This beautiful beachside home is a perfect get away for friends and family. It has lush grounds with a tropical palapa. The GROUND LEVEl 3/2 also offers a beach entry pool, pool bathroom and two private patios. This Hacienda is situated on a spacious 2 1/2 lots with playground compete with swing set, mini trampoline and lots of running area for kids.

The beach access is at the end of the road, a short 3-5 min walk. You cross a two lane road that is traveled slowly. The city is completing the side walks which will make biking, skating, roller blading an easier and more safe activity.

There is an adjacent Casita with King bed, bath, kitchenette, large private patio. Steps from the pool and perfect for two. Can be RENTED SEPARATE for the extra guests. Property can sleep up to 10 guest with this addition.

I moved to South Padre Island about twenty years ago and fell in love with the island..and my husband. We live on property and are very selective of who we rent to. We do not commingle on the grounds during your stay. We are grateful to have you rent from us and respect everyone's privacy.

We love to assist in recommendations that make your stay amazing. we are very involved in the community business and great with recommendations from restaurants, charters and spa. We look forward to each and everyone's visit at Hacienda Lantana and hope you book with us!

Beautiful and Clean

The property is very beautiful! Everything is ready for you as soon as you arrive. The pool is just beautiful, my children loved every minute of it. It is right in the middle of the town so everything is a short drive or walking distance. I will definitely look for this house again on my next vacation.

Facility was exceptional.....was well taken care of and had all we needed. Was very close to be totally handicapped assessable....landlord even got a ramp for the one and only step on the property for my son. Will go back again I am sure.

Dayna & Jimmy are terrific people to rent from!

Their property on the island is absolutely wonderful. They were incredibly welcoming and accommodating.

This place has EVERYTHING you need and it’s so close to the popular island restaurants. We walked everywhere from here.

I would recommend this property to anyone! And the hot-tub is amazing!!

Nicely located near the beach!

From other reviews, it looks like things have gone downhill a bit in the last year or so.

Very easy communication (before and during our stay) with the owners who live in the second story of the house. They replaced a lightbulb, lowned us beach chairs and repaired the hot tub while we were there.

We rented the house and the Casita so there was plenty of space for our whole family with five adults and two kids.

The house is just a few blocks walk to the beach so we loaded one of our cars with our beach supplies, parked on the street near the beach and unloaded the supplies and walked to the beach from there.

Having the pool option when we were not at the beach was nice. And having laundry and grilling use was a plus.

The house is in a good location for restaurants, the grocery store, the bird sanctuary and for watching the fireworks.


The pool was always warm, it was not cool and refreshing.

The Wi-Fi was so weak it was not usable and that was very disappointing.

The master bedroom smelled of sewage so we had to use febreeze to improve and deal with the odor.

The master bathroom shower water pressure was so weak it wasn't usable and the water never got hot so we used the other bathroom shower instead.

There were many cooking pots and pans but they were old and the Teflon was peeling (which is dangerous) in several of them and several were dirty with baked on food.

The playground had lots of stickers so the kids avoided it after the first day.

Owner's Response: I felt it was time to address a few of the recent reviews as they are very mixed. We appreciate each guests stay, their opinions and the time to write a review. I want to express my dismay when one decides to use others opinions and follow based on half truths. I may not be responding to those reviews. I agree, I am more than easy to communicate with. I will assist in any way for my guests to be happy and accommodated. I agree that the three skillets were horrible! The cleaning staff has five hours for turn over. This should never have been an inconvenience for any guest. The guest could have texted me and I would have went immediately for new pans. If you don't communicate with me I can not be helpful. Update is that the pans have been replaced with ceramic and we left the stainless steel existing ones in place. I have tried very hard to not reveal that I live upstairs as I have two small kids and did not want strangers knocking on the door. Now that after four years it has been exposed, I would like to continue to ask for privacy. The positive of this, is that as a guest, I am accessible. Know we do not use the property or interact with guests unless that is something we both agree on. I respect your space and respect you are the guest. The hot tub was not fixed, it needed to be turned on. Perplexed with the water pressuere but considering it is the height of the season and everyone is using the water, note it is like that everywhere. The pool is 4 1/2 ft deep. We could not go any further deep. We ran into ocean water. It was summer. It is Texas heat and no way to keep this pool cold. There are occasionally some sticker burrs. I would guess there is approximately 5-10% of an ENTIRE LOT that has sticker burrs. We have had many kids parties and have never had any issues, other than you pick out the sticker burr. I purvey a unique and spaciously beautiful location with many conveniences and peaceful enjoyment. We hope that any future inquiries and guests have a better understanding, of not only the property but the integrity that we maintain in a rental home. Thank you Hacienda Lantana

great place to stay!

just a short walk to the beach. 3 bedrooms afford privacy for everyone. full kitchen and private pool. would be five stars but master bathroom needs some repairs and it takes someone very tall to get clothes out of the washing machine. otherwise, it's a great place to stay!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review! It is helpful and I was aware of the shower tile at the top plus the texture was bubbled. In retrospect, I should have communicated that. We have a five hour window before the next check in. Blessed that we were so busy with wonderful guests. I apologize that there was no time for that to be fixed. The top tile of shower has been fixed and the texture/ paint. I would have never thought about the washer being so deep. I am the short one in the family at 5'8" and rsalize we are tall. Thank you for pointing that out. I have a step stool now in the laundry room. We appreciated your stay and hope you consider us again! Thank you Hacienda Lantana

Hacienda Lantana is centrally located and on 3 lots providing ample outdoor space. It includes a beach entry pool, and an entire lot with playground. In a three block radius there is a Stripes convenient store, Palms Cafe, Padre Rita Ville, water tower park with playground, souvenir shop and First Baptist Church. Close proximity is Wanna Wanna beach bar, Blackbeards, Big Donkey, Whataburger and Feldmans liqueur. Beach access is at the end of the street, a short 3 min walk.
