The space The space has three full levels, two fireplaces and fully equipped kitchen and multiple dining areas. Each room is meticulously designed to showcase its history and is decorated with hand selected antique furnishings. There is also a large formal dining room that can seat up to 12 guests. And at the end of your day's activities, there is always a back porch with rocking chairs and a sunset view that will welcome you home.
Silverbrook Farm is part of the original Pott’s Family Farm that extended for many acres and used to expand across most of the valley you’ll see throughout your stay. Although it has been remodeled and added on to over time, the original charm and feeling of the property is still wonderfully relevant. The property abounds with wildlife, peaceful gardens and rolling landscapes to enjoy. There is even a treehouse beneath the tall white oaks and a spring house that has been converted into a chapel and meditation room.
Guest access Throughout your stay, you will have access to all 3 levels of the original wings of the house with its own private entry. Attached to those wings is another wing which is our retirement home, It is locked so you have complete privacy. The advantatge is that we are mostly onsite to greet you and answer any questions. Please take advantage of the surroundings and feel free to explore the extensive gardens and grounds of the property. Additionally please respect the privacy of the tenant occupying the smokehouse cottage throughout your stay.
Other things to note A perfect place to get your family together to celebrate holidays. Imagine sitting around a large table, having cooked dinner in the fully equipped kitchen, with gas stove, 2 electric ovens, warming drawer and microwave. Lovely china and chargers, flatware and glassware to set that magical table. Or, if you want to have an elegant dinner party, our dining room can set up to 12 at the main table and an additional 8 at the smaller table.
