The Space:

Kick back and take in the incredible beach and Gulf views from your furnished balcony at this corner condo on the Panhandle. Slip on your provided pool bands and head downstairs for a swim in the shared, heated pool, work up a sweat in the fitness room, fire up one of the shared grills and enjoy a family cookout, or take a stroll out to the adjacent beach. You'll find something for everyone here at Sterling Sands!



Sterling Sands is conveniently located off Highway 98, within walking distance of several popular restaurants such as the Back Porch and the Pancakery. For groceries and supplies, there are plenty of options within a short drive including Target, Whole Foods, and Walmart. And when you've gotten your fill of the beach, head over to Big Kahunas Water & Adventure Park, just up the road.

Beach chair and umbrella rentals are available through our onsite provider, Sun, Sand & Sea. Located in the beach shack onsite.

This unit has a max occupancy, including children. These are rules set by the State of Florida and the State of Florida Fire Codes. The Fire Codes go by square footage and not the beds in a unit. If you arrive with more than the max occupancy listed, the HOA will not allow you to check-in and you will not be entitled to a refund.

Beautiful property. We had an issue right at the beginning with blown breakers in the unit, but after texting with Vacasa, it was resolved quickly. The rest of our stay was wonderful and relaxing. Washer is quite loud, but worked great. Balcony was huge, and we loved watching storms roll through at night and beach during the day. Would recommend!

Clean and great location.

Some essentials were missing like waste cans in bathroom and hot pads for oven, but nice layout and patio view of Gulf was very relaxing. Beach is spectacular and the inclusive beach service was the best! Everyday we went down to our chairs and umbrella saved with our name on them!

Wonderful condo

This condo was super clean! We loved the balcony view. The private beach access made all the difference. Perfect first family vacation for our newborn. Condo is larger than the pictures depict.

Beach getaway

I was impressed with the details sent through email that made me feel like I did not need to contact them during my stay. The rental was spacious and open. The short trip to the beach and pool was much appreciated by my kids. I also loved that the owners had a guest book for people to sign and games available for us to use.

Awesome Trip

Property was very nice , unfortunately i overlooked the renovation of the pool an hot tub but lucky would have it a nearby location allowed us to use theirs.Our girls trip flowed with no hang ups. i will most definitely rent this location again ..Thanks for a wonderful trip

Golden Girls Weekend

This trip was a 3 day get away for me and my girlies - the condo was perfect for this trip - location was excellent - the kitchen gave us the opportunity to fix light snacks - this sleeping arrangements were ideal -but - the balcony with the beach view was our favorite morning and night chill spot - Thanks

Perfect beach vacation

The property is in the perfect location, across the road from souvenir shops and places to eat and very convenient drive to the harbor. The condo was clean and nicely decorated and has easy access to pool and beach. The beach and pool were very clean and well maintained. There were only a few minor inconveniences, that did not hinder the wonderful time that we had, first one was the couch was broken and a little uncomfortable, but we weren't in the condo a lot so not a huge deal, the second being that the en suite bathroom needed water added to the toilet tank to flush completely, the 3rd being the 2 smaller chairs on the balcony were ripped. Those few small things were so small and we plan on making Destin an annual vacation!

Great view, good looking unit, needs some functional updates.

The view was great, the unit was pretty but we had some issue's. Check in was very "hands off" and we had some challenges getting questions answered upon our arrival. Didnt know we had to visit HOA office for parking pass and wristbands. We're smokers and felt we were ostracized by having to smoke at "the bus stop" on 98. We called it "working the corner". Theyre VERY STRICT about it. The unit has a leak at the sink. We parked the sponge next to the faucet, that collected the water. The fridge developed a leek, that appeared occasionally. The couch was pretty worn out and ha exposed partical board on the left bottom front. The jets in the soaker tub never worked. The front bedroom faces the street and the hallway is alwats illimunated....so was tge bedroom! The shutters didn't block the light. You need black out curtains in that room. Also we received our check out instructions from Vacasa when we were 2 hours diwn the road. Hope they forgive us for not stripping the beds! The beach and chair service was great. The pool was clean and comfortable.

Requires significant maintenance

The main living room ceiling was covered in dusty mold. The unit was uninhabitable for health reasons. We were a late arrival and contacted management and housekeeping immediately. We were told it was just dust and in need of maintaining, but a staff member would stop in the next morning. For lack of options, we spent the night. I have mold allergies and they were in high gear. No one should stay here until this is remedied. Maintenance came in the next morning and confirmed it was definitely not dust and we should be moved. Mold aside, housekeeping was subpar. Personal items were left in the unit. Lots of hair in the bathroom floor, thick dust on the master fan and greasy marks on the sliding doors. This unit is managed by Vacasa and they were responsible for our relocation. While the staff was incredibly polite, their available inventory was limited. They gave us options, but none as nice as the original unit. We were moved 20 minutes away to a unit that was dark like a cave with a tiny balcony and in need of repair. Not happy. They offered to refund our money, but we needed someplace to stay. Back to this unit...it was tase fully decorated with pretty art. There is a beautiful direct view of the ocean from the balcony and master bedroom. The kitchen is modern and nicely stocked. The sofa could be cleaned, but wasn’t awful. Chair service for two at the beach is included. The pool and hot tub was a bit crowded for our liking during the pandemic, but the unit itself was very nice. If the mold and housekeeping were fixed, this unit would be a true gem!
