About David Nash

Hi I have been living in the Beautiful South Okanagan since 2003 and purchased this beautiful home over looking the Okanagan lake in 2013 and feel it is a pleasure to meet People from all over the World that choose my Vacation Rental, Hilltop Retreat as there choice as I take great pride in my Home.

David Nash purchased this chateau / country house in 2013

Why David Nash chose Penticton

This home is located at the top of Carmi Road and is a very quiet location after a day of sight seeing in and around Penticton.

I still can't believe the views I have on one of the Four decks. You can see right up to Peachland

Each time I come home I see wild life.Today I saw a Moose. And of course the nicest weather in all of Canada as the Sun sets on the very large West facing deck.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

Spectacular views of Penticton, Apex Mountain,North to Peachland, BC.Having my own water supply is a great benefit that People truly appreciate.I can arrange to have your own personal Wine tour if you would like which is very negotiable in the Wine industry having her Level 3 in the field of the making Wine

Truly Quiet and Tranquil week

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at David's property for 7 days, at the end of June 2017. We were 5 adults + 2 dogs. We had breakfast and dinner at home every day.

The drive up to his place was spectacular and jaw dropping. It is uphill and a winding road, but can easily be done with any type of vehicle. We enjoyed day trips to the surrounding areas, including Kelowna / Westbank / Peachland, Summerland, Penticton / Naramata, Ok Falls / Oliver / Osooyoos, which are all 1.5 hour drive or less from this centrally located property.

The house feels big, with it's vaulted ceiling and open concept layout. Every room has it's own private balcony in addition to the main deck facing the amazing views of Penticton, mountains and Okanagan Lake. Also plenty of bathrooms for everyone, washer & dryer and a well equipped kitchen.

Located close to the end of the main road, this property gets low to no traffic. It his truly peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed evening walks around the area, where we could access different views of Skaha + Okanagan Lake. Being so high up on the mountain, also means a few degrees less hot, in the evening and mornings. There are multiple fans in the house and curtains to block out sun.

David is an amazing host, always ready and willing to answer questions and come by if needed. He is very lucky to own a beautiful home like this one. Thanks for the stay, and rest assured we will spread the word here in Calgary

Perfect retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely perfect home for a family get together or a quiet retreat with friends. David's home is beautiful, well maintained, fully stocked, clean and easy to access. A 20 minute drive (up a rather steep hill) from downtown made it the perfect close-to-services getaway. David is the perfect host and he was always available for questions. On top of everything, the home features million dollar views! Just outstanding! We can't wait for our next stay at David's Hilltop Retreat.

Great family getaway!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time at David's property. The house is well maintained, and provided lots of space for our family of two adults, two teenagers and a large dog to spread out.

We loved the huge deck and if the forest fire smoke would have cleared, I'm sure the view would have been amazing. We found the drive down the mountain into town to be no problem. We spent our days at the beach, and our evenings on the deck.

The house easily stayed cool with the little private decks and ceiling fans in each bedroom. The beds were comfy and we all slept great.

My only critique would be the lack of kitchen staples such as tinfoil or saran wrap. We had to add those to our shopping list! Other than that it was great!

This home is truly a beauty.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and our 2 kids (2&7) stayed for a week - it had all the comforts of home and was perfect for our family. The house and views from all 4 decks are simply breathtaking. While yes, a windy / curvy road up to the house - it was easily driveable with our van. David was a lovely host, even checking in mid stay to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. The kids loved watching the fish in the pond and we enjoyed the large deck in the evenings to play cards and watch the sun set. Would highly recommend to any one looking for a beautiful place !

A little piece of heaven

  • 5 of 5

Dave met us at the property and made us feel comfortable immediately. The house is clean, modern and fully stocked with everything one could imagine. It is high above Penticton providing amazing day and night views. It is a great contrast to the craziness of the beach and city below, peaceful, quiet and relaxing. The yard is large and our dog had more than enough room to explore. Overall, we highly recommend this property and we plan to be back next year ourselves, for two weeks instead of one! Thanks again, it was wonderful.

A party of 6 stayed at the Hilltop Retreat and what a great Canada day long weekend it was! Awesome scenery, David is very responsive and there is beautiful hiking trails within walking distance. Good location for both Penticton and Kelowna day trips.
