Lovely historic home with modern comfort.

  • 5 of 5

We had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful home and can honestly say it was the first time we've ever checked into a Suite Hotel or VRBO where we didn't feel the need to immediately clean the kitchen and sanitize the dinnerware. This home was absolutely spotless and the updated kitchen was fully equipped for ease of entertaining.

Four wonderfully appointed bedrooms, two touting king beds. Beautiful windows in each room and a sun porch with a series of french doors southernly equipped with rocking chairs. Nice, green backyard with outdoor deck, ample seating and gas grill.

Thank goodness this historic home has been updated without loosing the character of this stately residence! Simply, beautiful.

Thanksgiving in WSS

  • 4 of 5

House was so pretty and well appointed. We all loved it. The beautiful xmas tree really got me in the mood for the holidays. Bedrooms were beautifully decorated. Hard wood floors throughout were so pretty. A lot of the furniture and flooring seemed new and we wondered if the flood affected this wonderful property. If so, you did a great job with the renovation work. wonderful. We loved the upgraded kitchen although did not love the motion sensor faucet, at all. Also some complaints about mattress in front room (not the biggest front room) being too soft.) House was very clean!

Extras such as water, juice, condiments, even biscuits were greatly appreciated and the kitchen had everything we needed. Location was great in middle of town and close to Greenbrier which we enjoyed. All in all a wonderful home for thanksgiving with family. Would be great if fireplace worked but not a big deal. Thanks very much! and happy holidays!

Comfortable and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a great family weekend as we gathered for the wedding of a dear friend. Wanting to avoid staying at a local hotel, I searched for a rental home so we could max our time together. The Heritage House turned out to be a great option for us. It was spotlessly clean inside with every amenity we needed. Had I wanted to cook in for the weekend, the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds were very comfortable, too. I wish we had more than two nights to enjoy the home and the surrounding town, so we'll just have to come back for a future visit. We walked to the 50 East restaurant for lunch and then sampled cupcakes at the bakery nearby. This home is a great place to stay to discover and enjoy the Greenbrier valley's restaurants and shops. A short ride to the Greenbrier and Lewisburg. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there and the owners are very good at communicating with you to make sure checkin goes well.

Clean, spacious and beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

We were impressed with the cleanliness of the property and the thoughtfulness of the owner making sure that the fridge and cupboards was stocked with drinks and other necessities which would otherwise have to be brought.

The area is beautiful and everyone we met was unfailingly friendly and helpful.

We thought we were taking a bit of a chance coming to West Virginia to cycle, but instead found an undiscovered cycling paradise with courteous drivers that we will recommend to all of our friends!
