This place was solid!Although not the easiest to get to (Trust me if you want off the beaten path PEACE and quit this cabin is top notch), the cabin was comfortable, the scenery in the foothills if the San Juan Mountains was amazing. Our host went way above and beyond, answered questions, and even helped with a vehicle lock out!!! Thanks again for letting us use the ATV!

Thank you all so much for the beautiful review. I’m glad you guys had a wonderful time. I hope you guys come back another time. Safe travels. you were all great to visit with.
I will be upfront and say that this cabin may not be for everyone. One of its most positive aspects is its seclusion — and that could also be a negative for some travelers. For me, the seclusion was the most attractive draw to head here for the July 4th weekend. I wanted to escape the fireworks (which turned out to be canceled, anyway, due to the drought) because they stress my dog. I am also a writer, so the seclusion offered a great chance for a mini-retreat to get some writing done. The highlights? The extreme quiet. The evenings and mornings were beautiful. The hummingbirds in the morning were sort of mesmerizing. I loved the farm-fresh eggs and the peaches. The cabin itself is a cute, clean, and comfortable space. Calming. Above all, though, was the hospitality of the owner, Tricia, and her efforts to make me feel welcome and at home. My three days there were just what my soul needed.

Thank you so much. You are welcome to come anytime. It was a pleasure meeting you and your wonderful furry friend. Come and join us again
This is a cute cabin that is well maintained and set up. The drive out to the cabin is dirt road and rough in spots but well worth it. Secluded cabin with trees and mountain view. The owner was very accommodating to us . We were traveling with 9 people and a dog. The beds were comfortable. The listing mentions a set of bunk beds. However those were not there. So the listing should probably be adjusted accordingly. We only stayed one night on our way east. There is a fire place and full kitchen. Overall it was an perfect spot for our needs.

The location of this cabin has some great qualities, especially if you're looking to get away from everything. You can **leave directly from the property on your ATVs and ride for hours**, which was a huge plus for us. The cabin is very secluded while still having Wi-Fi, and we also enjoyed the firepit.Unfortunately, there were several things that made our stay less comfortable. There was **a large amount of food left throughout the cabin, refrigerator and freezer**, as well as batteries/equipment for the solar panels stored in the spare bedroom. It felt less like a vacation rental prepared for guests and more like **someone lived there full-time and left when the cabin was rented**. We felt like we were staying in someone's personal home rather than a vacation rental. There were also **horses kept directly on the cabin property and a large number of flies**, which we were not aware of when booking. The flies definitely affected our stay. The seclusion, ATV access, firepit and Wi-Fi were great. With better preparation between guests, fewer personal items and food left behind, and clearer information in the listing about the horses and property, this could be a much more enjoyable stay.

I’m so sorry you were not comfortable in your stay. Let me explain, the horses are there close to keep the wildlife from entering the yard. We have a lot of wildlife, like bears destroying things and since I put the mules closer to the house we haven’t had a problem. As far as the extra food, I do that since alot of people forget how far out we are and don’t bring food before they come. Most of our guests so far have been very grateful especially in that aspect. Again I apologize for you feeling very uncomfortable . I have had fly traps and things everywhere and when you are in the country, as you well know, things like this happens and are completely out of my control. Again I apologize for your uncomfortable stay
