The desert landscaping around the building is lovely. Location is great: private, quiet & near excellent restaurants & services. The host was very helpful & interested in our comfort & enjoyment.

Wonderful Casita in Tucson

  • 5 of 5

We just loved this property! I can't say enough how hospitable the owner was. The home was perfect for the two of us. Could sleep 4 though. It was clean and had every amenity that one would need. The backyard and patio were my favorite! Loved waking every morning to the beauty and the birds. Very close to a variety of things to do. We did a day trip every day...whether hiking....a wonderful Desert Museum, shopped in Tubac, jazz festival and many restaurants to try. I'd highly recommend it and love to go back!

Wonderful Home!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Patti and Larry's home for 7 nights. It was just great. Very nicely furnished. Kitchen had everything we needed. Very spacious - could have stayed here very comfortably for a long time! You feel like you are in the desert although just a short drive from all the needed amenities. Back yard was just a real treat. Would highly recommend this home to anyone. Thank you! Great retreat for first time snow birds

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed your lovely guest house for 2 months, Jan. And Feb. 2017. It was a perfect getaway for us and we enjoyed its central location to many of Tucson's attractions. We were greeted with a bottle of wine in our first day, and an information packet loaded with brochures, flyers of things to do. The guest house was well equipped with everything we needed, including beach towels, multiple sets of linens for the bed. We took frequent hikes near the guest house and enjoyed seeing the desert colors emerge. While we were there we saw many of the cacti, trees and plants leaf out and bloom. Local attractions included hiking at Catalina State Park, Sabino Canyon, Pichacho Peak. A must is the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Pima Space and Air Museum, Tubac, Bisbee, Tohano Chul Park and Lake Patagonia. Tucson has abundant restaurants and some of our favorites included: Truland Buger and Greens, El Charo, Guadalajara Grill, Dove Mt. Brewing Company ( has a great lunch menu). We enjoyed the peaceful setting and watching the many birds and other wildlife visit our back yard. The sunsets were spectacular! We enjoyed the weekly Farmers Market in Oro Valley, and even took in a Broadway Musical at the U of A campus. All in all this was a wonderful place to spend a couple of months away from the winter cold as first time snow birds. We highly recommend it as a cozy, home away from home.
