Pros: We stayed for just less than a week but enjoyed holidaying here so much we have decided to return later in the year (the same landlord and complex but a different apartment). The apartment is traditional in the best sense, but is well equipped and much of it tastefully modernised with plenty of space. Both spacious living room and main bedroom open to an attractive, quiet terraced area extending to the complex's very well looked after garden and the pool, which is a little larger than the norm and well kept. The attractive and quiet beach is only about 300 m away and very easily accessed and the roads in the neighbourhood are well maintained and normally quiet. Denia's town centre is between 1.5 and 2 Km away on a flat and quiet road with plenty of places to relax on the way and in the centre. The general atmosphere is more relaxed than in other seaside towns around this coast; while clearly a resort it appears to be occupied by more local and other Spanish people with the accent on family fun and relaxation rather than 'laddish' culture so typical of some other resorts. We hired a car and travelled to Valencia to see its 'Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències', an astonishing creation on the old river bed of an ultra-modern opera house and science centre, designed by Calatrava with other buildings of a similar complexity including an 'Agora', aquarium etc. We had a great time and plan to return later this year. The owner and the property manager could not have been more helpful.
