This is a great condo for its location. My wife is handicapped and this single story condo with close parking made it less challenging for her. The pool was close by too. The condo was nicely stocked with everything you would need.

Perfect condo in paradise

Our stay here was everything we could have hoped for during our time in Hawaii. Great location walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the Hilton conference center. This place is a little larger than the photos suggest too! The hosts were great to communicate with and I couldn't imagine a better place to stay in this area.

Nice property with a great location. There are many shops and restaurants within easy walking distance (0.5 miles or less). Our host was quick to respond to emails and was very helpful. Would highly recommend!

We have stayed here before and definitely will again! This condo is so welcoming and relaxing. We love being on the ground floor as my boyfriend has back issues and stairs are a pain! Close to the pool and we love the lanai! Owners are super responsive to any questions we had. Loved our visit!

We love staying at Vista Waikoloa! This condo has easy access to the pool and the BBQ. The Lanai is so peaceful. We get up each morning to the native birds singing.

The area is very quiet and convenient to the local amenities. We were pleased with how well appointed the kitchen is, and enjoyed the privacy of the outdoor sitting/dining areas. Well-equipped house

We loved the house hosted by Gretchen and Bob. It is in a wonderful complex, clean, spacious and well-equipped for hanging out on the beach, picnics and cooking. I would highly recommend this house.

Great place-spacious,airy. Can walk to shops and beach is 10” walk. Everything was great except I left a pouch behind containing about 200 worth of sun block and moisturizers that host was gracious enough to let us back in after check out 3 hrs earlier. Upon arrival, apt had already been cleaned, beds made and linens changed. Pouch was not there.

Fantastic vacation Stay

Staying here was an absolute pleasure. The unit was spacious, very clean and had everything you could want. It was close to the beach, shopping and numerous restaurants. I had several communications with the owner who was very accommodating and gracious. They also provided a comprehensive welcome binder full of very useful information and brochures for all the activities and sightseeing on the island. When I return to the Big Island I will try and make arrangements to stay here again.

Highly recommend!

We had wonderful experience staying at Gretchen's condo. The listing and check in instructions were accurate and detailed. The condo is very well stocked and clean. Vista Waikoloa has very clean, well maintained, heated pool and two hot tubs which we fully enjoyed. We usually stay at Kolea resort, but found Vista Waikoloa be equally enjoyable. Unfortunately, our toddler scratched TV screen with crayons bad enough so it had to be replaced. Despite this inconvenience for the host, Gretchen's communication with us remained courteous and complete which we greatly appreciated.

Wonderful Waikoloa condo!

The condo was exactly as described on the website, everything was awesome. Great location, close drive to the very best sandy beaches. Very short walk to the pool and the awesome hot tubs. The condo was very clean and all of the appliances worked great. Gretchen promptly answered all of our questions, including providing helpful local information. We enjoyed having beach chairs and towels available for our use. We would definitely rebook this property.

Great stay at a gem of a property

We wanted to stay in the Waikoloa area since it is a good “base” for all the activities we wanted to do as a family. It was close to beaches, Kailua shopping, and other adventures. We booked this since it was in the area and fit the size of my family (4 of us). The condo is bright and LOTS of natural light if you want to open the sliders. Owners were VERY responsive and answered any/all questions we had. Emailed me back quickly. Property was clean and we felt very “at home” staying there. Close to the pool but was very quiet when we chose to sit outside. Would HIGHLY recommend and look forward to trying to stay at this property again!

Great location

Wonderful stay, we loved the short walk to see the sunsets and the closeness to shopping. The pool and hot tubs were great, we met some wonderful people there. Also, the community barbeques were very good. The condo is on the first floor and the way it is situated, we did not get much of the cross breeze, it is good to have the A/C when it got hot. Overall, the kitchen had what we needed, however some of the items are a bit old. Also, there was a lot of food left in the refrigerator that we had to toss out when we arrived. There was a large closet with lots of beach equipment which was great, but some of the items are getting old and a bit rusty (beach chairs and umbrella). Overall, we liked the condo and would stay again.

We live, work, and have raised our family in Anchorage, Alaska. We have five children ranging in age from 24 to 46 and four teenage grandchildren. We are both very active in the community but not so active we can’t escape to The Big Island for a some aloha spirit.

Why they chose this property

We love the laid back aloha spirit of Hawaii. In addition, it is the most convenient tropical location for Alaskans with many direct flights year round.

We particularly love The Big Island with its variety of climate, vegetation, wonderful beaches, and many things to do.

What makes this property unique

When we decided to buy in Hawaii, we looked at several properties. We didn’t get the same “island feeling” in the other units. The best way to describe it is the feeling of “aloha.” Walking into our condo and opening the lanai doors to the beautiful garden brings an amazing sense of peace, relaxation and anticipation of fun.

The location is perfect for exploring the beaches and towns on the sunny Kohala Coast. With the beautiful beach at A-Bay, fine dining and a variety of shops all within walking distance many needs can be met without ever having to leave the resort area. It is a haven whether you want to kick back and do nothing or venture out and do everything

The mature landscaping is amazing. The pool is salt water, heated, big enough for lap swimming and there are two fabulous hot tubs. The unit is ground floor so not having to carry groceries, or beach gear upstairs is great.
