Overview

About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6

This wonderfully decorated three-bedroom Sunriver vacation home is just waiting for your family vacation, holiday getaway, or quiet high desert retreat! Just about 15 miles south of Bend, Oregon, Sunriver is a family-friendly destination boasting over 35 miles of paved biking trails, a state-of-the-art Aquatic & Recreation Center (SHARC), a spa, holiday sleigh rides, ice skating, and world class golf courses.

When you step inside, you'll be greeted by an abundance of natural light streaming in from the many windows, as well as a pleasant Americana/Folk Art decorating scheme. The large open space downstairs is light and airy, with comfortable furnishings that will make everyone in your group feel right at home. In the living room and dining area, you'll find beautifully framed Sunriver Music Festival Posters hung up high on the walls, taking advantage of the tall ceilings.

After a day skiing at Mt. Bachelor or biking around, come back to your Sunriver home for a night of movies, everyone gathered around the TV on the cozy living room sofas. In addition to a DVD player and cable, there's also a VCR in case you want to bring old school video tapes from home. A large coffee table can hold snacks, drinks, and even board games or a puzzle.

An open kitchen and dining area feature a lovely wood-burning, river rock fireplace for cozy meal preparation and dinner feasts. The galley-style kitchen has a range/oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave - all you'll need for preparing everything from bowls of granola and fruit in the morning to a French-themed meal with coq au vin at night. There's even a coffee grinder for freshly ground beans in the morning.

Right off the dining table, sliding glass doors lead out to a patio for cookouts on the gas grill, sitting out in the afternoon sun, or even an after-dinner glass of port, everyone all bundled up against the chilly evening. In summer, you can sit outside and listen to the birds and in winter, the patio can still be enjoyed with mugs of hot cocoa and warm mittens.

On the main level, you'll find two bedrooms - one with a queen bed and one with two twins. Both have lovely quilts, comfortable beds, and nice accessories like reading lamps, bedside tables, and wooden dressers. Between the bedrooms is a downstairs laundry room, for keeping clothes clean and dry after days out exploring the area. A full bathroom with a shower/tub condo is also located on this floor.

The master suite and its king-size bed are located upstairs in the loft. With tall, vaulted ceilings, this luxurious area has a TV, a small sitting area, and a private bath with shower (no tub). It's a beautiful retreat for relaxing at the end of a fun Sunriver day! This home will comfortably sleep six guests - if extra space is needed, consider also booking nearby #30 Circle Four Cabin for an additional eight guests.

At only a mile away, SHARC is close by for swimming in both indoor and outdoor pools, a lazy river, outdoor hot tub, and even water slides. And when you stay at this home, six SHARC passes are included with your stay. Also an easy bike ride away, is the Village at Sunriver for dining and shopping, the stables for horseback riding, tennis courts, and one of two golf courses, Meadows and The Woodlands. There's even the Sage Springs Spa for a day filled with well-deserved pampering.

Sunriver also has a number of recreation partners, providing family-friendly excursions like whitewater rafting, mountain bike tours featuring a downhill trail past waterfalls, rock climbing at Smith Rock State Park, and fly fishing in one of the area's many rivers and streams.

Just outside Sunriver, Mt. Bachelor beckons in winter for downhill skiing and snowboarding, plus you'll find ample opportunities throughout the Deschutes National Forest for snowshoeing, as well as cross-country skiing. On your way back to Sunriver, stop in Bend for dinner at one of the many restaurants - shrimp and jambalaya at Zydeco Kitchen, middle eastern delicacies at Joolz, or burgers and pints of Bachelor Bitter at the Deschutes Brewery Public House.

With its abundance of amenities, nearby attractions, and things to do, this comfortable Sunriver vacation rental will make your time in the Oregon high desert both relaxing and memorable!

About Vacasa, OR - Central Oregon Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Very peaceful, clean and comfortable

 • 4 of 5

The place is great, clean, comfortable and quiet. The only reason for the 4 instead of a 5 star review is because if the lack of kitchen supplies. Most VRBO's I've stayed in come with some basic supplies. It comes with well stocked cabinets but could use some extras. The refrigerator was empty which sometimes is the case but rarely. I had to get salt, pepper, sugar, plastic, foil and other miner supplies. No paper or pens either. Pretty standard items. The master is an open loft with no door and open to the family room below. This didn't matter to me as I was there with just my son but I could see a couple having some issues with it. Minor details on a overall really nice place.

Great weekend getaway!

 • 4 of 5

We had a great time staying at the cabin. House had just about everything we needed and we loved having a small pool to access- would have liked to have known to bring chairs. The kitchen was missing some essential items for cooking, but we would stay again!
