Hermoso Ski In-Ski Out Chalet cerca de la cima del remonte Western Express.

Este refugio aislado, SKI-IN SKI-OUT, con espectaculares vistas al oeste DESDE 4800 'sobre el nivel del mar, se encuentra en la cima de la montaña Snowshoe. El chalet cuenta con dos chimeneas de piedra natural, leña, una en cada piso. Las áreas de la sala de estar están en el primer y segundo piso. Ambos con grandes televisores de pantalla plana en las paredes, sistemas estéreo y reproductores de DVD. El chalet tiene dos cocinas completas y 2 comedores, uno en cada piso.
 6 dormitorios, 4 baños y 2 cuartos de lavado.
El chalet está al lado de las pistas de esquí CUPP RUN y SHAY'S REVENGE.
El remonte del territorio occidental pasa por nuestra cubierta, justo antes de llegar a la cima. Esta es casi la única casa que puedes ver desde cualquier ascensor en Snowshoe. Recuerda que todas las pistas de Snowshoe conectan para que puedas esquiar hasta el pueblo o cualquier lugar del resort y volver a casa. ¿Buscas pendientes más fáciles? Llame al TRANSPORTE GRATUITO. En frente de la casa, 10 minutos después de haber sido llamado, el pueblo y las pistas fáciles están a menos de 1 milla de distancia, a solo 4 minutos en automóvil directamente al pueblo. El servicio de transporte opera desde las 8 a.m. hasta la 1AM. Puede regresar en el transbordador o esquiar de regreso al chalet en las pistas. Hay estacionamiento arado y mucha leña para hacer de esta una experiencia maravillosa.

Host was very helpful and quick to respond. He gave us very detailed directions for the best routes to get to the cabin. Beautiful views , sunsets and close to slope. Shuttle service was very nice.

Great getaway

The views are amazing,. The town/village atmosphere is picture perfect. There isn’t much to do but ski, so If your looking to spend your time on the slopes, this is the place.

We had a great time.

We had a 7 day stay with Family coming from all over the east coast. the property is maybe a little tired (but still better than my house), but everything worked and nothing was anywhere near bad. We gave the place a run for it's money and it held up well. The views were spectacular. the atmosphere was tremendous.

nice house on the slope

Spend a few days with family here and we really enjoyed our stay. The location was awesome with free shuttle service to anywhere on snowshoe property and was even able to get the shuttle to silver creek at night to take the kids tubing. The house had everything we needed, but I have to say my favorite was sitting by the fireplace and looking out over the mountain tops at the breath taking views.Host had plenty of firewood and even had someone come shovel the porches when we received snow. I would stay here again.

Awesome house and location!

Me and a group of friends rented this place out for spring break and it was amazing. The house was super clean upon arrival and included many amenities. The house is also located about a 2 minute walk to the ski slope which was a huge plus. Also you can’t beat the view of the sunset on the front porch. The owner Phil is super friendly and easy to get in contact with if needed. Me and my friends will definitely be planning a trip back up here soon.

Nice place for summer get together

IN normal times, I get together with 4 other college buddies (now all middle aged!) for several days of peak bagging in Colorado. With the pandemic no one wanted to fly -- so we agreed on WV for some fun. This house was quite nice -- we especially appreciated the fact that at 4800' of altitude, the nights cool off quite quickly. Great star gazing (saw the comet during our stay).

Beautiful views

So, I must have missed that this house was actually 2 separate apartments. It was fine except when it was raining and we wanted to go hang out together. When we first got there we discovered 2 chimney swifts that had become trapped in the upstairs apartment and died. I felt so bad. Poor things. My husband checked the chimney and the damper was not used. We did like the location and we had a nice time.

Great Place at Snowshoe!

We enjoyed our stay at the Slopeside Chalet! The host was responsive to all of our needs and provided some helpful knowledge about Snowshoe for our stay. The home is just as advertised - walking distance to Shay's so is ski in / ski out for those who can ski blacks, and for those who cannot the shuttle is convenient, and takes no more than 10 minutes to pick you up when called. The house was stocked with plenty of firewood, and we were able to utilize both fireplaces upstairs and down. The upstairs living area has a great Western view out of the A-frame window, and was spacious enough to accommodate our whole crowd for hanging out at the end of the day. Added bonus there were deer outside each morning so nice to see some wildlife right outside the windows.

Great overall experience

Our group of 13 adults had a great experience. Not a fancy place, but accommodated us very well. Love the wood-burning fireplace. The views, the shuttle system the den area to hang out in. Did not like that the first and second floor not connected.. Had to go outside to get upstairs. missed not being able to walk to the village. good communication with the owner.

Great communication! Beautiful views. Property needs a little work. Decent for the $$

The owner is very communicative and very nice. The location and views are fantastic. The downstairs condo plumbing needs updating. The toilet kept overflowing. The stone stairs has a top loose step that needs repaired, elderly person almost fell. The upper deck railing needs repair. This is a good place for the money and has the potential to be amazing.

Thanks for your input. We thoroughly checked the house after this guest checked out. The toilets in all 4 bathrooms seemed to be working fine but we have a plumber scheduled for a professional opinion. We also have a mason scheduled to rebuild the 4 stone steps from the patio to the driveway, one of them is loose. Thank You for bringing these issues to my attention.

Very nice property. Pictures posted by owner don't do it justice. Owner has thought of everything, all the little things. It was decorated for Christmas. There were plenty starter logs for the fireplace as well as the lighter, brochures for the resort, propane and charcoal grills, extra garbage bags etc etc. All the little things that sometimes you forget to bring along... 2nd floor livingroom with its high ceilings is definitely more spacious and it quickly became our main gathering/hangout spot. Can't wait to visit again.

Beautiful home; Great location; Couldn't ask for anything more

We rented this home for a 3-4 day weekend for 16 people and this home was as advertised and more. The house is beautiful with lots of space--everyone had a bed, plus living areas are big enough for everyone to hang out in. The fireplace was a nice amenity to have in the first place, but while we were there it was -8 degrees with a windchill of -31 and the fireplace was great to have. The shuttle service was reliable and very convenient and took no time at all to get anywhere. To top it all off we were able to ski directly back to the house at the end of the day via a trail off the Western Territory. Phil was very quick to answer any questions we had prior to arrival and the house was equipped with everything we needed and more. We plan to return and won't be staying anywhere else. This has to be the best spot on the mountain.

Price is extreme for what you get.

Overall not worth the price and was really disappointed for 8k. Expection by owner to remove all trash 1 mile down the street is ridiculous. It is not 1/4 mile. Master closet was unusable stuffed with owners bedding and furniture. Bring your own kitchen supplies. Stuff is so old it’s unusable. Just piled in the cabinets. I went out and bought cooking pots. Location is good but the place is not maintained adequately for renters.

The Guests before and after Richard submitted beautiful 5 star reviews, as almost all of our guests do... Our housekeeper, Janice, is exceptional and proud of her work! Richard and his rather large group arrived 2 1/2 hours early. Janice, our housekeeper told them she was not done, but they forced their way past her and immediately began unpacking their belongings. We DO NOT permit early check-in. Janice needs all of the time between guests to provide an exceptional level of cleanliness. We do believe to have more than enough good quality kitchen equipment, but we have purchased new Kitchen supplies since Richard's stay anyways (As we do every year). The West Ridge HOA has a dumpster 1/4 of a mile up the road and we ask our guests to take their trash to it. We are not allowed trash receptacles in front of the house per the HOA. We believe, and most of our guests agree, that The Cupp Run Chalet is a top quality stay, in a great location, with incredible views. We pride ourselves on providing the best guest experience possible!

Great Location

Enjoyed the stay in the house. The address given was not available on Google or Apple Maps. The Google address put the location at the entrance of South Westridge. The location is actually at the end of South Westridge next to the Western Ridge Chairlift. This created some confusion as we checked in and the sun was going down. The shuttle service provided by Snowshoe is excellent and will drop you right at the door, The house is a bit dated but everything was very clean and easy to use. Ample firewood for a fire every night and the beds were comfortable. We had 13 total and were all very comfortable. Had some issues with the dryers. The downstairs dryer was not operational and the upstairs dryer took quite a while to get the clothes dry. Small issue when looking at the whole week.

Cozy Ski Chalet

Really cozy ski chalet property right next to the slopes in Snowshoe West Virginia. The property is as advertised but a little nicer than the pictures show. The amenities really make the your stay like home. Two beautiful fireplaces with plenty of wood, a grill, fully loaded kitchens and a shuttle bus to take you everywhere you need to go. The property is far enough away from other places you feel like you are alone in the woods. The house is also right next to a black run on the mountain. So you can ski right up to the house. Phil the host is really easy to work with and was really willing to help ensure we had everything we needed. Make sure you grab groceries in Petersburg as there is nothing around Snowshoe.

Location, location, location!

Location, location, location! I should preface this review by saying that we are seasoned Snowshoe visitors, having stayed at properties in a variety of places on the mountain. However we are summer only visitors as our interest is in the mountain biking opportunities, and world cup races. So I cannot comment on anything snow related, however for a summer visit, particularly for mountain bikers, the location of his property is absolutely perfect. I’m not sure there are any other homes that offer the space or convenience of this one. There is ample covered outdoor space for bicycles on the bottom porch, and on the upper floor rear deck, the top floor living space is perfect for large groups. We had five couples and two children and were all able to eat and socialize comfortably. The upper floor kitchen has been recently updated, and it is very convenient having two kitchens when preparing food for a large group. The shuttle comes within about 10 minutes of calling for it, and we never had to wait more than five or 10 minutes in the village to get the shuttle back, for those in our party who did not want to hike up the 1/4 mile to the village. The house does have some of the usual wear and tear that should be expected with a rental property in a harsh climate, but the location and value for money far outweigh any minor cosmetic issues.

Smelly rooms, old and damaged living room furniture. Bedroom beds can be better. Price paid so not justify condition of the property. Location is excellent.

Simply not true! I find it odd that this is the only one star review that we have ever received and I am Suspicious of their motive. Keyur called us the day before checking out so we sent our maintenance company, they reported NO smell or damage. Keyur paid the lowest rate that we have charged for any weekend over the past year and his group consisted of four families.

Its a beautiful location. I was really appreciative that the homeowner was so accessible to us. From a service standpoint, he was awesome. Although the size of the home was "as advertised", it may have made a difference in our choice of home if we knew that it was necessary to leave the house to go from upstairs to downstairs. This property is really a duplex. The second thing to note is that there is no air conditioning in the upstairs. Thats also where you'd spend most of your time. This wouldn't be an issue most months, but proved to be in summer. We had to leave doors and windows open. This was not ideal because with no screens on doors it windows we had all kinds of flying insects inside. Especially at night when the lights were on. The house was clean, but spider webs were present upon arrival. It appeared that the home had not had guests for a while. Sheets and towels were provided and clean. We did have to clean both grills before using. The showers were great. Plenty of pressure and very hot. Overall, the house grew on us.
