I had such a great time! This place was perfect for the vacation I wanted. I have always been partial to the cuteness of A frame houses. I was disappointed there wasn't a washing machine. Under the "general" list is says washing machine. But when I looked somewhere else it said laundromat in town. I didn't bring enough clothes because I thought I could wash them. But I had a good experience at the laundromat in La Pine. I have 2 small kids so the steep stairs were an issue. I tried to keep them downstairs but they were so attracted to the stairs! The amount of kids stuff to do in the house was amazing: videos, games, toys, and a Wii! Also horseshoes outside. I stayed during record heat in the area and not having AC was harsh. There were 2 fans and we almost bought a 3rd. We just stayed out of the house from 1-8. I was kinda bummed about having to pay the $35 canoe rental and not having a way to transport it. If you can get it to the river, it will be worth it. The cell phone service was terrible. I was not able to search for places to go until I got into town. I ended up with 2 data overages while I was staying there for 4 nights. The cell phone service being poor can also be to your advantage if you don't want to be disturbed. 😜
Overall, we had a great time!!! Thanks!!!
We found the cabin very clean and just as described. Our stay was comfortable. The bed on the main floor is quite soft. The upstairs was lovely and cooled off very nicely at night. Whoever cleans and dusts this house is doing a great job. I wish the canoe rental was separate, we didn't use it or intend to, but it was added to our fees anyway.
The VRBO fee, tax, cleaning fee and canoe rental doubled the cost of our 2 night stay - be aware and don't assume the price listed per night is the cost- this was my first time using VRBO.
We love this place!!!
My husband and I have stayed here twice and are headed back in a few weeks. The minute we walked in it felt like home. Very clear. Plenty of supplies. Kitchen fully stocked with dishes and cookware. The owners are generous and kind.
My family of four enjoyed our stay and found everything to be just as described. The kids enjoyed the Wii, we played games, and all slept well. Thank you.
We are very glad that you enjoyed your vacation at Tall Pines Guest House, your personal vacation home in beautiful Central Oregon . Please come again soon!
Happy trails to you!
