Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Privacy with stunning views perfectly describes this home. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, quality chairs for reading or relaxing ... the owner lives nearby and is accessible if needed. We really enjoyed our stay it was exactly what we wanted ... including the coyotes at night and the gorgeous sunsets on the patio. We fell in love with Tucson! Lyne and Claude from Gatineau, Québec, Canada. February 2017.

Beautiful SW Home

  • 5 of 5

We chose this home for a vacation due to its location close to my daughter. It is located on the east side of Tucson in an area where homes are located on 1 acre+ lots, so you have privacy (be prepared for non-paved access, but can easily get to property even with standard car). The house is very well-maintained and the owner provided quick responses to our questions. We had three small children and three adults and there was ample room for sleeping arrangements and day-to-day activities. You have relatively close access to grocery stores and some restaurants. Also close access to McDonald park for children. There is quick access to the main arterials that take you to into the city. This house is everything you would want for a more isolated, but comfortable stay in the desert SW!

Quiet Retreat in the Desert

  • 5 of 5

Traveling with my dad and sister, I was looking to find a comfortable and beautiful place to stay during our visit to Tucson where we could be near family and enjoy the desert surroundings. We so much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful rental home- clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated.

In particular, we enjoyed being in the less hectic part of town and yet were only minutes away from Sabino Canyon, the entrance road to Mt Lemmon, and other well-known Tucson destinations, as well as stores, restaurants. and more…

Comfort is the key word for this rental - very comfortable beds, leather living room recliners, cushioned chairs on the outdoor porch, and a well-appointed kitchen with lots of counter space to prepare and serve. The drive-in garage proved to be an unexpected advantage – easy to access and kept the car cool during hot days.

The back veranda area is a nice place for early morning coffee with a view and has a full table to dine outdoors as well. Also, the scenery to the north of the house is especially beautiful - we grabbed a lawn chair and some folding chairs in the morning to enjoy the view and have the shade of the house as the temperatures rose.

Although we had a very low clearance vehicle, we were able to manage the short distance on the dirt road without a problem by driving slowly. I think in the rainy season, I might opt for a vehicle with higher clearance but I am sure the owner, Connie, could guide you with any questions. We arrived at night, which made it a bit more challenging to locate the home but were able to locate it with the directions provided to us. Connie recommended that we would enjoy using bottled water, which we did but enjoyed the tap water until we were able to make purchase of water and ice for our stay.

We definitely recommend this rental and would rent again.

A Very Nice Stay .. February 2016

  • 5 of 5

A very nice, spacious, clean home in East Tucson that had marvelously comfortable beds and a responsive owner! We had a couple of questions and Connie was very timely in reaponding. The location worked very well for us as we wanted to focus on the East side of town"s hiking and scenary. The home was very well equipped for us. Two friends joined us at the end of our rental and the layout worked great for all of us. Access to the property was okay for us but very low clearance vehicles would be challenged on quite a bit of the gravel road over the last mile or so leading to the property. We would stay here again.

Beautiful desert getaway

  • 5 of 5

This desert house with beautiful views of the surrounding mountain ranges and city views was private and comfortable. There was plenty of room for our family and visitors. It is within close vicinity to many great hiking trails and good mexican food. The house is clean with everything you need for a home away from home. We enjoyed our stay and it met all our expectations. Thanks Connie!

A wonderful home in a natural setting

  • 5 of 5

We spent a month in this wonderful house on a hill with great views of mountains and desert in all directions. There was so much to like:

The owner has done a great job provisioning the home so you won't have to rush out to go shopping as soon as you arrive. We had starter bath and laundry soaps, a nice selection of spices, and baskets of toiletries in both bathrooms. There are enough dishes, pots and pans, towels, etc. If you've done a lot of renting of vacation homes, you can appreciate how nice this is!!

The back porch is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the desert and mountain views, and you may catch a glimpse of a coyote too! We saw lots of birds every day. In the wash below cactus flowers bloomed.

Everything works. The air conditioning is strong, as is the heat. The washer and dryer are new. The stove and refrigerator are good also.

There is a short drive on a gravel road off of Tanque Verde but we and our guests did not find this to be a problem, even with our Toyota minivan.

Connie, the owner is the best vacation property owner we've ever dealt with, and we've been renting these properties for a long time. She really is concerned about pleasing her guests, and at the same time, handles the business side well. And the fact that she lives nearby and responds quickly is something we greatly appreciated.

We're looking forward to returning here next year!
