On the Blue River in the historic mining town of Breckenridge, our charming three bedroom, 2.5 bath 'Blue River View' has been designed to create a warm, welcoming home for skiers. Our home is a duplex located on a private, wooded acre of land with views of the TenMile Range and Baldy Mountain, overlooking the Blue River, beaver ponds and our own large private pond just steps from the back door! Our location is the Warrior's Mark neighborhood in Breckenridge, an easy 10 minute walk on the level to Main Street and the Quicksilver lift. The FREE RIDE Breckenridge shuttle stop is 3 houses up Broken Lance from our home.

The Blue River View sleeps up to nine people very comfortably. Everything is provided to make your stay a memorable occasion.

The main floor includes a living room with 40" flat screen HD Cable with DVR, dining room with wood burning fireplace, kitchen and powder room. Off the kitchen is a large private deck with a gas grill, great river and mountain views and comfortable patio furniture. A charming log stairway leads to the second floor with king bedroom, queen bedroom and bathroom with oversized shower and separate vanity room. The lower level large bedroom sleeps five with two twin beds, a day bed and trundle, and a single sofa bed. There is a bathroom with shower. A door opens to the private patio, hot tub and garden furniture overlooking our private pond and the Blue River.

Say Goodbye to the hassle of keys! Our home uses a keyless entry system making it more convenient to access the home for you and your group! Plus no keys to return after your stay!

Nice property with a hot tub, in a great location for skiing at Breckenridge. Very close to a bus stop which takes you straight to the Peak 9 ski lift / base area, reducing the need to drive & park in the town.

Fantastic home in a great location. Easy walk to town or a short walk to the free shuttle. After a day of skiing it was nice to relax in the hot tub. Easy instructions for check in and out. Would definitely stay here again.

Location was perfect. Took bus to Breckenridge, 3 houses down was free city bus stop. Easy to drive to other mtns. Condo was clean. We would recommend this condo for skiiers.

Our family stayed over Spring Break '23. Very nice place, with plenty of room for a family of 4. The heated garage was awesome, and we used it to put on/off our ski gear daily. Free bus is walking distance, and takes you to the mountain, plus town.

Perfect home/yard & location

We loved our stay , it was perfect to fit all 9 of us comfortable & had everything we needed. We don't get snow where we live so this place was perfect place .We had a big area to go play in the snow . We even enjoyed sledding right in the back yard. It was close enough to walk to dining/ shopping areas or you can do a very short walk to bus stop & get a quick trip . With all the many bus locations it is very convenient to get where you need to go in Breckenridge We would definitely stay here again & recommend it to all our friends and family. This house is perfect for families who want privacy and to be close to popular dining/shopping. I loved having that whole big back yard area to ourselves . Love this place

Southerns winter wonderland

This place is amazing! The pictures do not do it justice. The host was quick to respond to any questions I had before our trip and during. The place is older, but gives it the nostalgic feel. The property was beautiful with a pond, that was half frozen. And snow everywhere! Big deal for us was, having a lot a nice towels to supply the number of people we had, and even towels for the hot tub. Which by the way, was amazing after full day of skiing. Perfect location. Close enough to walk to downtown, but secluded enough for quietness!! The house was also equipped with everything for cooking (utensils, pots, pans), paper towels, soap, garbage bags, etc. Which is nice to not have to go to store right away. And every bed was comfortable and cozy. We are from Florida, so this was a perfect New Year!

Wonderful Winter Warmth!

I love the moisture shampoo, and body washes - nice touch. Tons of great stuff to cook and eat/drink with. Love the split floor plan for the boys and kennels downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. Super smart having specified towels for the hottub (too cold outside for us - my sons tried it one night but i was too tired!) The heated garage was awesome for coming off the slopes and having some chairs in there to sit on while taking off ski boots was perfect! The owners were over the top accommodating, available for any silly questions I had. The shuttle took is downtown for dinner and to the slopes for skiing. I was very, very pleased with this awesome location! There really isn't anything I could recommend to make it better! Thanks so much!

The property was OK overall, but there were a few things that definitely detracted from our stay and fell short of expectations, especially for the price. Location is great, very close to downtown but fairly quiet and secluded feeling. Deck was nice, and when the neighbors weren't around, it nice being able to hang out there. Kitchen was well stocked and even had spices (which is uncommon in our experience), though no oil (which seems common - we usually bring our own knowing this). Lots of dishes and utensils, including multiple grilling tongs. If you have a large group, there are plenty of beds. But, we found the beds to be among the least comfortable we've ever found in a VRBO property. The mattresses sagged badly, which made for some uncomfortable nights of sleep. There were also a number of burned out light bulbs throughout the house; there is a nice Keurig, but also a coffeemaker that had clearly had a problem or was never cleaned where the filter goes in because there was a ton of crusted coffee left behind; there was noticeable mold inside of the water kettle; and, with it being rather warm when we were there we wanted to open some windows but it was pretty hit-or-miss on whether a window would open and it was hard to get any kind of breeze going in the house (no AC, FYI). Oh, and the grill is in desperate need of a cleaning internally (lots of sizable flare-ups).Overall, nice host, a great location, and a neat place, just in need of some updates.

Disappointed

This property was a great location but needs a deep clean and tons of TLC. The big bonus of this property was that it had a fully stocked kitchen but other than that, we were super disappointed. The front door key pad wasn’t operational upon arrival and required us to go out and purchase batteries to make it work. The house didn’t look like it had been thoroughly cleaned in a long time. We had to wash the bed linens cause they had stains, the carpets had animal hair, all the base boards were absolutely filthy and there was at least an inch of dust on the light fixtures. The living room furniture was completely falling apart. The couch was falling apart and foot rests were broken in pieces. Both the upstairs beds were horribly uncomfortable! The dryer would only work for 10 minutes at a time which was super frustrating. The downstairs sink wouldn’t drain at all. This would not be a property I would recommend, especially at this price point.

Gorgeous! Absolutely stunning!

We could not have been happier with this home! It was nice to have a parking space inside for the surprise 8 inch snowfall, and the park-like setting in the back was absolutely beautiful! We had so much fun exploring the river and lake behind the property, and loved cooking out on the beautiful deck overlooking our own private nature preserve. And the hot tub was a phenomenal bonus! If you're lucky enough to be here while the snow is falling, you're lucky enough!

Great house!

This house worked well for our group of 8. Plenty of space in the rooms. The two rooms upstairs share a bathroom but it worked out fine, extra fluffy towels! Only small complaint was the couch in the living room was not very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay and the view out the back was beautiful!

Fantastic Lodging in Great Location in Breckenridge

Your hosts, Hap, Margaret & Sarah Henderson, enjoying one of our favorite picnic spots just a short drive from our Blue River View. For over a decade we have been hosting ski groups in winter and family reunions in summer.

Why they chose this property

We enjoy skiing in the winter but summers in Breckenridge are even better. We had been renting vacation homes in various parts of Colorado each summer and when we had an opportunity to purchase this home on a large lot with a pond and river frontage in town, we jumped at the chance.

What makes this property unique

Our home is an easy walk to Main Street or just hop on the shuttle two doors down. We are the only home in town with a private fishing pond in addition to private river frontage. Hiking and mountain bike trails are nearby and the lifts at Peak Nine are also closeby.
