Families spend countless hours pool side - playing & grilling on the BBQ. Fantastic
memories are made here. You'll have six suites in the main house (all with private bath), plus an adorable pool side cottage with hot tub. We can sleep up to 20 fun guests. Rooms include sitting areas and Direct TV - some with whirlpool baths and remote fireplaces. A large kitchen island gives elbow room to many cooks - quartz counters and stainless-steel appliances. Seating for 18 on the inside in two dining rooms and 20 poolside with balcony height tables, chairs & banquet serving tables. Close by is Lake Weir and Carney Island county park with a boat launch. Only 5 miles to Spanish Springs town square, The Villages, for nightly entertainment, shopping & restaurants. 5 mins to the Orange Blossom Opry, Lake Weir Restaurants, boat & Kayak rentals & Dragon Flower Winery. 30 mins to Silver Springs for a glass bottom boat tour. Kayak the Silver River and see Rhesus monkeys downstream. Snorkel or kayak Juniper, Alexander or Rainbow Springs. Grab a few subs at Subway in Weirsdale (5 mins) before heading out for a fun day on the water. Rate is 1-14 guests (kids 0-2 free). 15-20 guests $13pp per night + taxes. Where you will sleep:

First floor:No climbing any stairs
Queen bed and sleeper sofa - view of the pool area.

2nd floor Interior:
Three queen bed rooms.
Two queen bedrooms have custom double arched marble showers, jetted whirlpools and remote controlled fireplaces.
Third room has a queen sleigh bed and a cozy step down sitting room.

The Cottage:
Located by the pool with a front and back porch, a tall king bed, electric fireplace, walk in shower, TV/surround sound, mini fridge and a 4 person therapy spa on the back porch (see pics). Add 1-2 roll-away single beds for 3rd & 4th person ($13. extra p.p. per night charge for groups larger than 14). We max out at 20 persons in 6 Guest Rooms and ONE cottage.

AREA KAYAKING TUBING AND SPRINGS:
Hwy 40 Silver Springs and Silver Springs State Park. Rainbow Springs to the west. On weekends plan to arrive at any of the springs at opening or shortly there after. Travel CR42 from our driveway east towards Juniper, Alexander, Salt and Silver Glen Springs. Area Springs are A MUST SEE - swim, kayak, canoe and snorkel.

Our Location:
Less than 5 miles from The Villages. 25 minutes south of Ocala. 75 minutes north of Orlando MCO Airport. We are 3/4 mile south of Lake Weir (Sunset Harbor road runs west and east from us with a spectacular view of Lake Weir)
Lake Weir's Carney Island is a huge local park for launching boats (10mins) housing a waterfront playground, covered picnic and bbq areas.

Ocala National Forest begins about 8 miles to the east. We are surrounded by many wedding venues. ONLY minutes to The Villages for shopping, dining and nightly entertainment & dancing. Five minutes from Lake Weir dining and beach/boat rentals. Fun times at the Dragon Flower winery and the Orange Blossom Opry, nearby.

Our goal has been to create a peaceful and private setting with nice furnishings and invite guests to enjoy and care for this special property for a time. From family rooms to whirlpool suites with hardwood floors, remote controlled fireplaces and sitting areas - it'll be fun finding your assigned rooms.

Two indoor dining rooms can seat a total of 18-20.

GAS BBQ grilling is fun poolside - with two balcony height tables and 12 chairs. A banquet table and folding chairs available. There's plenty of space to be together or apart with a large pool area; upper deck; covered side and front porch; playing field.

Victorian cottage (newly built) sits pool-side with a king bed, gas fireplace and a four person Coleman therapy spa. Can accommodate 4 by adding two roll away.
An adult must be present and responsible for those under the age of 18, while they are using the cottage and the cottage spa.

Seating:
The main dining room seats 12. An overflow dining area seats up to 6-8. The pool-patio area seats 20 ( Upscale two 6 person round tables with balcony height swivel cushioned chairs and two 6 person oblong table ( 6 folding chairs). A large side porch accommodates 4-6 folks dining and relaxing swivel chairs.

Character:
The historical part of the home with original ornate handcrafted wood work boasts a library with fireplace and piano. Whirlpool suites on the second floor also showcase original hardwood floors and ornate fireplace mantels.

A wraparound eastward front porch and a westward second-floor large deck provide many hours of sitting back and relaxing. A solar heated swimming pool (Dec-Feb for the hardy) is available. DirecTV in each room.

HISTORY OF THE PROPERTY:
Once a thriving Florida orange grove estate - circa 1887 Victorian lady with wrap-around porches - stands tall on a three acre countryside hill top. Original fireplaces, hard wood floors and 10 1/2 foot ceilings in the historical part of the building. Several additions have been added that include six guest bedrooms with private baths in the main house – including two whirlpool suites with fireplaces in the historical wing.

LOCAL AREA TO DO:
Live outdoor entertainment is close by on the Villages three lively town squares with fun and fanciful shopping, restaurants, movie theaters and dancing. Leesburg bike fest 18mins. Ocala's-Florida Horse Park 23mins.

To do in the area:
Book tickets for the The Sharon Morse Performing Arts Center in the Villages only 5.5 miles. Ziplining 45 mins. Antiquing Leesburg. Boating close by on Lake Weir - Chain of lakes, Leesburg - Silver and Ocklawaha River.

The Orange Blossom Opry is 1mile from the us - high end entertainment with the house band and famous billboard names.

RECREATION AND LAKEFRONT DINING:
15mins to Carney Island lakefront County Park on Lake Weir for hiking, swimming, boating and grilling. Two lakefront restaurants Gator Joes (Ocklawaha) and Eaton's Beach Sandbar and Grill (Weirsdale) 3mins from us, add their own flavor to your taste buds on airy Lake Weir. Eaton's Beach Restaurant also provide a lake side beach area - with long board, jet ski and pontoon boat rentals.

Publix Grocery - 2 Locations within 6 miles. Closest is Mulberry Grove. Take a right (west) out of our drive on CR 42 (3 miles exactly to Hwy 441) Cross over CR42 and continue west about 1.25 miles to Publix on left.
ALDI: 5.5 miles Take a right (west) out of our drive on CR 42 (3 miles exactly to Hwy 441) South on Hwy 441 2 miles – located on left beside Wal*Mart. 2.5 miles South of CR 42 on Hwy 441. Sam's Club -441, Lady Lake, FL . Located on Hwy 441. The Villages (Beside Home Depot and adjacent to Kohl's, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Best Buy and many chain restaurants i.e.., Outback, etc.) Dollar General/Subway/Gas - 1 mile. east.

Directions to Bushnell National Cemetery: Take CR 42 W to US-301 - pick up I-75 S. Take exit 309. Follow Sumter County Rd 476b to SW 102nd Ave 2 min (0.7 mi) to the Florida National Cemetery.

We're available by phone/TEXT/ in-person when we are required by the state to check the pool and spa chemicals (when convenient for you). We have an office-apartment on premises with an owner dedicated entrance - used when paperwork is desperately essential. We
do not intrude on your privacy. We reside at a 2nd home located close enough to respond to any of your emergencies.

Under the kitchen sink will be 50gal. garbage bags - dish soap & dishwasher detergent. Cling film, cooking spices in cabinet.

Keurig and regular coffee maker - 2 refrigerators with ice-maker. Everyday and fine china (fine china should be hand washed). Everyday glassware and fancy dishes - pots and pans - slow cooker and reg. coffee maker - kettle - frying pans. Double convection ovens, 5 Burner Gas cook top, Warming Drawer, 3 Compartment sink, Hand-sink

GAS BBQ grill - one propane tank is usually sufficient for a 3 night stay. PLEASE turn off the gas tank after each use - the same with the fire-pit (young ones play with knobs and gas escapes.) To Buy extra Propane before 5pm ACE HARDWARE IS LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF C25/CR42 Weirsdale - 5mins from us.

The cottage SPA JETS NEED TO BE TURNED OFF WHEN NOT IN USE AND SPA COVER BACK ON TO KEEP THE SPA WATER HEATED.

PLEASE INCLUDE DETAILS PRIOR TO BOOKING REGARDING ADA-CERTIFIED ANIMALS - WHAT SERVICE DO THEY PROVIDE? NO PETS ON THE PROPERTY PLEASE.
