This newly renovated home is the ideal spot for your next family reunion or work retreat, as its nine bedrooms and oceanfront location are sure to appease just about every guest! The massive upper-deck provides endless ocean views, and you can catch glimpses of the great Gray Whales while enjoying an afternoon BBQ with close friends and family.

You'll be steps away from the sandy shore, where the kids will love gathering seashells or jumping over the waves. You can also wander over to Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area and tour the lighthouse or experience the wildlife of the tide pools. Though the Oregon Coast Aquarium and the Rogue Ales headquarters are also a must see!

You may at first get lost in this 6,000 square-foot home (recently renovated in March 2015), but soon you'll be able to enjoy each unique space throughout this house. The formal living room has a fireplace, a comfy sectional sofa, and a beautiful all white baby grand piano. You'll also have ocean views through the French doors.

The dining room offers even more 180-degree views of the water, a wood-burning oven, and a long table with room for everyone to gather at dinner time. The group's chef will feel spoiled by this immaculate kitchen - complete with stainless steel appliances, marble countertops, and numerous gadgets to make meal prep simple and efficient. In addition, you'll find another full kitchen on the second level.

For a fun movie night, gather everyone into the family room - complete with soft leather furniture, a table for playing games, and a flat screen TV equipped with cable and a DVD player. This room also leads out to the outdoor patio area.

When it's time to rest after a long day on the beach, up to 18 guests will each find a comfortable space to sleep. Starting with the crow's nest, with perhaps the best views in the house, you'll find a couch that turns into a sofa bed (located on the main level). You'll also have seven more spacious bedrooms (five on the main level and two downstairs) plus a separate house next door that has one bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a bathroom and a full kitchen.

In addition, this home has two sofa beds, four full baths, two half-baths, a laundry room with a washer and dryer, WiFi, and an outdoor hot tub. You're also welcome to bring up to two family dogs for a small nightly fee.

When you're not lounging on the beach, you'll also have access to a private fishing/crabbing dock with a cleaning and cooking station. With so much to do, and so much space, you and your group can easily spread out each day while still being able to gather together for meals or game nights. This Newport estate has everything you've been looking for in a beach rental, and then some!

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s familys summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Beautiful view - but property not elegant and "estate-like" as portrayed

  • 2 of 5

My four siblings and I - along with our spouses - rented this property for our annual get-together. The view was fabulous and there were enough bedrooms and bathrooms for the 5 of us couples. The hot tub was nice and seemed in working order.

However, the property - although it looks like some things have been replaced/painted a bit, - we all felt it was not even close to what was expected given the descriptions and for what we felt was a very high rental rate. We have rented a number of properties over the years and feel that we are reasonable in our expectations. This property, however, fell way short of being an "Oceanfront Estate".

I will say that the local property manager - Rosie - was great about showing up the first night we were there to help us get the heater working in the house. She was very responsive and very helpful.

Aside from the heat not working properly, there was just a list of items / issues that in-and-of-themselves, wouldn't have been a big deal. But, when we considered the high rental fee and then this litany of items, we unanimously agreed this was not a place we'd recommend for further groups. Some of the issues we found --the house wasn't all that clean - floors throughout were very sticky. Two of the three refrigerators in the various parts of the house reeked of crab / fish that must have been stored in their by previous renters. The carpets were very old and stained and appeared dirty. The furniture was sparse and not enough seating in any room for the 18 this house is supposed to sleep. Further, the furniture was very worn and some of it in much need of repair (replacement) - especially the webbing/backing of the wicker kitchen chairs. Fireplace in kitchen didn't work. Fireplace in living area seemed very sketchy - gas leaking where coupling not tight. The metal deck furniture was literally rusted through and, in fact, one of the small tables crumbled on itself in the wind. It was obvious the 4 chairs and 2 tables were worthless but no one had taken the time to take them off the deck and get rid of them. Instead - there were 4 very inexpensive plastic lawn chairs to sit on the deck next to the rusted out set.

Again - we felt that this property was not as described and the rent charged led us to have higher expectations. If they accurately reflected the condition of the place and charged a much more reasonable rate - they'd have happier and returning guests.

Really Disappointed - Not as we Expected

  • 1 of 5

My siblings and I rented this large house for our annual get-together. We were very disappointed in the property. It is not as the marketing portrays it. We found that the heater wasn't working (Rosie helped right away with this.) The floors were not clean - very sticky. Carpets stained and old. Patio furniture had literally rusted through and collapsed on the patio - no one had taken time to remove. Found four plastic white patio chairs. Fireplace in kitchen didn't work. Fireplace in living area leaked gas (a lot) at the coupling - seemed dangerous. Windows were really bad, screens fell off a window or two when tried to open. Two of the 3 refers reeked of crab smell - were unusable. Kitchen chairs / wicker falling apart on sides. Not enough furniture/seats to handle 10 of us - let alone the 18 the place is supposed to sleep. Things like master shower was retro-fitted and had no handle to shut the shower door. Overall - we just felt the place was not what we expected for the high rental rate we paid. Suggest they either invest and bring this back to a high end rental property as they suggest in their marketing OR be honest about the property being dated and worn and charge a much more reasonable rental rate.

Never again

  • 1 of 5

At almost $1000/day, much left to be desired. The welcome 'gift' of a roll of paper towels, dish soap, another shampoo and conditioner, and a deck of cards was offensive. That qualifies as adult games? Where were the kids games? The hot tub was luke warm and murky. Unused. I'll be more careful in the future. I don't know if Vacasa or the owner is responsible, I'll not use Vacasa again.

Big house!!

  • 4 of 5

This was a great house for a large group of people. I was disappointed that the large jetted tub in the master bathroom was off-limits for you speak has it was leaking. There was a note by the cleaning staff attached to the tub letting us know we were not able to use it, I wish that I would've known that before we checked in. Also, we did not get our codes to get in the house till right before we got there because they kept saying they didn't have my signed contract even though I mailed it in months ago and then mailed in another 12 weeks before we were to arrive, and then emailed a copy as well. I was a little bit panicked by the time I got there. The house was beautiful and we all enjoyed our stay there very much. Please note that you cannot walk down to the ocean from the front of the house as many of the pictures might look like. This is a great place to stay when you just want to hang out in the house and talk, or to go out and visit nearby beaches and the lighthouse.

Owner's Response: We sincerely apologize for the confusion with the contract and appreciate this guest's patience in the matter. The property manager has removed the jetted tub as an advertised amenity until we can get the jets sorted out. Thank you!

Perfect Home for brothers Wedding

  • 5 of 5

This place is perfect for multi families. We had 18 family members staying at the house. The dollhouse (guest house) was perfect for family with baby. VACASA was great about letting us have a few extra people during the day for the wedding. We were able to easily fit eight cars in garage and driveway. The housekeeping and interior was clean and comfortable. Its a coastal house, so your going to get some musty smells when you first walk in. Some people have complained about windows. Not really dirty just double pane so some get haze in them. Can't do nothing about that but replace window. Thinking of having annual family reunion. It was perfect for our families.
