Come and relax in the peaceful surroundings of rural western Colorado. Located 20 minutes from Grand Junction. Stay in the three bedroom, 4 bath home that sleeps a total of 9 people, two in each of the upstairs bedrooms, four in the downstairs bedroom (two queen beds), plus a day bed area for another person to sleep. Enjoy the morning sunshine beaming through the floor to ceiling windows as you breakfast at the dinette or on the outdoor patio.
Read a book in the sunroom while viewing the Grand Mesa National Forest Mountains, or glance out on a clear day and see the snow packed San Juan Mountains in a distance. Look to the west and see the Uncompagre Mountains. Better yet, bring a jeep, four wheeler, or 4 wheel drive vehicle and visit all these mountains within a few minutes of the home.
Watch the peaceful beauty of nature from the comfort of the living room chair while deer, pheasants, quail, bunny rabbits and domestic horses roam the 40 acre property. Or, enjoy the convenience of Dish Network television.
Maybe a hiking or snow shoeing day is on your agenda. If you want to get away and relax, or want an outdoor wonderland, not too far from the home, than this is the place for your next stay.
This is property will have a caretaker or owner on site to tend to the livestock, fields, yard work and flowers. They live in an apartment upstairs, separate from the house. You may see them working, they won't disturb you. Unless you want to be.
Internet service is available but highly unreliable. Using your Hot Spot phone service is a better option. Satellite service in this area is poor.
We love living in the rural area of Colorado and enjoy all the outdoors. When not enjoying this great home, we are horseback riding the mountains or RV'ing around the country.
Linda Weber purchased this house in 1988
This place was a piece of heaven the first time we saw it. It has everything an outdoor enthusiast wants. It's a great get-away to relax and enjoy the solitude of quiet reflection.
This property is close enough to Grand Junction, 20 minutes, to enjoy all the amenities of a large town, yet far enough away to experience rural life in the west.
We were visiting family in Grand Junction and needed a quiet place to get away. This ranch was beautiful with the view of the Mesa and surrounding area. My son got to help feed the horses on the ranch which made his week! The house has everything you would need and having a private bath for each bedroom makes it great for everyone! Loved our time here!
Absolutely stunning setting and views. House was clean, beautifully furnished and well equipped. House was large enough to be wheelchair friendly with a bedroom and full bath on the bottom floor including an entrance ramp. Just loved my stay their.
This is a beautiful property, which was built with painstaking detail in the woodwork, cabinetry and construction. It's a little like stepping back in time to the quiet, well-appointed countryside. Linda and Rick were wonderful hosts, and the kids loved playing in the yard.
Absolutely loved staying at Linda and Rick's house. We had 3 couples and it was perfect with the 3 bedrooms with their own private bath. Beautiful area with outstanding sunrises and sunsets. Linda and Rick are awesome - super friendly and very accommodating. Only wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back!!
My family and I had a wonderful time. There was more then enough room for us all.Being able to sit outside and view the mountains and watch how the weather moved was breathtaking. The kids had more fun seeing the horses and learning something new. I was glad Linda took the time to talk with the kids. We all have great memories to talk about for years to come. Most important thing was my son and his family was able to come out to the ranch and have great family time. Thank you Linda and Rick.
Our stay was amazing! The house was beautiful and the countryside mountain view was so relaxing! They went above and beyond to make our stay even more perfect. We were able to feed the horses and they even showed my daughter how to polish rocks (since shes a rock collector) and even let her pick a few from his own collection to keep as souvenirs. Would highly recommend! Hope we can make it back again someday!
From the front door step into an outdoor wonderland of hiking, biking, horse back riding, four wheeling, and jeeping, just a short drive away from the property. Hike the Grand Mesa trails, or drive to the Uncompagre for even more trails. Bring your horse and take a horse back ride into the Grand Mesa National Forest. Bring your four wheelers or jeep and drive the many trails that await on the Uncompagre National Forest. Or, just sit back and relax in the comfort of a quiet and peaceful rural setting where the nearest neighbor and main road is a quarter of a mile away. It's so quiet, you will hear a birds wings flap as they pass overhead. Really!
