The Heritage House built in 1912 is located approximately half a mile from the historic Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV.
This vintage two story home offers the charm of an older home and the feel of a bed and breakfast while providing the comforts of central heat and air conditioning along with Dish Network with TVs in all the bedrooms as well as in the living room. To accommodate the technology needs of our guests, we are connected to Wi-Fi.
Staying in our house? Take advantage of all the activities at the Greenbrier Resort! No you don't have to be a guest. Just call the Greenbrier and pre-book all your activities. It is recommended to pre-book all activities. The Pool and Casino are excluded and for guests only.
For business retreats, family vacations, a short getaway weekend or for holiday gatherings, you and your coworkers, friends or family will delight in staying here to have the experience of home living while having four bedrooms and an extra sitting room to accommodate extended family or friends. There is a full bath on each floor. The upstairs bath has both a shower and a tub and sink with a nearby private room for the toilet. Each tastefully decorated room has its own unique charm.
A fully equipped kitchen will provide the means for your own meal preparation. The separate dining room has a beautiful full length table that easily accommodates eight for dinner and can also function as a conference table for group meetings.
The property located on the corner of Big Draft and Patterson provides a spacious yard and deck for outdoor entertaining. A fully equipped grill allows for extending culinary experiences to the out of doors.
There are a few Restaurants within walking distance: 50 East, an American bistro featuring a full menu, full bar and impressive wine list. Big Draft Brewery is a microbrewery that offers excellent food and live entertainment with outdoor and indoor seating. Road Hogs Barbecue is perfect for pulled pork, chicken or beef cravings!
There is a public pool, public tennis courts, a basketball court, and a playground within walking distance of the house. Bring your racquets or basketball to enjoy!

The Resort entrance, located approximately one-half mile away from Heritage House, is the gateway to opportunities for visitors not registered at the Greenbrier. Visitors may enjoy dining, shopping, and visiting the spa. To plan your visit to the resort, call in advance to get up-to-date information regarding reservation requirements in order to assure a pleasurable experience. Advance reservations are definitely required for the ninety minute Bunker Tour and are currently priced at $31.80.

Outdoor Adventures:
The Greenbrier River Trail is a 78-mile long rail trail that provides bicycling, backpacking, cross country skiing, and horseback riding. Following the trail is the Greenbrier River. This can also provide for boating and fishing while enjoying the beautiful surroundings that nature has to offer. If you like both then make sure you stay here during the Greenbrier River Race in late April. This mini triathlon provides a 3 mile run, 4 mile paddle in a kayak, and a 10 mile ride on a bike.
Lake Sherwood Recreational Area (30 minute drive) which is a part of the Monongahela National Forest can add extraordinary scenery and memorable moments to the trip. Visitors to this beautiful place will enjoy breathtaking vistas, peaceful country roads, hiking, gently flowing streams, lakes and a beach with swimming access. Cost to enter is just $5 per car. Picnic tables with charcoal Grills. Paddle boats are available to rent. Fishing boats are allowed
Snowshoe Mountain Resort can provide fun entertainment by skiing down a mountain or in the spring and summer outdoor recreational opportunities in the mountains and lake on the mountain.
The Cass Scenic Railroad provides an excellent trip on a coal powered steam engine to the top of Bald Knob and on a clear day you can see for miles around. Bald Knob is the highest summit of Back Allegheny Mountain and is part of Cass Scenic Railroad State Park. At an altitude of 4,843 feet (1,476 m) above sea level, Bald Knob is the third-highest point in West Virginia and the Allegheny Mountains. This trip will allow for the beauty of West Virginia to be explored.
Do not forget to take a scenic drive over the mountains on the Highland Scenic Highway. This is perfect for motorcyclists or those who like to stop at beautiful scenic outlooks that will take your breath away. This national forest scenic byway will take you from Richwood to U.S. Route 219, seven miles north of Marlinton. The Highway follows State Route 39/55 for 21 miles from Richwood to the Cranberry Mountain Visitor Center. It then turns onto State Route 150 for the 22 mile Parkway section and rises from an elevation of 2,300 feet to over 4,500 feet.
One can also find time to experience backpacking trips or day hiking on the wondrous Cranberry Glades, the largest bog in WV. A unique exotic ecosystem on 750 acres is home to 60 unique plant species. Early October is the best time to take hikes. The orange, reds, and yellows will explode over the mountain tops.
Lewisburg – A Historical Town
Just six miles west is Lewisburg, a WV certified arts community and national register historic district. This small town was named the Coolest Small Town in a Budget National Travel magazine. The buildings in this quaint town have weathered one of the most important wars in this country’s history, the Civil War. The shopping and dining also provides a small town atmosphere while providing arts and culture to the community.

Fell in love with the property the first time we saw it! Built in 1912 the house is over 100 years old and full of charm and history. Within walking distance to downtown and Greenbrier Resort. Large yard for the family and plenty of room for the kids to play!
What makes this property unique
The original jail from White Sulphur Springs sits on the backside of the property. Love dining at 50 east which is two blocks away. Enjoy all the amenities of the Greenbrier Resort during your stay! Enjoy the fire pit in the back yard before heading to bed.
