The wifi was non existent in Room 351. After receiving an email that Charter would be on site to fix it, there were no results. I messaged Vacasa and called, and was met with general "reset the modem" responses. We eventually found that the modem in the room didn't even have a power cord attached to it, notified Vacasa, and no one came or responded to rectify the situation. Having wifi in the room for downtime is almost essential, especially when you're met with a heat wave, and can't keep kids outside all day. This was disappointing, to say the least. We may book again, but will not book this room.

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this beach condo. Unit was very clean when we checked in and was ready early. The property amenities were great and well maintained. This place is also very close to good restaurants, which is a plus. Potential cons for some folks: The elevator (there is only one in the building) is quite far from the unit, and luggage carts were not easy to come by when we checked in. We ended up just carrying all of our stuff up the 3 flights of stairs. For families with a lot of gear or mobility challenges, this is probably not a great option. Similarly, if you haul a lot of gear to the beach, be prepared for a .4 mile walk (we measured it on our Apple Watches). Final con: The main TV is not a smart tv, and WiFi is a captive that forces a log in every time you use it. This isn’t especially important unless you need to work for a bit or want to watch movies at night. All in all a great stay and would rent again!

The place at the beach is a wonderful condo community with great amenities and generally a family oriented environment. The beach is beautiful. The condo, on the other hand would receive a 2/5. Overall, was not cleaned well. Toilets had stains, floors were still dirty and showers were stained. I had to clean when I entered. The baseboards were filthy.Kitchen: had appliances, however, no bowls. I had to use a sauce pan to mix things. Limited plates and silverware. Only one drain/strainer. Sleeps 5 but 4 chairs at table. Laundry: dryer broke while there. FYI: very small washer and dryer. Can fit a few towels only. Definitely would not return to this rental. It was cramped as well. I asked my 9 year old daughter what she thought and she said “it was filthy.” I mentioned the cleanliness issue and was told something would be done but nothing was done. Also, if you want to use the trundle bed don’t plan on it as there is not enough space to pull it out. I had to put the nightstand in the closet and it only came out partially.

So dirty, but still a piece at the beach

Ok- trying to give my most honest objective feedback for other people shopping for a place to stay. Pros - You are at ‘A place at the beach’ and all that includes. We love the pools, sports available, community grilling, and easy beach access. The property is gorgeous, safe and well maintained as far as these things go. - The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. - The view from the balcony does have water view and was relaxing. - There was sufficient kitchen utensils. - The a/c worked great. Cons - The house was filthy upon arrival. I would say no one cleaned, but there was sanitizing strips on the toilets, so they were there. So much sand and dirt on floor that it stuck to your feet and made them black. Both showers were covered in moldy soap scum and had other peoples hair in the showers. There was food stuck to the kitchen cabinets and stove. And the worst things for me was a bathing suit panty liner with hair stuck to it in the master bedroom dresser, and a very serious amount of mold in the washing machine. - The house needs some maintenance. Dirty rugs thrown under every cabinet and in every closet. The rug in the floor in the spare room was stained and gross.
