About the host
Hosted by Tina H
Born in the ’70s and a proud University of Washington alum, I’m an art collector with a passion for history, exploring new cultures, and meeting people from all walks of life!
Why they chose this property
Travel has always been one of our greatest joys, and we rarely do it alone—we move as a pack, whether it’s family, close friends, or both. Our biggest challenge has always been finding a cozy, well‑equipped place with beautiful views that can comfortably host our group, sometimes as many as twenty people. That search became the foundation for choosing where to create our own gathering place.
Port Orchard turned out to be that hidden gem on the Puget Sound—calm waters, breathtaking sunsets, and a welcoming small‑town feel. The house fits the setting perfectly, with private waterfront access, wide‑open outdoor spaces, and inviting corners to relax and take in the scenery. It’s become our favorite place to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of the water together.

What makes this property unique
“Amazing” is the only word that captures this rare NO-BANK sandy beachfront home on Rich Passage. Elegant and timeless, yet perfectly open to the outdoors, offers a true waterfront retreat.
Step into a striking two-story entry, where an elegant iron railing frames a true conversation piece—an original 8-foot Multnomah sternwheeler ship’s wheel (circa 1912), complete with a certificate of authenticity. Historic naval lights (circa 1930), mounted along the walls, celebrate the home’s rich maritime heritage, adding timeless character and charm.
Comfort is fully considered, with a radiant heating and cooling system controlled by seven independent thermostats, allowing personalized temperatures throughout multiple zones.
The living room exemplifies craftsmanship and character, featuring a suspended Wineglass Wherry mounted on hand-built curved beams and a model airplane—distinctive touches that make this home truly unique.
A chef’s kitchen outfitted with high-end appliances—including a Sub-Zero refrigerator and double Wolf ovens—anchors the home, complemented by a cozy library, a dedicated pantry, and a full laundry room. The daylight basement is designed for entertainment, featuring a private movie theater, a full-size pool table, and a foosball table, all opening directly to a private patio and the beach.
Step onto the main deck and take in sweeping 270-degree waterfront views. Nautical charm abounds with a 45-foot flagpole from the Boeing Museum of Flight and a real ferry horn—you can even pull the rope and hear it in action! On occasion, you might spot a naval ship sailing by; for example, the USS Nimitz passed through on March 7, 2026.
