About the property

2200 sq foot home on a hill with 360 degree views from every window.

***** Discounted rates***** We blocked Aug and part of Sept for construction installing a new front deck railing system.

We had the deck repainted and the construction of the new railing is now scheduled for much later. That means as of July 17th the rates are going ot be dropped to get August and Sept booked . Rates go back up Sept 15th.

And now back to the regular description of Forest View Sedona Home......

It is remote, yet in the middle of Sedona. It is quiet and secluded, yet in 10 minutes

( 1/4 mile) you are shopping. You can be hiking in 10 minutes from the home ( 100 Yards) or you can just sit and look at the red rocks from either the front deck or the rear deck. You can sip your coffee inside and look at the views . There are no bad views from this home.

The home is booked about 95 % the year with new and repeat travelers.

We stopped pre booking 2 years out but the home normally gets booked 8-12 months in advance during the high session Jan-May. If you are looking at this home as a possibility, drop me a line and i will help you. We only want happy travelers so if our home is not a perfect fit i will tell you and send you to one of our friends who have homes in Sedona and the Village of Oak Creek ( VOC). This home was booked year round in 2014-2016

and 2017(96% Occupied).

This vacation home is high up in midtown Sedona below the Y by Schnebly Hill, in an upscale, quiet neighborhood with some of the most spectacular views in Sedona. Check out the reviews and photos.

You will find this space a comfortable and cozy retreat space to get away from it all. People have described staying here as a feeling of being embraced within the space.. Tile floors, gorgeous granite counter tops and nice cabinets define the kitchen and dining area while all of these areas have open views to the fabulous vistas. There is a hot tub on patio to view the red rocks glowing at sunset. Gas fireplace in greatroom by TV, fabulous views from the king bed, Take that necessary time for yourself!! Enjoy retreating and getting back in touch with yourself and your loved ones!

Wake up in the Master bedroom gazing at the spectacular rock formations. A new added feature is the PUREROOM addition. We have hypo allergenic pillows and bed covers that keep any dust mites out of the bed. The water system was added to remove all the Impurities of the water. Sedona does have a high level of Arsenic in the water. We added the system to remove those toxins .

Master bathroom has a steam shower to help remove built up toxins.

Master bedroom with king size bed. Double sinks in master bathroom, and Steam Shower.

Second master bedroom with queen size bed, and in-suite bathroom with tub/shower. HDTV

Small third room with a futon – Small Office wall system.

The third bathroom is a 1/2 Bathroom.

Queen Air Mattress – ability to put an extra air mattress on the living room floor.

Wall mounted HDTV, DVD/Video/CD player. DVDs/Videos/CDs/Books/Magazines/games all provided.

Complete Kitchen with cooking utensils, toaster, blender, regular and Keurig coffee maker.

Convection oven , Microwave and Dishwasher

Washer/Dryer room.

Sheets and towels provided.

Lounge on the 1500 Sq. feet of decking in the front, side and back area. Pure fresh water hot tub with breathtaking views.

Walk outside and within 50 yards walk onto the fabulous Sedona hiking trails. Easy access to meditate & center oneself in the creative/healing Sedona vortexes–Within a 5 minute hike you can get away from it all and not see any other homes.

The upper deck, overlooking magnificent views of Snoopy Rock, Lee's Mountains, Wilson Mountain, Schnebly Hill mountains and the spectacular sparkling stars by night.

Walk down the hill turn left and you are at Hillside shops, restaurants , or turn right you are in the Tlaquepaque shops and the beautiful Los Abrigados resort for dinner.

I have owned a video production company since 1972.

We have produced many ongoing TV shows that you may have seen. Many of our productions are with corporations and this takes me away many times a year.

My wife is a mail carrier and we both plan on retiring here at this home.

We love it here and are happy to share it while we are not there.

We have listed this home on VRBO among a few others- The Forest View home is by far the most popular and most requested home we have. We have been blessed to have such good people staying in our home. Many repeat their visits here every year.

My father owned hotels in San Diego and in Phoenix and i grew up watching his process with his hotels. He took pride in happy customers and that has trickled down to Laurie and me. We do our best to be available all hours of the day to insure that your stay is the best and without any hiccups.

Everything you can possibly need

Great location! Excellent restaurants within walking distance. Beautiful views from house. Evenings on the gigantic wrap around deck were peaceful and very pleasant, giving you views of the lovely town of Sedona. House supply's anything you could possible need. Very clean and comfortable. We had two last minute additions to our party. All six of us very comfortable in house. Would stay here again.

Gorgeous home in prime location!

We loved staying here. The kitchen, livingroom, 2 bedrooms and patio are amazing, well furnished and the views are beautiful from each room! The 3rd bedroom was a very small office with just a futon and a desk. But since we were using it for a 4 year old, it sufficed 😉? . The location is perfect. So close to everything and since it's up on a hill you still have a nice clear quiet surrounding. It was great that it was well stocked with all the condiments, even sugar for our coffee. Using VRBO in the past we have stayed at places that barely supply enough toilet paper, so we were excited to see things like honey for our tea and ketchup! Also it is VERY CLEAN! Just a few things and nothing that would stop us from staying again. There is a tenant downstairs and we had a friend come over for drinks, they didnt feel safe driving home so she stayed on the couch. We were told there would be a fee for her staying with us the one night. Which I dont believe he ever charged. Also, I advise keeping the laundry room door closed. There was obviously a kitty living there at one time and it smelled very strong of kitty box. But all in all, we had a great time and would love to stay again. Thank you for providing such a comfortable place!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your nice words regarding our home . You are always welcome. Let me clear up some of the items you mentioned regarding the home. 1. The person that lives on the 1/2 acre property is my cousin and he does not live downstairs. He lives in an studio apartment part time, as he is one of the owners of the shops uptown and needs to stay close sometimes. Also, he is security and helps if something goes wrong with an appliance in the home. Lucky this happened only once, and the fireplace was fixed the same day. 2. There is no cat or never has been a cat on that property. In 2010 we brought our cats up there for a day when we first bought the home. There is moth balls that are in the garage that keeps the mice out that may be the order but for sure there is no cat box since 2010. There is a cat that roams around the neighborhood that the security cameras caught a few times. But never in the home. 3. The Rental agreement that you signed outlines the rules regarding extra guests. I told you that is what is charged automatically through VRBO. I did not charge you for the two guests that you brought that night. I said that charge is what the cleaning people charge for the extra linens. 4. The rooms are all shown on VRBO. Most people take the futon out and put the queen blowup there - has not been a problem in the past. Like I said, thank you for your stay and you are welcome anytime. In 8 years our reputation for providing a clean home and providing everything someone needs, is flawless. I want to keep it that way - We are selective on how we rent to - In that, as you found out, the home is in an exclusive neighborhood unlike most in Sedona. It is not a track home like many in Sedona and most of the homes on that hill have casitas, guest houses or studio apartments. These homes range from 700k to 2.1M and we have to watch who comes in our neighborhood. We have been lucky so far. Thanks again and hope to see you back at Forest View again, Damon. james

Absolutely Beautiful!!

We come to Sedona every summer for our daughters' swim meet and this year decided to stay a couple extra days to explore, take our kids to Slide Rock, etc ... we are SO glad we booked this house for our long weekend!! The house is absolutely gorgeous, was very spacious for our family, the kitchen is fabulous, and the views from all around are simply spectacular!! We enjoyed the quiet and the stars while out on the deck and hot tub each evening and had all of the comforts of home ... it's very secluded and peaceful, yet only minutes from restaurants, shopping and the pool where our swim meet was held. James was awesome and very thorough with all of the information we needed prior to our trip, as well as he checked in with us the day of our arrival, making sure we had gotten inside ok and that everything was as we expected. Everything was perfect!! Our family had an amazing time in this home, it was such a great weekend for us and our daughters and we most certainly hope to book again next summer when we return to beautiful Sedona!! Thank you SO much James for everything, we are very grateful to you for allowing us to stay in your home!!

Beautiful house in beautiful location

My daughters and I spent the better part of a week in Sedona and this house was the perfect home base for us. We walked in and first impression was it smelled good, it was immaculate, and decorated with exquisite taste. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes / cookware, furniture inside and out was abundant and comfortable. Two big, beautiful bedrooms with comfortable beds and great views ! We enjoyed the decks outside and the hot tub immensely. James communicated everything we needed to know, including sending a packet of clear instructions with pictures. House has modern amenities and appliances, plenty of bath and beach towels to use. Surprisingly bug-free and quiet at night. House is up on a hill- we didn’t walk anywhere but it was certainly easily accessible with our car. The added bonus was the Red Rocks passes that are available for the renters to use - saved us money, very convenient. Also plenty of books with area hikes which were helpful. Thank you James for that! We had a perfect vacation and would love to rent this house again if we return to the area.

You nailed every selling point of the home. You are welcome to stay any time. and Tank you for leaving the home in such nice condition. I am glad you got to use the Red Rock Passes- saves up to $100, i have found. Bug free- Yes we try very hard to use the electronic bug repellent - we never have sprayed the home once. I did fine a cricket once... ;) Did you use the Hot Tub? Did you know that it is filled with Filtered water? I bought a water filtration system when i found out the water had arsenic in it. The skin is very absorbent and i did not want my guests or myself to sit in water that is full of chemicals. So happy you had the time that you expected. Come back again - you get discounts for that. James
