This development, known as Old Village Prestige, is built and furnished to a very high standard. It is situated in a very nice area in Vilamoura known as 'The Old Village'. The property is located beside Pinhal golf course and The Four Seasons, which is very popular with golfers and families alike. Within 'The Old Village' there are some very nice restaurants, snack/bars, Spar supermarket, bakery and some cosy pub\bars, Jakk's with live evening entertainment in Summer, most major sports on TV and a WIFI hotspot within The Old Village and the pool area. It is very close to Europe’s largest Marina with an abundance of restaurants, bars and shops. There are five 18 hole golf courses nearby, two beautiful beaches, various other sports and water sports/parks enjoyed by all ages!! The property comprises of a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, twin bedroom, living room with dining area. There is also a lovely balcony overlooking the private pool, to enjoy a glass of wine, and a staircase leading to a roof garden with lovely views, complete with sun lounger’s, table & chairs to watch the sun go down!

The apartment had everything in it - even tea bags, milk and some sweet treats when we arrived. It was spotless clean. The host was wonderful at replying to any queries very promptly. It was a walkable distance to the marina but also in a nice quiet area. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends and family. Thanks for the memories.

Fabulous penthouse

Our stay was a wonderful experience- so relaxing and everything was in the old village that you would need if you didn’t want to wander too far. The apartment had everything- it was so well equipped and Darina was a superb host ! The roof top terrace was amazing- the whole complex was spotless . Can’t recommend this stay highly enough - you won’t regret it- thanks for ever Darina x

Ferias em Vilamoura.

Este ano optamos por fazer parte das nossas férias no Algarve em Vilamoura, escolhemos um apartamento numa zona mais tranquila e encontramos em Old Village este apartamento da Darina que adoramos, a localização é ótima, o apartamento é muito bom, com tudo para nos podermos servir, bem decorado com ar condicionado( só uma pequena nota sobre este tema, Deve ser feito uma manutenção de limpeza nos aparelhos que estão no interior do apartamento), tem uma ótima varanda onde se pode disfrutar de excelentes refeições, e para completar a Darina é uma excelente pessoa, facilitou em tudo que podia, voltarei seguramente em breve.

Fantastic holiday

The apartment was amazing. Spotlessly clean and had everything and more that you need for a super stay. The communication from Darina was exceptional. We loved The Old Village and you really didn’t need to leave it as everything was on hand. A really chilled out holiday and we will definitely book again. Thank you Darina

Old Village

Good communication with owner and pleased with accurate description of apartments. Loved the roof terrace. Village itself clean and tidy but the walk to Vilamoura Marina from apartment more like 20-25 minutes not 15. Could have done with a map. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return,

We found a new haven

We have been to Vilamoura many times but this was the first time we had stayed in this apartment. It was ideal for the two of us - from the initial booking, the communication from the owner and the stay itself everything was spot-on. We have definitely found a new haven for when we return next.

Holiday in a pandemic

Fabulous apartment exactly as described with everything as described. Large balcony with roof terrace for sun worshipers or star gazers. Complex very attractive much better than other than other nearby apartments. Darina always responded quickly to any query or request. Will return and stay here again.

Um paraíso em Vilamoura

Foi uma experiência bastante agradável. O apartamento corresponde exatamente ao que constam nas fotos, estava bastante limpo, com todos os eletrodomésticos necessários para o dia-a dia. O apartamento está inserido num condomínio bastante agradável, bem localizado, calmo e seguro. A proprietária foi bastante simpática e disponível para qualquer dúvida. Esperamos conseguir voltar para o próximo ano pois foi sem dúvida uma escolha a repetir.

Stunning 1 bedroom apartment with plenty of room for 4 people. Fabulous balcony overlooking the pool and stunning roof terrace overlooking the whole of Vilamoura. The apartment had all the facilities that you could possibly require (washing machine, dish washer, microwave and many more). Really friendly owners who were on hand if required. Even arrange a late checkout as our flight wasn’t until the evening. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to come back.

Lovely accommodation, fabulous friendly hosts.

Lovely apartment with everything you could need for a fab stay. This was our third visit to the old village in Vilamoura and we will definitely return to this wonderful development. Davina our host was extremely helpful throughout and it was a real pleasure to get to meet you both albeit briefly on our last night, but thank you for everything, we had a really fantastic stay. Lovely apartment with everything you could need for a wonderful holiday, the only small negative was we found the beds very firm but that is down to person preference. We spent a lot of time on the roof top terrace and made use of the barbecue which was a real bonus, perhaps some cushions for the loungers would be the icing on the cake but it did not detract from our enjoyment. Thank you again, we made some great memories and hope to be back.

Fabulous

My husband and I have just returned from a great week's stay in this lovely property. The apartment was immaculate and has everything you could need for a great holiday. We used the rooftop terrace daily for sunbathing, which was excellent and private, and also made use of the lovely communal pool. The Old Village has some good restaurants and we ate there twice during our stay, we also used the tourist train which stops at the Four Seasons across the road to travel to the beach and marina. You could walk to the marina if it's not too hot and also a taxi is less than €5, so it is ideally situated. Darina was a pleasure to deal with, nothing was a trouble to her and she responded to my emails very quickly. All in all an excellent place to stay and would certainly recommend it.

Excellent location

Brilliant holiday, excellent apartment, watched 4 days of British Open in apartment with Sky Sports and A/C. Cant recommend enough. 15 minute leisurely walk to marina. Darina & Jim are brilliant hosts, who couldn't do enough. Will definitely return again and again

Amazing!

A fabulous apartment, we've stayed in the Old Village for 10 years and this is the best apartment we have found. Has everything you need and is very comfortable. Darina can't can't do enough for you and makes the stay effortless, nothings too much trouble! Booked again for next year love it.

Perfect Winter Break

We have had a perfect eight night winter break (January/Feb) in Darina & Jim’s apartment. The apartment has everything you need for a relaxing warm and comfortable stay. As stated in previous reviews Darina & Jim are on hand if you need them and Darina was excellent to book with, answered all my e-mails very quickly. After a nice walk around the marina or a walk along the front to Quateira we enjoyed the private roof terrace for an extra dose of winter sun. We even booked a couple of trips through the ‘Tourist information’ office on site which was helpful. As it was winter not all the facilities were open in the Old Village, but the supermarket and O’Café bar and Rendezvous restaurant were open and for us this was adequate. However after a nice day out we enjoyed eating in a couple of times and the television has all the cable channels you need. We would not hesitate in recommending to family and friends and we hope to return ourselves in the future. We wish you all the best and hope you have a great 2017 season.

Perfect apartment in a beautiful Location

We have just returned from a fantastic week staying in this perfect apartment on Old Village. The apartment is on the top floor of a block of 3 with additional private access to a large roof terrace with sun loungers and table and chairs which is great for a laid back breakfast. There is also a bbq for alfresco dining. The apartment has everything that you need and is immaculate. It is extremely secure with access to a private pool for residents of Prestige apartments only. Darina who is the owner has to be the nicest person we have rented from. Despite my numerous questions she responded quickly and even offered to get some provisions from the supermarket as we had a late arrival. Darina lives across from the apartment and is always on hand if you need her. Darina organised our transfers and they were excellent. Old Village is a community with several pools, a supermarket and a number of restaurants including a cafe bar. It is a short 15 minute stroll down to the Marina and is less than 30 minutes from Faro airport. We would be very happy to recommend the apartment to friends and relatives and look forward to returning. Thank you Darine you made our stay extremely comfortable.

Wonderful apartment in the old village

We have just arrived back from a wonderful holiday at The Old Village. The apartment is modern, very clean and spacious. Huge balcony over looking the pool with the sun on it in the afternoon. Also loved the roof terrace where you can have a BBQ. The owner is so helpful and really made our holiday easy. The old village complex itself is very beautiful, well kept gardens and pretty town houses to walk round with about 5 restaurants to choose from,catering for all tastes. Some restaurants offered take away food which was great for eating in. There was also a shop onsite. So easy with children. we have a 4 year old and she loved the pool. We will definitely be returning very soon.

Amazing place to stay

Me and my partner spent a lovely week here recently. Having read the previous reviews and deciding to book I was not disappointed!! Darina was so helpful through the booking, always replying to my many questions very quickly!!! A really lovely place to stay, well equipped and extremely clean & comfortable. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday in lovely surroundings then this is the place for you!! The added bonus of your own roof terrace with bbq is ideal if fancy a quiet night in and a real suntrap from morning to night. The marina and beach (both lovely) are in easy walking distance or you can always get the little train if you are feeling lazy.. We can't wait to return next year, thank you Darina for a lovely stay!!

A Delightful Apartment in an ideal location !!

This really is a lovely apartment set in an ideal location. It is very spacious with all mod cons, a lovely balcony over looking the swimming pool, and a large roof terrace with views of the whole village inc the golf course, Vilamoura and the sea. It is a 15 minute walk from the Marina with its many bars and restaurants and 20 minute walk to the beach. We felt so relaxed and made welcome by the owner it was a very enjoyable stay and we will definitely be returning in the not too distant future !!!

Fantastic Stay!

Where do I start! Apartment - Ideal location in the old village prestige with numerous bars and restaurants within literally seconds of walking. The old village is like a little quaint french village! Apartment itself is gorgeous, all mod cons and the rooftop with BBQ is ideal for the sunny evenings. Pool is lovely and clean, quiet and tranquil. The marina is a 10 min stroll away were there is hundreds of restaurants and bars. Great atmosphere any time of day or night for family's or couples. Taxi back is €3.90, handy after a few sherries. I couldn't recommend Darina enough. One of the nicest people I have ever rented an apartment from for a holiday. Makes you feel very comfortable and is always at the end if the phone should something be a miss. Jim from Algarve Hire also is 100%, again, always only a call away. This is my second time renting from Darina and will not be the last! You will not regret if u rent from Darina!
