FireHenrys is a great property for a holiday or vacation get-away to South Padre Island. The guest securing the reservation must be at least 25 years old. Unfortunately, we are unable to reserve the property to high school, college, or university groups. We also have another rental property, FireHenrys II, just four houses away on the same street. Just imagine the possibilities of having two properties in walking distance if your are planing for a family reunion. With both properties, we can accommodate 24 guests. Our private home is a relaxing vacation rental, including a new pool and jacuzzi hot tub, located at latitude 26.120409, Longitude -97.168874 on a resort beachfront community in the City of South Padre Island, Texas. South Padre Island is a beach destination located at the tip of the Texas coast, just north of Brownsville, Texas and is bordered on the east side by the Gulf of Mexico and on the west side by the Laguna Madre. The island is only accessible by causeway or boat.

Our two story, 3 bedroom, 3 bath home can accommodate up to 12 guests and is just a five-minute walk down Constellation to Aquarius Circle Beach Access #18. At that beach entrance, island visitors will find easy access to the Gulf of Mexico via a newly constructed boardwalk with outdoor shower for easy clean-up after a relaxing day on the beach. Waiting back at FireHenrys is Time Warner cable, and high-speed internet available throughout the house (TVs in all three bedrooms and the family room).

The master suite upstairs can accommodate four guests with a kingsize bed, daybed and private bath. A second bedroom upstairs can accommodate four guests on a queen size bed and two bunk beds - a perfect setting for young children. The downstairs master suite sleeps four with a king size bed and sofa bed. The special attraction in this suite is the newly installed jacuzzi tub and luxurious oversized glass brick shower complete with rain shower for your relaxation. This suite has direct access to a covered patio and pool area Washer and dryer units are available in the downstairs hallway. Please bring your personal beach towels. Bath towels provided by FireHenrys cannot be used at the beach.

FireHenry provides all bed linens and bath towels. Beds are adorned with colorful comforters, quilts, and blankets. If you happen to forget your personal toiletries, each bathroom will have travel-size bath soap, shampoo-conditioner, and toothpaste available for your first day.

A fenced in backyard provides privacy for your family as they relax by the pool and hot tub. For the ease and comfort of our upstairs guests there is an outdoor stairway off the side upstairs deck that wraps around the kitchen and family room.

The kitchen is spacious and complete with granite counters as well as all of the appliances, equipment, and cooking amenities/utensils needed to prepare that special island meal for your family and friends. A vaulted ceiling in the family room along with wall-to-wall windows and hardwood floors provides a relaxing and open environment that is easily accessible from the second floor bedrooms.

FireHenrys is a non-smoking facility and does not allow guests to bring their pets on vacation. Two driveways provide enough space in the front of the house to accommodate four cars.

South Padre has so many wonderful activities for your family to participate in while you are on the island. Island Cinema is only steps away and runs the most current movies for your enjoyment. Just across Padre Island Boulevard is the U.S. Post Office and several restaurants and bars are within walking distance from FireHenrys. South Padre Island enjoys a unbelievable variety of amusement amenities, including fishing, swimming, wind surfing, beach buggy rides, horseback riding, party cruises and a huge variety of water sports along the most beautiful gulf coast of South Texas. Your guests and family will also enjoy visiting well-know attractions such as The Birding Center, Turtle Rescue Center, Horseback Riding and Petting Center, and Museums. Shopping, restaurants with a variety of cuisines, and beach front clubs and bars are located throughout the island on our three major boulevards: Padre Island Blvd., Gulf Blvd., and Laguna Blvd. Another popular attraction is an eight-mile ride North to the end of the of Hwy 100. There you will find beautiful sand dunes and a natural beach setting that is admired by travelers from all over the the world. There are two drive-on beach accesses that allow you to drive north on the beach for over 20 miles.

The owners have owned a home on South Padre Island for over ten years. As educators for over thirty years, they have dedicated their careers to educating students throughout the State of Texas.

It has always been a dream of the owners to create a vacation home on South Padre Island that can provide families and guests with the most relaxing and beautiful environment possible. During the planning for FireHenrys, every decision was made with one guiding principle - Vacation home owners must create an island home setting that they would want to live in themselves and be proud to share it with family and friends. If it is not good enough for family and friends, then it is not good enough to lease. We would be proud for any of our friends or family to stay at FireHenrys.

Every decision that has been made to create FireHenrys has come with great consideration for our visitors to SPI. Are we finished with our ideas? Absolutely not. Will we add more and more unique amenities as the years pass. You better believe it! For now, we have worked diligently to provide a clean, safe, and colorful environment for your family and guests to enjoy.

Why Ernest Singleton chose Gulf Coast

We bought this property because it is located on one of the nicest streets on the island. Constellation is approximately two miles from the Queen Isabella Causeway, so we are far enough away from the heavier traffic during high season to remain a relatively calm neighborhood. There are only about ten permanent residents on East Constellation Drive. Many of the remaining units are vacation homes for the owners. There are no multi-story condominium units on our street. FireHenrys is conveniently located in walking distance to so many amenities. Within minutes, guests can walk to the Wanna Wanna Bar, multiple restaurants, cinema, post office, convenience stores. There is a sunset view of the Laguna Madre and on many calm days and evenings, guests can hear the waves turning over on the beach and smell the sea mist from the Gulf waters. Easy access to the beach was a number one priority. At the end of East Constellation is Aquarius Circle Beach Access #18, only a five minute walk from FireHenrys to paradise. We love the layout of FireHenrys. The spacious family room and kitchen along with the outdoor environment provided in the covered patio and pool area make it a comfortable setting for your relaxation and comfort.

What makes this house unique

FireHenrys will feel like your home away from home for your family and guests. Obviously, the jacuzzi bathtub and rain shower in the downstairs master suite will be a hit for everyone, but just as relaxing will be the hot-tub that overlooks and flows into the pool. Many guests want a break from the sun, but still want to be outdoors. The roof-covered patio and outdoor bar provide a relaxing environment and at the same time prevents over exposure to those mid-day rays. Without any doubt, the most unique thing about FireHenrys is its convenient location in a pleasant neighborhood with easy access to all of the amenities of the island.

Our family vacation was a success. Great rental property!

We stayed 7 nights and was fantastic. It accommodates my whole family comfortably. Fully stocked kitchen made it easy to make homemade meals, which was great. The backyard was amazing, beautifully landscaped and had an amazing pool and jacuzzi that was heated to our liking. Beach access was right around the corner with showers which was really convenient. Overall, this was an awesome place...will be back next year. Evans Family, 2017.

Loved our time in this great location!

Everything about the house was perfect for our large group. We had plenty of space. Having the pool and hot tub in the beautiful backyard setting was wonderful. With daily walks to the beach (yes, it really was less than 5 minutes) this was one of the most relaxing vacations I have had. I would definitely do it again and would love to stay in this house over and over again!

Welcoming and overall wonderful experience.

We had such a great time at the property. The owners we very accommodating. We were there for Christmas and New Years. Since it was the holiday time they worked with us for an easy check in and helped make our stay memorable. The house itself was very comfortable and plenty of space. The out door pool and hot tub was perfect to relax in since the ocean was rather chilly. Earnest recommended some great breakfast spots too. This was one of our best vacations ever!

Clean, well maintained, relaxing atmosphere, great pool and a wonderful owner to deal with!!!

This is a long overdue review but well deserved. My family still talks about the fun times we had at this property over spring break. With five little ones we were initially concerned about the party goers but upon arrival found this property to be located just far enough down the beach to avoid the major crowds. Best part of the property was the relaxing pool and back patio that allowed us to escape to our private oasis day or night. The owner, Ernest, was an excellent honest good person to work with. We booked very last minute / short notice and he had the place all ready and gave a personal tour of the pool workings ect. I was most appreciative of his generosity towards us as a military family and we want to say Thank You. We hope to come back again in the future!

Founded in 1977 by the Turtle Lady of SPI, Ila Loetscher, Sea Turtle, Inc. provides every visitor with educational presentations that teach us about the different species, how to identify them, and what we can do to protect them, including the rarest species, the Kemp's Ripley. Sea Turtle, Inc. is at the top of the list as an annual summer 'must see' activity for my entire family.

Just next door is a Wing of The World Birding Center, our own South Padre Island Birding and Nature Center. Open daily, this new birding and nature center, complete with a five story observation tower invites you to take an educational voyage from the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, through the dunes on the beautiful beaches of SPI, and into the Laguna Madre Bay. Over 5400 linear feet of bay-view boardwalks and pathways that meander through 43 acres of freshwater ponds provide bird and wildlife viewing at seven different bird blinds throughout the wetlands.

Schlitterbahn Beach Resort is just a short drive down Padre Island Blvd. The resort is open year-round and features a heated-indoor watermark, dining options, and spectacular views of the Gulf Beach.
