About this property
Rillito Path 1: Cozy, Pet-Friendly pad with W/D
Enjoy all the comforts of home on your upcoming stay in Tucson! This charming, detached home in Midtown is far enough from downtown to avoid the college craziness, yet still close to shopping and world-class AZ outdoor fun
You are only:
- 1/2 mile to the Rillito River Bike Path (E & W)
- 3/4 mile to Brandi Fenton Dog Park (3 dog parks) & Tucson Hop Shop (a dog- & bike-friendly bar/bottle shop)
- 5 mins to Campbell Ave shopping & nightlife
- 10 min to University of Arizona
- 30 min to Mt Lemmon
This small but efficient home has been recently renovated and fully furnished with your comfort and ease of use in mind.
The main area of the home is an open concept kitchen/living room space separated by a custom kitchen island and bar stools. The comfy, salsa-red couch is the perfect place to eat normal meals via the rolling coffee table... or enjoyed in the warm Arizona air on the private, covered rear patio.
A King-sized bed is offered in the bedroom, as well as a roll-away twin bed tucked in the closet. Combined with the couch itself, we believe that no more than 2 adults and 1 child/smaller person can comfortably sleep in the home. If your party has 4+ people, consider staying at Rillito Path 2 next door, with capacity for 5-7 and a private yard space.
Not interested in spending every evening exploring local restaurants? Save time & money by making your own meals in the fully-stocked kitchen, including locally-roasted coffee & tea bar.
Are you in town to ride road bikes? If so, you picked the right spot! As a long-time cyclist & former triathlon coach, I'd be happy to share my collection of 30+ local cycling routes starting from the property as "base camp" to create your own fantasy winter cycling camp. Come see why so many pro cyclists & triathletes call Tucson their home as well!
The home can be accessed via the key-less lock on the front door. Please contact the host directly in the event of an accidental lockout or to reset the access code.
Use one or all of the 3 parking spaces immediately in front of the home, as well as the RV/electric vehicle charging station to on left side of home.
Please do not block the semi-circular driveway.
I live next door and am pretty accessible via the app. I often work from home and my office is just a few minutes away, but as a full-time Realtor I'm always on the move.
Sandwiched between the popular Winterhaven subdivision to the west and a mixed residential/industrial use to the east, the area offers an eclectic mix of demographics. Several new, custom homes dot the area, but the property is also a short walk from a local bus stop, gas station and several affordable apartment & mobile home housing communities. So as such we do see a fair amount of foot traffic along the main road.
The property is located within ~1 mile of a small handful of food & beverage options, as well as within a short drive to restaurants on Campbell Rd (to the west) and Swan Rd (to the east). You can also ride, run or walk directly from the house to access the Bike Path.
There is a 3-car parking lot immediately in front of home, as well as an RV/electric car charging station on the left side of the property which serves as a 4th spot.
Extra parking may be available by request: ask the owner for more info!
Close to SunTran stops for bus lines 11 (which connects to airport) and 17
I live right next door, so please let me know if you have questions or are in need of anything.

About the host
Hosted by Patrick Allen
My family lives in Middle Tennessee & I relocated to Tucson from there in 2013, initially for a job in the endurance sports industry (cycling/triathlon coaching). Tucson is one of the best places in the world for outdoor activities from Nov-April, & that fact has stayed true every year since!
Why they chose this property
Just 1/3 of a mile to the protected Tucson Bike Path means it's super easy to run or ride from the front door to just about any route in the city. Walking distance to Winterhaven during "Festival of Lights". Equidistant to TMC & Banner Hospitals (10-15 min), and close enough to downtown without *being* downtown.
What makes this property unique
Bike Path-adjacent location with great bar (Tucson Hop Shop), bike shop (Hello Bicycle) & 2 restaurants (The Depot, Shooter's Bar) all walking distance. Bike-friendly, pet-friendly & plenty of parking for everyone!
