Wonderful week

This was our third year at Villa de la Playa and the week was flawless. The property is comfortable and well managed. Every aspect went to perfection. Celebrated Father's Day and several birthdays. A great way to get the family together. Hat's off to Danielle for being responsive and professional.

Great stay!

Awesome house - especially for a group or family - in a fantastic location. Pictures don’t do it full justice - tons of space both indoors and outdoors. Check in process was very easy and we had no issues at all. Would definitely stay again!

Memorial Day Weekend Trip

Spent 3 nights here over Memorial Day weekend and it was a blast. Perfect location to beach and walking distance to the restaurants/bars around Dewey. One change would be to have bed sheets and towels provided for the stay.

Very relaxing stay close to the beach

We very much enjoyed our stay. The layout worked well for accommodating multiple couples with bedrooms and individual bathrooms -- as well as nice spacious common areas. We loved being so close to the beach, where we walked, tossed a frisbee and admired the view. We hope to return soon!

Great place for multiple families

We had a great stay. The house is beautiful, clean, and large enough to accomodate multiple families. We loved the outdoor spaces and how close it was to the beach. We had a small issue with the upstairs air condition but the property manager was able to help remedy the issue by the next morning. Highly recommend. We would love to return.

Christmas at Dewey Beach

Our family spent Christmas at this wonderful property. Best house ever. Layout was great and it was in great condition. Was decorated beautifully. They even decorated it for Christmas for us. Steps away from Main Street and the beach. Could not have asked for better. Looking forward to coming back!

Fantasti!

This place is wonderful! Location made nearly everything walking distance. Lovely new renovations. The pool was a welcome respite from the soaring heat. The home has been very well maintained. Being pet friendly allowed us to be with our fur babies on vacay: absolutely loved that! A repeat for sure!

Long weekend family getaway

My spouse said he would come back, and he’s only said that about one other rental, ever. This home has accommodations for the entire family without feeling crowded. The layout provides plenty of spots for large and small groups, and the backyard pool is an outstanding bonus. The location can’t be beat, about 200 yards to the sand, and walking distance to nightlife, dining, and the boardwalk. It is very well equipped with pool and beach gear, kitchen equipment, etc. Driveway parking is a little tight, and be aware there’s competition for street parking on the block.
Response from VrboOwner on Aug 20, 2026
Hi Joanne, Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful review. We’re thrilled to hear that your spouse would return — that’s one of the highest compliments we can receive! I’m so glad the home’s layout, pool, and location worked so well for your family, and that you found it well-equipped for both comfort and fun. We also appreciate your note on the parking. While the driveway can be snug and the street parking competitive at times, your feedback helps us better prepare future guests so they can plan accordingly. We hope we’ll have the pleasure of welcoming you back again soon for another memorable stay! Danielle Marenco Director of Operations & Guest Experience Luxury Villas by the Sea, LLC.

Lots of pool time!

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with a week at this amazing home with our 3 kids, their spouses and 4 grands. The home was better than we imagined. Lots of room for people to spread out. The pool was the best. Very well designed for little ones. One end was steps from side to side, and there was a shallow ledge that circled the whole pool. Lots of outdoor space. Would highly recommend

Amazing home in an excellent location with highly responsive property management support. My husband said he would come back, (and he’s only done that one other time in our many years of using VRBO and other rental apps).Lots of conversation spaces, hang outs, deck chairs, etc. Rooms with twin bunk beds are definitely for smaller people. I would not recommend trying to pile in full-sized kids/ young adults. As with all of Delaware, bring something to ward off mosquitoes early and late in the day.
