Or, a quick jaunt to the South Shore Marina for burgers or burritos will save you some cooking time!
Your fish won't be the only thing hooked at the H2O; one visit will have you wanting to come back for more!
We are from the Modesto area and have spent numerous summers on Tulloch Lake. We were fortunate to have had the opportunity to purchase a waterfront home and found it to be so wonderful that we wanted to share it with others. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Sue purchased this house in 2013
Summers on South Shore are fun in the sun for all ages! Leave your boat parked at your own dock slip in the backyard. Watch the kids swim from in the private cove area from the deck of the house. BBQ and enjoy the amazing views. Spend your evenings sipping a cocktail lakeside on our beautiful patio with fire feature.
Fall & Winter stays are amazing! Quiet & serene, just the sounds of nature. Rainstorms on the lake are an experience to be treasured. Sunsets are vibrant colors of pinks and oranges, so beautiful! Relax and renew your spirit with a stay in the winter months. Sip wine, enjoy the electric fireplace, bask in the awe of the season, or spend a day fishing from your backyard, along the shoreline. Although water levels are lower in the winter, the lake is still accessible from our backyard.
We like South Shore because of it's serenity in comparison to the busy traffic of North Shore. The campground and marina are just a quick boat ride, or short 5 minute drive from the house; allowing you to pickup supplies, hang out at their bar, or grab a burger.
And, being at South Shore is a much shorter drive when coming in from the central valley.
My sweetheart and i had the pleasure of spending a few nights and days at the H20 bungalow for our vacation/anniversary,what a wonderful place.
its down at the south end of the lake, much quieter then other areas and less boat traffic, but just a short ride to marina for bait or other items
house is clean, well equipped, comfortable, private, quite. all around nice.great dock for the boat, and good fishing from there too. nice accessible lake front area just a few steps away for swimming and playing. the fish were swimming right up to us .
i could go on and on about how great this place is but words can not describe it well, we looked at the pictures before arriving but there is nothing like experiencing in person .
we have stayed at many rentals over the years, this was one of the best.
we give it the following ratings in no particular order 1-10 10 being best

We stayed here with another family for an extended weekend and had such a great time. The location is at the far end of the lake, but the cove was perfect for fishing & swimming. Our kids (age 7 & 9) were completely entertained all weekend, we actually ended up spending less time on the boat because hanging out on the dock in front of the house was so relaxing and convenient. We ate at Drifters Marina (10 minute boat ride), good food, it was nice to sit outside watching the boats. This was our first time on this lake and we're looking forward to coming back!
This is the second time we have rented the H2O bungalow. Home is everything you would need and want for a lake vacation. Clean and comfortable inside and out. The upper deck has amazing views. We love the location on south end of the lake, a little more private and peaceful. We brought 2 Wave Runners, 2 kayaks, and a large blowup island, so having a dock in a cove is perfect for us. From the dock, out of the cove, to open water, in just a minute. Owner, Sue, makes the rental process super easy. We love this place and will be back again! Thanks again Sue, for another wonderful lake trip
I have rented a bunch of houses on Lake Tulloch but I have to say H2O Bungalow has to be the #1 rental so far. The house is so nicely decorated, everything is so clean and they provided everything you could possibly need for a rental. They even have a bunch of old games that my kids were so into they actually put away their phones and iPads. If you have small children or a dog the property is perfect. They have gates installed all around the property to protect kids/pets from going down to the water unsupervised. The upstairs deck is the perfect place for coffee in the morning or cocktails/dinner at night. The lower patio area has a killer fire pit and more hang out space. The kids love the dock because they can walk right down to the water and jump in, go fishing and since it is slow water in front of the house they can float out or go out on the paddle boards. We have come in the summer and winter because it is just so relaxing. The owners are a pleasure to work with and make everything so easy.
This is a very, very clean home!!! We weren't sure what to expect because of other places we have rented. We were extremely pleased with everything. All 3 of my teenage daughters loved it too (and it's not easy to please teen girls lol). There is a lot to do nearby. We went in to Sonora one day, Black Oak Casino another day and planned to go up to Yosemite but stayed on the late for the rest of the week. The view is gorgeous! It's not big but it has a lot of heart, and it's CLEAN (did I say that?). We will definitely return to this cozy treasure at Tulloch!!
This place is great. VIEWS are wonderful, especially sunsets. Perfectly clean and well stocked with all that you need. Beds were comfortable, nice fluffy bath towels...Perfect layout! Don't let the square footage scare you, (we were 2 adults and 4 teen boys) there is more than enough room for 6 to eat, watch movies, play games or do whatever very comfortably. The outside has a large deck off the house and two lower patios all with awesome views. The south end location is great as well, enough activity without having too much boat traffic (perfect for the nervous mother that I am). The boys appreciated that it is just a minute from the dock, out of the cove, to fast water.
Owner, Sue, made the rental process easy and was quick to respond to my questions. Thank you, Sue. We had a wonderful time and will be back!
One mile to campground & marina, 20 minutes to Oakdale, 30 minutes to Jamestown/Sonora for antiques, shopping, restaurants. 40 minutes to Black Oak Casino. Golf at Saddlecreek in Copperopolis. Poker Flat Resort & Marina is a short boat ride, or 30 minute car ride to North Shore.
